  1. I really did enjoy Quiet Place, but that nail in the step really takes me out of it. For one, in no build of any steps anywhere would a nail be pointing up like that in the middle of a step. It was not connected to anything. It was not holding the step to another board or another board to the step. And nobody would pound a nail in to a step from the bottom up. Second, up to that point, they went out of their way to show several instances of the mother being ever so careful about every movement she was making. If this same person did snag her laundry bag on "something" on the steps, she would not have just pulled so hard to have bent such a large nail straight up and then gone on her merry way. She would have quietly put the bag down and investigated more closely to see what the snag was and fixed it. Again, I did like the movie quite a bit, but that one point really stuck with me when I saw it in theaters, and I made sure to watch more closely when we more recently watched it at home. Still sticks out to me and bugs me to no end. Poor plot point to an otherwise really decent movie.
  2. Savage probably wanted to rid WWF of the Warrior before attempting to go after the title again. If things went according to his likely plan, he beats Warrior in the retirement match at Mania, then goes on to beat Sarge or Hogan for the title at the following SummerSlam. Unfortunately, he had the power of the Warrior unleashed upon him at Mania and he lost, then he went soft when he was reunited with Elizabeth.
  3. What if when Brock is on RAW next week, Braun tries to cash in but Owens stops him from doing it to save the briefcase for his SummerSlam match?
  4. Finn v Drew ended with Seth pinning Dolph Goodnight everybody
  5. Wasn't The Rock going to be in Shazaam as Black Adam? Is that still a thing and they didn't want to spoil it in the trailer? Or is that being saved for a possible sequel?
  6. I know much of that is written in jest, but it kind of would make for a really fun couple of months of TV
  7. Yeah, I was almost always a heel guy, even as a youngster. Bobby Heenan was a favorite of everybody in my house just because of how damn entertaining he was. And Hogan's "train/prayers/vitamins" schitck was just so corny, not to mention that every match he had was exactly the same. It got old quick. I had a sign confiscated from 12 year old me at a SuperStars TV Taping that said "Hulkamania Is Dead! Long Live Earthquake". I am visibly in the front row cheering wildly for "Ravishing" Rick Rude and Bobby Heenan as they walk by. There were a few faces I liked - Steamboat, Warrior, Superfly - but I mostly disliked all the faces. I think the only guy I disliked more than Hogan was Tito Santana.
  8. I could see Roman and Lashley going to some sort of draw via double countout or DQ to then set up a triple threat at summerslam. I could also see Brock winning that match to close the show. Then Braun cashes in the next night on RAW to win the title and send Brock packing to UFC.
  9. "I know his moves. I know his counters. AJ Styles is an open book to me, and I'm at the library all the time" - Rusev is awesome
  10. I thought that the opening pull apart was well done and the crowd was in to it. I still don't care about their match on Sunday, but that segment was well done. How long was the Rollins/McIntyre match? I dont get the thinking booking a 20+minute match to promote a "grueling" 30 minute Iron Man match. That's also to say nothing of the fact that Rollins and dolph have already had two almost 30 minute matches already. What is so Iron Man about a match that goes as long as a typical match for these guys? I did like seeing McIntyre get the win, though. And, yeah, I think they realized how bad the therapy stuff was, so they tried reshooting it with another "therapist" (must cost too much to fly Dr Shelby in), and even THAT was horrible, so they just stuck with inserted clips. I mean, I guess it makes too much sense to just let these two tell their story in the ring with 15-20 minutes or something. All in all, it wasn't a horrible show, but it dropped off in the third hour, which is typical for RAW.
  11. There's an SDL house show coming to my town in October. A couple years back they came through and I got myself a front row seat for the first time ever and it was a blast. At that show, we had the main event of AJ vs Ambrose World vs IC title. With the current SDL roster, I'm planning on trying to snag a front row seat again for this show. Hopefully Bryan is still around by then, as getting to see him wrestle again up close would be a fun time. Plus AJ, Joe, Nakamura, Asuka, Becky, Usos, Bludgeons, Rusev, Miz, possibly Jeff Hardy......I don't think that's a card I could pass up.
  12. Wasn't the following RAW held in Atlanta or North Carolina or another similar WCW stronghold city? They could've just waited one more week to have the WCW matches in front of what likely would've been a stronger crowd for the WCW guys.
  13. I saw a similar thing with a team where both members were just 2 Star Silver, but a total of over 43000
  14. Ticket sales for Extreme Rules must be pretty poor if Ronda is able to buy herself a front row ticket this close to the show.
  15. If you're a parent of a toddler who likes to watch YouTube and are sick of the toy unboxing and Elsa and Blippi videos, here is something my son and I have been doing for just over a year now. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCymwxa-llU0Q2qwGdd6SLDA/videos It's his own YouTube channel that is mostly alphabet related, but there are other videos when we do a special trip somewhere like to SkyZone or Michigan Adventure or the Animal Farm. We started making short videos of him playing with his alphabet toys awhile back, and as soon as he saw himself on YouTube he wanted to keep making more and more. We never make a video unless he asks first, and he usually "directs" the videos telling me what he wants to do and how to do it. I try to keep the videos a decent length and try to make them at least somewhat interesting. I try to make them somewhat tolerable for any adults that may also be watching, but am interested to see if other kids actually enjoy watching these things. Anyway, check it out if you are in search of an alternative to some of the other toddler age YouTube channels out there and if you like it "Don't Forget to Subscribe!"
  16. The things I love have the worst fans. What is worse? Wrestling fans or Star Wars fans? I dunno, man. I.....I dunno.
  17. No mention yet of Alison Brie's freeze frame moment at the end of that segment? ?
  18. I'd suggest 40/40/20 and the follow up two part Night Begins To Shine special, but you may want to make those the last episodes you watch after viewing a few others to familiarize yourself with the characters first. I can't remember the episode names, but there's one where the Justice League is captured by Darkseid (who is voiced by Weird Al Yankovic!) and the Titans attempt to rescue them. There are several Christmas episodes that are fun, including 2nd Christmas. And one of the first episodes in season 1 that introduces Trigon to the show as a TV Sitcom Style Dad to Raven. That one is a good episode to get to know the characters and you can go from there. Oh, and another one who's name I do remember is Fourth Wall where Control Freak attempts to "reboot" the team to a more sophisticated show, which is funny due to the fact that it starts with the current show Titans finding out they used to be a much cooler show, then get really upset when they binge watch the old show and find out that it ended on a cliff hanger and there was no resolution. They really take the piss out of themselves as well as all the people who now complain how the old Teen Titans show was SOOO much better than this one. Oh, and the super Meta 200th episode was also really fun, depending on how off the rails you like your stuff to go. I got in to the show because my toddler loves it, but I found myself really liking it as well. I dig the writing, humor, and references in the show, along with the fact that they don't take themselves seriously at all. I do find it quite funny most of the time and both of us are quite excited for the new movie next month.
  19. Roman Reigns, Randy Orton, and AJ Styles have all also jobbed to Jinder Mahal.
  20. The problem I have with Dolph winning the IC title is that less than a year ago he won the US title, then relinquished it the next night because it was beneath him and he's better than the secondary title. Then he comes back with little to no fanfare at the Rumble and coasts along being exactly the same as he ever was like that US title thing never happened. And now suddenly he's OK with winning the IC title. It should've been Drew
  21. Vince looks horribly old in the still for that video.
  22. The Alexa spot should have been Natalya. They have been building this "friendship" since Natalya jumped from SD (as a heel) to RAW and now was suddenly a face and "best friend" with Ronda. Seems to have obviously been set up to have Natalya turn on Ronda. Her winning the case and doing the cash in exactly how Alexa did would've been a much better story.
  23. I'm guessing a countout or dq victory for Asuka when Carmella walks or gets intentionally disqualified so she can retain the title
  24. That's like people in their online profiles or whatever who say "I just love to laugh". Well....yeah.
