Okada's dropkick alone would get him far in this tournament. Going by the video Dragon Lee is great. But Okada is really, really great. It helps that he's in matches that align more with what I like in a match. If he's this good now, I can only imagine how he'd be in a year or two.

Gulak is the easy pick. I could never get into ADR. Nowadays he's presented as this hero, especially with how he left WWE. But try as I might it's impossible to get into his matches. With Gulak from the couple matches I've seen he is just straight up better. Better wrestler, and his matches held my interest a lot more than any ADR match. Too bad he's going to lose.

This is one matchup that I think they actually did recently. I like Ricochet, and as Prince Puma he's been great. But botched Styles Clash aside, I'm going with AJ. He got out of TNA and made himself more relevant than he's been in years. That, and he's had great matches ranging from Hanson to Okada. And most of them have been pretty damn great and better.

Shit, I picked the wrong guy, how do I retract that? I meant to pick Ultimo. This is the easiest matchup of the day. Roman has a ways to go before proving himself as a single. The match against Bryan was great, as were the tag matches, but that wasn't really because of him. I'd like to see him have a great match against somebody who isn't as good Bryan. Then I'd consider him. But thank goodness I've been watching CMLL on Azteca. Ultimo is my pick (well, I at least hope so if I could change that)

Was Regal's last match against Cesaro? If that was his "retirement" match, then I can't think of a better way for him to end it. An actual match with Owens wouldn't work for me, but a physical altercation could work. Love the idea of teasing to hurt Graves, but not until they have a Balor/Owens match setup for the special. Rhyno's promo was fantastic. He didn't come across at all like a guy from the past or somebody trying to get on the main roster. He appeared to be 100% focused on NXT and that's going to lead to some fun matches. Also smart to hype Kendrick up instead of the surprise entrance that Rhino had. The fans liked Rhyno more which led to a helluva reaction.

I did vote on who the board would predict. But I have to admit I had Sami winning it all so I think I'll be seeing myself low in the rankings.

I didn't truly grasp how hard this is going to be until I started making my picks. Rippa, you are an evil, evil man for these matchups. I think some gray hair came in just by making my picks. This is going to be a tough one.

It took me some time to dare bike on the road. Biking to Fells Point and the Harbor is always dangerous for me. Even with bike lanes I don't trust the drivers where a fair amount drive like idiots. That, and I get claustrophobic at times when trying the bike lane. That's why I prefer trails if possible, just hate dealing with the bike rack. For pet peeves, I HATE the misuse of the word "Literally". It always irritates me when somebody says something like "I'm literally going to die." Unless you're terminally ill, you're not literally going to die. Nobody uses the word "Figuratively" in these situations. Better yet, don't use either word if unsure and say it sucks. Lots of grammar pet peeves here. It seems Weird Al's "Word Crimes" resonates loudly with us.

I bet all Lesnar talk is being done in the general wrestling discussion, and that's fine. But Brock was there to be courted by Dana, which is weird considering he's WWE champ. Very interested to see what happens next. And why in the blazes would Cat try charging to start? Not a good idea at all. But I'm very much a Ronda Rousey guy so I'm happy to see her win. Whoever is next better have a gameplan that stands half a chance.

I should be getting one, I signed up on day 1. In that year I've had to change my debit car/information twice due to people trying to mess with it. Both times I got a payment error for the Network until I changed the information. The second one just unsubscribed me altogether and I had to re-sub. Long story short, I guess that keeps me from getting the $25 which if true is really annoying. I'd try their support team but I have little to no expectations.

I have these on DVR, but haven't seen them yet. I'm certainly up for watching these in one night. If there was ever a time for Rza to host a movie, him hosting this marathon would be ideal.

I've never been a Star Trek fan, yet always felt great appreciation for what he brought to the Spock role. He seemed to me like a likeable, talented guy. Didn't know about his COPD until just now, buy it sucks that even after quitting smoking for 30 years it still got to him. That sucks. I couldn't stop laughing at their take on Rosa, questioning if she's as wrestler. What sealed it for me was Jericho saying how some think she's not. Their segment almost sounded like something a WWE rookie would say. "Hey, the travel's great, but it does get boring." "I missed my mommy, but now not so much." It's pretty interesting how they took to life on the road. But yeah, they're pretty great. The first half of the Storm interview great a fun listen. It was nice for a change hearing Lance sound pretty relaxed and not bitching about current wrestling. Looking forward to part two.

Yes. The only main event in round 1, apparently... Well, if it helps any I'd pay good money to see Styles/Ricochet, Brock/Bryan, and Neville/Pentagon, Jr. Damn, looking at the brackets makes me wish there were still current saves for Fire Pro. I'd love to see how the tournament goes that way. As it is I'll make do with 2K15 and hope for the best. Too bad they don't have a way to change the logic of CAWs like Fire Pro did.

It's kind of like that gas canister from the second to last episode of Agent Carter. Once the gas is released it makes everybody want to kill each other. These brackets are the DVDR equivalent of that (ain't that some hyperbole, huh?) But it will be very contentious, and I'm calling for at least one user to take a nap. That said, Cena/Tanahashi? Jeezus, that's a main event in any arena! And tournament! The thing with the first round isn't that I go towards those I'm familiar with. It's more I go with those I like. When matched up with a relative unknown, this year the guys I know are ones I like. I'm going to check the unknown's stuff, but it's going to be hard to pick. I just might get more gray hair out of this...like I needed anymore.

I've noticed they do that where they show the movies earlier in the week. I remember wanting to see Texas Adios for Grindhouse but found it on that Monday night. Would be nice if they held off on showing them earlier and treat Grindhouse like a network premiere of some sort.

With this discussion I'd be up for a mini tournament for best dressed wrestler of all time. Flair might have to be disqualified though for it to be semi-fair. I enjoyed Ross's episode with Hurricane Helms, but I was annoyed at the constant talk about wearing darks. I really didn't need to hear that he had NASCAR grade underwear for the WK9 show.

Of all the ideas, I like Tina Fey the best. It'd be like a spinoff of Weekend Update and she was awesome in that role. Not sure what she's doing now, but she'd be great at it if they're up for tossing enough money at her.

That's probably why when they hype him up in commercials that's never mentioned. Sounds it would never see the light of day on the network, and I'm fine with that.

I don't remember too much about the thread, but I miss that. I do remember there were a lot of things worthy of a bus visit. Just as there would be a lot of things now worth it. So I guess it was banned due to arguments that spiraled out of control? I'd love for that to make a return, but it doesn't appear it will be.

If not for the ending scene it'd make sense to just wrap up the show. Not sure if they got picked up for a second season, but if so then that's a good hook to bring into season 2. And Agents of SHIELD is back next Tuesday. It's interesting how the focus on the ads is mainly about Skye. I am absolutely fine with that and can't wait for the premiere.
