  1. Love would be great even if he himself had a solid #2. Great power forwards absolutely need a great SG or SF to play off of. Pekovic ends up having to work really hard trying to clean up the defensive mess that is the Timberwolves, as well. If Love were more solid on the defensive end, they would be a much stronger team. What makes Love a detriment is that he plays alot like Kobe, in that he's going to look for his shot first 9 times out of 10.
  2. Thanks for making that list, man. That will really help me in getting caught up.
  3. I think people rated Paige/Emma so highly because it was given kind of a main event level feel. Also add in the skill level of Emma, and you have a match that was worlds better than it really should have been.
  4. Was it a... NASTY experience?! I would think it was the PITS.
  5. I recreated Mega Powers vs Mega Bucks yesterday and it was a blast.. However, I noticed that the game is too easy on normal difficulty. I definitely need to look into those sliders. I was having my way with Andre a little too easily.
  6. Ahhhh, how could I forget Badd/DDP? I love those matches. Once the junior heavyweights started coming in, the tv shows got much better, but those guys didn't get much ppv time(outside of the NJPW angle) until spring of 96-ish.
  7. There were good matches sprinkled in those shows, but they were largely terrible. I remember liking the Flair/Macho stuff, Sting/Meng, Sting/Flair, Bubba/Duggan and the NJPW stuff.
  8. Badd/Anderson was pretty good, and Vader vs. Duggan was the last good match of Duggan's career, and was shockingly excellent. They just beat the living hell out of each other. But, yeah, the rest of that show was garbage with a side of garbage. Pretty much everything after Havoc 94, up to like, early 96 was buttcheeks.
  9. So something I thought about tonight during the Mavs-Twolves game. Is Kevin Love a MVP candidate? I say no. His statline is amazing, but it doesn't lead to wins. If you are going based on stats alone, you could have made a case for Rondo a couple of seasons.
  10. I'd like to thank Phil for forgetting to manage his team this week.
  11. That's not really fair though, because even the league admitted that the second technical foul was bullshit.
  12. Thst or have someone else force Rowan to give himself the claw. Me and my old tag team partner lowkey worked this spot into a match last year, actually. We made our opponent claw himself.
  13. Exactly. That could have made a HUGE difference in the Memphis series last year. Z-Bo knew he owned him, and bullied him the whole series.
  14. He can at least pretend to be a miserable dude. It works for Kendrick Perkins. Perkins is a bitch, but he sure has a tough aura. People used to label Dirk soft. The only way to change perception is to do the things that people accuse you of not doing. The problem with Blake is that I think he lacks that killer instinct that real winners have.
  15. All bigs should have to go to an Oakley seminar.
  16. Chuck just brought up an amazing point about Blake. He has the reputation that you can disrespect him and take shots at him. He's a big strong dude, he needs to fix that.
  17. MD3 has probably the only somewhat plausible hockey game in the entire series.
  18. I have no job and my PS3 died, so it's not like I have anything better to do.
  19. Speaking of Floyd, he's been trolling everyone lately. Posting photoshopped pics of him whipping Maidana, Khan and Pacquiao's asses. Watch him fight neither of those guys now lol
  20. With that kind of draft cycle, the NBA would turn into the MLB, minus the high salary caps. All the best players end up in the big market teams, you forget the small market teams exist. I'm surprised the NBA hasn't adopted that structure, frankly.
  21. For some reason I watched the Mighty Ducks series this past week. Maybe it's the weather. I still love them, but I had an odd feeling coming out of it that I want to write a screenplay for Mighty Ducks 4. Am I crazy?
  22. Clippers vs Warriors is breaking down into a war. Total bullshit call on that Griffin technical foul. I'm no Clippers fan, but that was all on Bogut.
  23. If you don't know about Gorilla Productions, shame on you.
  24. Akiyama's back has been fucked for a few years now, actually. Back when Misawa died, I recall that Akiyama was supposed to be taking time off, or at least taking it easy in 6 man tags to rest his back. They had to move him back into main events after the accident.
