The amazons didn't rape the sailors. They just killed them after the sex. I want to say it was based around some of the actual mythology surrounding amazons. The males' relationship with Hades is more father/sons as far as they and Hades were concerned. The thing is it really didn't alter core of who Diana was which I think was sort of the point. It more lifted the veil of fantasy on her and the amazons background. Honestly I sort of got the feeling Azzarello's run was meant for people who liked Wonder Woman but maybe didn't care much for her actual background. As dark as it was, it actually left plenty to build off of and potentially brighten. Its just that DC didn't give a fuck and gave the series to unproven writers in the Finches instead of an actual capable writer. EDIT: You know I forgot to mention the biggest reason though why Azzarello's story turned out the way it did. It was originally supposed to be the the Earth One Wonder Woman book.

I have to ask what is people's problem with that twitter gif? It looks like an amped up version of the usual junior speedy/flippy chain with nothing particular of note move wise being done. it seems like a far cry from the superplex to suplex out of the ring gif feat. Davey Richards that shows up every other month.

I thought it was one of the top books of the New 52, but I doubt you need read it to understand Rucka's upcoming run.

My current list is pretty much just Detective Comics. The double shipping has turned me off from picking up more of the Bat side of things. Supergirl being turned into the show and Batman Beyond still being tied to the main continuity instead of just the DCAU is keeping form picking them up. I liked Azzarello's WW. I'm not really interested in something that will either tear it down or pretend it outright didn't exist. I'm curious about Titans and Nightwing, but feel it would be odd to try to jump on either w/o reading Titans Hunt or finishing off Grayson first. Some of this could change down the line, but for now I'm just sticking with Detective.

Honestly Felicity is fun. I generally like her, but the way she handled her relationship with Ollie this season was complete crap. Even when she was understandably angry she still managed to handle things in a bullshit manner that most people would have told her to fuck off for. As for the finale I thought it ok. but there really needs to be a change up in the writing next season. There needs to be less Thea and Merlyn. Ollie and Felicity should either never get together again or they need to make them act slightly more sane towards each other instead of the bs drama they did this season.

That is interesting. I'm guessing she was thinking more about real life for that second choice. I believe they are friends.

I see talk of women's tag titles, but I can't really see that happening with Team BAD dead, Brie retired, & Emma injured. Every team that existed is basically already gone.

Lavos wasn't so bad as long as you were on a decent level and not dumb enough to challenge him in the damn future where he was strongest. I still don't know how those giant versions somehow managed to develop fucking ninja skills in Honest Hearts. Regular cazadors didn't bother, but those motherfuckers...

I'm disappointed about Jack Flagg. I was hoping he and the other forgotten GoG from DnA's run were still in space.

Can't say I like this at all. I didn't love the original draft split even if it was fun on occasion. They just started to use their roster somewhat well post-mania.

Yeah I'm not sure how they are going to deal with that one.

It took way too long for me to realize I could store those damn cubes. I swear I tried to earlier but it didn't work for some reason initially. I would have been fine with only two or three, but five of them was way too damn much. I'm already someone who doesn't care for puzzles in general. I didn't need five of them that got continuously harder as I went on. It became both boring and annoying.

Whoever came up with the quest for DiMa's memories is a spiteful asshole and can completely go fuck himself. i think this is the first and only time the game has managed to frustrate me.

The four-way & main event were easily the highlights. Reigns and Styles were sort of insane for the crap they did to each other. Also Reigns' splash mountain was the most awesome thing ever and should be a new finisher for him.

Evacuation was definitely supposed be required for Gorillas. I wonder if they silently removed it in one of the updates because of the mass bitching people did.

I'm enjoying though I find the female lead to be irritating even if I understand her annoyances at times. The show has been surprisingly good. I particularly enjoyed the last episode for showing that the Walkure team actually do have skills beyond singing.

I'm interested in several things, but the bi-weekly plan is a bit of a turn-off (the batbooks) along with some of them being a general wait and see due to how bad they were before. And then there are books they probably could have got me to pick up had they not gone in stupid directions with like Batman Beyond or Supergirl.

Its response more to Didio screwing things up the last 5 or years with the New52. Johns didn't want it. Flashpoint was supposed to end with the post-Crisis universe intact and who knows what the hell Trinity War was suppose to be originally as that got changed dramatically due to the reboot as well. Just reading BC the last few years it seems like Didio forced much of the shitty changes with Johns losing power comics wise because they wanted him to focus on tv & films while Lee just seemed to go with the flow. When they finally talk a little about what Rebirth was Johns more or less made it obvious Didio asked him to fix all this shit for him.

Oh I disagree with none of this. I like Cody, but the only gimmick of his I think could have gone somewhat further than he already did was the Dashing gimmick which he ended way too soon. And even that one I think only could have been a good-great US/IC champ with the right push which wasn't likely to happen back then anyways. I even like the Stardust gimmick, but really he has hit his ceiling for what he can achieve right now in WWE.
