  1. Well, the ring is still badly broken.
  2. I do get why WWE did it but I literally started to get nauseous watching this (never saw the PPV) and turned it off as the mixed tag started. The obviously broken ring, the gruesome blood stain, and the tone of the announcers/wrestlers...it's just too much to be remotely comfortable with. Ghoulish and awful. If you just wanna watch the first two matches, it feels like Random Attitude Era PPV X. After? No. Just no.
  3. They weren't working with MLB last year.

    HOMELAND

She was asking for an unnamed star. They didnt exactly have to spell that out. If they out Brody, Iran is done.
  5. THANKS PHIL.How has nobody talked about every single Regal vs Psicosis match yet? Regal talks about them in his book, so you know they're good!
  6. For the six months or so before he started in ROH, I thought he WAS Davey Andrews.
  7. The Amazon deal for 1 year of PS+ for $30 also includes $5 of Amazon Instant Video credit.
  8. Yeah, I'll get right on that whole not buying things I was gonna buy anyway on a specific day so I can not save money thing right away.
  9. Other than the character development for everyone who's not Lara, what's wrong w/ Tomb Raider?
  10. Amazon actually has a listing of their "exclusive" shows not on Netflix: http://www.amazon.com/b?node=6938769011 Here are some of the better ones, both from skimming that list and memory (some shows, I guess those not under actual exclusive deals, aren't listed under exclusives): The Shield NYPD Blue (and the last 4 seasons in HD) Degrassi Downton Abbey Justified Covert Affairs Kids in the Hall thirtysomething (In HD?!?!)
  11. The Last of Us definitely lost some of its luster to me when I replayed it to do the New Game +, but I still love the online multiplayer, though it's frustrating if you're not all mic'd up (mics should be mandatory). I'd have to play Tomb Raider again to say it's definitively better. Most disappointing thing about The Last of Us was that the stuff they used to demo the AI, like taking hostages or Ellie helping you out, wasn't especially good in the game. Assassins Creed IV is also excellent, though I haven't finished it yet. Splinter Cell: Blacklist is probably at a level below the top tier, with a terribly shallow story, but it's a really cleverly designed stealth game and the "choose your own play style" aspect is handled better than in The Last of Us. Haven't played Beyond: Two Souls, GTAV, or Arkham Origins yet. Getting all 3 in holiday sales, though. Not really interested in Ni No Kuni as I've never been a big fan of JRPGs. For the purposes of something like this I guess A Wolf Among Us counts as a 2014 game? Overall, definitely a better year than 2012 where The Walking Dead and Sleeping Dogs were #1 & #2 by default.
  12. Lots of deals are live, including the PS3 BF bundle at Amazon, Best Buy, and probably other places.
  13. Apparently it's like 160 pages and semi kayfabed so you might as well get his Highspots shoot interview which is something like $10 to download.
  14. I've had zero issues with my PS4 so far. Just the PSN stuff and obviously that's not on my end, plus it's improved over the last few hours. The EA games are running on a new engine, at least for physics.
  15. Yes, as long as you maintain your PS+ subscription. You can also initiate a download and cancel it to do the same thing without even downloading the game. The game shows as purchased and can be downloaded/played as long as you're subscribed to PS+. I make sure to do it for everything just in case I want to try it eventually, or if I get a Vita down the line, etc.
  16. The Black Friday console bundles are usually pretty plentiful from a variety of different retailers, both online and B&M, including most major chains, plus NewEgg and Amazon. BTW: For any Black Friday deal that doesn't have a unique SKU (meaning no Black Friday console bundles), Discover's price protection is valid. They're the only credit card company whose price protection covers doorbusters/limited quantity Black Friday deals (Chase and others will match non-doorbusters). Got two 50" TVs for $300 each that way last year.
  17. Got AC4 because of the PS4 upgrade deal. Major return to form after last year being such a chore and I haven't even gotten that far yet. Plays much more like the Ezio trilogy but with some of the new stuff from AC3 added. Can't wait to dig in more.
  18. Definitely getting DMC Devil May cry in the sale. Will try the demo of Siren and go from there.
  19. And here I was about to jump in this thread to kvetch about the lack of substantive reviews.I presume are you kidding, because that review is anything but substantive. :-) It criticizes all of the ongoing problems in the series. The other reviews don't.

  21. And to be clear, that's AMD's most recent netbook/net top APU. Way too many PC manufacturers have been throwing them into towers (and even using notebook power supplies with them) without making it remotely clear what they are to the average consumer that doesn't know what they are. You can actually game pretty well with some fairly cheap CPUs nowadays, but those are just too slow.
  22. It's not even a suitable CPU for gaming. Or even a suitable socket, but I'm not sure about that.
  23. Real house show. Not a phantom switch. Only GWF show outside of the Sportatorium I think.
  24. Got my Chromecast today from BestBuy.com. For effectively $11 + tax with the Netflix coupon, it's pretty awesome if just for flinging YouTube videos from a phone/tablet to the TV. Netflix experience is pretty nice, too. Don't have any Android devices so I couldn't try Google Play, though. Screen sharing is about what you'd expect: I know other devices support the YouTube features, which are the best part, but again, it's $11. With the Roku LT being $50 retail and $40 at Amazon, Chromecast without 3 free months of Netflix feels a overpriced for the feature set, though. Thankfully didn't need to use the wall wart because my TV has a USB port that I'm pretty sure is there specifically to power low-power devices like that and the Ceton Echo (no photo/video viewing features built in to the TV). Haven't tried it with an MHL capable receiver yet. Does anyone know if it supports that or do you need USB power no matter what? No MHL would be oddly counterintuitive unless it's weirdly expensive to implement.
  25. I think the story here is that someone recognized Darren Young D-Young being gay does fit into the whole "Bizarro Cena" thing. He needs a boyfriend who is half of a twin team...Don't give Jey Uso any ideas.
