  1. Hill got credited as a producer on Psych for six or so years of the run. I'm kind of assuming that netted him a large share of whatever syndication/international rights/rerun money there was. Otherwise, yeah, Janney and Moss by a walk. And they've probably gotten the best pick of roles of anyone in the cast, post-West Wing. Once saw an interview with Janney (years ago now, before Mom but after West Wing) where she told a story about how her first casting agent advised her to give up acting. The agent told her that she was too tall and would mostly only be cast as a Klingon.
  2. Yeah, it was Daniel's under the robe in the vignettes with Vamp. Hilariously, CD claims dying his hair for the angle was what caused it to fall out and led to him shaving his head. Supposedly, Daniels was also pitched as being revealed as the Higher Power in the WWE angle, but Vince thought he was too small.
  3. empty arena UFC is giving me some hope that empty arena team sports may be tolerable for a short while. Empty arena wrestling doesn't work for me either. Which is odd, considering IWA-MS was fairly tolerable in the mid-00's with ten or 20 people in the seats (and Joe, Punk, and AJ in the ring). And, when I lived in California, I attended a lot of small indy shows with fewer people in the bldg. than IWA-MS.
  4. CBS announced a couple new shows for fall(-ish). They're rebooting The Equalizer with Queen Latifah playing the lead. I swear I'm not making this up. At least the supporting cast looks solid. They also announced the long-rumored Silence of the Lambs spinoff (Clarice). Clarice Starling is being played by an actress from Pretty Little Liars who I am completely unfamiliar with. https://variety.com/2020/tv/news/cbs-equalizer-reboot-clarice-starling-series-chuck-lorre-b-positive-2020-2021-season-1234601901/ I feel like you could make a case for Dulé Hill, depending on your criteria. Doesn't get critically-acclaimed roles like Moss, but has worked an awful lot since 2006 and possibly made more money than Janney or Moss. Been cast in three series (eight years of Psych; Doubt, a legal drama that only lasted one season; last two seasons of Suits). Got a producer credit for Psych. Really, though, virtually everyone who was a regular/semi-regular on the show has had a long career and worked steadily since Wing ended. Looking at cast lists, the only name that jumped out at me as not working a lot was Janel Moloney (Donna), though Wiki says she had a regular role on the Leftovers.
  5. Physical or digital? You can get a physical copy for $20 from most chain stores (Amazon, Best Buy, Gamestop, etc.)
  6. He’s lucky he wasn’t among the 95% of the population who would be happy about being cut in half.
  7. AMC has started rerunning early seasons of Line of Duty, the BBC police drama. Season two starts this Saturday. I'm stoked. Always heard great things about the show but never watched it till now. Season one was uneven, imo, but convinced me there was a great show in there. Season one hooked me, but then lost me a bit with a plot pivot. I felt like I knew where the show was going after a couple eps in, then a twist at the end of an ep send the plot in a different direction/ First half of season one was more like Law and Order or NYPD Blue. Second half was more like 24. Still... high hopes for season 2.
  8. Speaking of DC animated, I watched the animated adaptation of Dark Knight Returns and loved both parts. Actually thought that they made the battle with the mutants leader more involving than the comic. I've probably watched 15-ish of the DC Animated movies and DKR was the first one that really impressed me. Will probably watch a couple of the Justice League films since Apokolips War comes out later this month.
  9. Thanks. That makes some sense. I've never read the Palmiotti/Conner series, but I know it exists and a comedy/babyface approach probably fits those two (and the animated series) more than a grim and gritty take. Babyfacing Harley made sense in the context of the story the show told, but I kind preferred sympathetic heel Harley in the first two eps. The first couple eps had ad edgy, over-the-top feel (Harley using the f-word a lot in the pilot, Harley biting the ear off a prison guard, Harley beating the crap out of Joker's goons with a bat - and blowing up the rest with Joker bombs) that the rest of the series lost. Plot-wise, the last seven or eight episodes could have been written for most any DC hero.
  10. First I'll have to ask DZ what Cameo is. I'm old....
  11. Speaking of which, Jim Ross found his way into my Twitter feed today. He was basically trying to promote Sunny's Onlyfans account. I have no idea what Onlyfans is, but the board has given me the impression it's some sort of softcore porn site. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Yeah.... this is the first time good 'ole JR has found his way into my social media. Hopefully, it's the last. Didn't really do much to dispel my vague suspicion that there's something creepy about JR (though, to be fair, I kinda think that about most people who have been around Vince long term.
  12. I always figured twin gimmicks work in wrestling because unless you're looking closely and paying attention, you can't tell them apart. On tv, you can probably tell that the Harris twins have different tats. I doubt you can probably tell from your seat in the arena, even if you're looking at a 1990' s jumbo monitor. I've never paid enough attention to the Harris' to notice they have different tats. Though, if we're being honest, I still can't tell the Usos apart. Or tell you anything about Jimmy and Jey. Which one is currently hurt? Not sure. Which one keeps getting arrested for drinking and driving? Um... both? Which one is married to Naomi? Um.... both? In my defense, i usually answer email or shop on eBay while I watch this stuff. I'm big on multitasking.
  13. They should follow it with a two-hour ep of Baseball Tonight.
  14. Wife suggested watching this tonight so I only have until this afternoon to make up my mind that this movie is terrible.
  15. Finished Harley Quinn this morning. Liked it a lot, but didn't love it. Not sure how I feel about Harley becoming a babyface? Is that how she's portrayed in the comics? I read comics occasionally but I haven't read Harley or Suicide Squad since they brought her into the DC proper and gave the character model an edgy makeover. I liked the first two eps. a lot, when Harley is very much a loose cannon. After that, they tone her down a bit as she becomes a more conventional babyface. Seems like the violence and language were toned down a bit as the show went. Still, a lot to like. Show was breezy, enjoyable, and had a lot of standout bits. I was kinda meh towards her crew. I'd be down with a new crew consisting of Queen of Fables, Commissioner Gordon, and Bane. Meloni killed it voicing Gordon. Some great throwaway scenes. The deal with Aquaman breaking the LOD's aquarium was hilarious from start to finish. The puffer fish telepathically mouthing the words "oh shit" right before the tank cracked still makes me laugh. Using the sound effect from the Super Friends cartoon put it over the top.
  16. Apparently Flash completed 19 episodes. Ep. 18 airs this week.
  17. Realized a few days ago that I've somehow never seen FLCL. Like, I don't even remember seeing five minutes of a single episode. Bought the entire series (original and reboot), so I may get to this weekend. Also want to get to Promised Neverland soon and I'm in 26 eps in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure (prob. start Stardust Crusaders today).
  18. The "cinematic approach" to the MitB matches move this show from "disinterested in empty arena shows" to "avoid like the (coronavirus) plague" in my book.
  19. Everyone is Mr. Electricity when they have that much cocaine in the system.
  20. Are DC's animated Justice League movies supposed to be watched in any particular order? Apokolips War comes out later this month, and the press blurb mention it being the culmination of 14 JL movies (or something like that). But as far as I can tell the movies are self-contained so it doesn't seem like it matters what order I watch them in, or if I even watch them all before watching Apololips War. Thoughts?
  21. I can't imagine casual fans watching empty arena shows and staying interested enough to check out the product when shows with fans return. RAW did it's lowest rating ever and the WWE programming FS1 is running on Tuesday nights struggles to make the top 150 shows for the evening (I had no idea that was a thing). Lol, maybe the networks should pay Vince not to run.
  22. Eh, it wa being developed by David E. Kelley and had a cast of names people might not recognize. Kelley was a big name in the late 90's when Ally McBeal and the Practice were on the air, but since 2005 he's mostly been associated with a string of failures and pilots that didn't get picked up. Do you remember The Wedding Bells? The Crazy Ones? Monday Mornings or Harry's Law? He is responsible for Big Little Lies and has a couple shows still going (I think) on streaming services? Is Goliath still ongoing (though i think Kelley left the show after season 1)? None of the names announced as casting were noteworthy. Kiele Sanchez was the only one I recognized and that's basically from watching a season or two of the Glades.
  23. I kinda understand Vince not wanting to mention Roman's name too heavily since there's no way to know when or if he'll be back,, but the way they're going out of their way not to mention him makes me think there is more to it. I assume Vince doesn't want to remind people that his biggest star (?) is choosing to sit out during the pandemic, which would invite mainstream media to start wondering if WWE should be taping shows. On the other hand, it's Vince so it could easily be something petty like not wanting to portray one of his top stars as vulnerable and less than superhuman, or simply mad that Roman isn't putting the company first. I wouldn't be surprised if Vince at least somewhat feels Roman should ignore the health risk and try to put the company on his back during this difficult time. Have AOP been seen since the empty arena shows started?
  24. You have more willpower than I do. I kinda want boycott LRS and the like, but.... games I want to play. Honestly, I'm into gaming a lot less than I was three months ago. Not sure I have much interest in spending much money on games right now. I'm kinda assuming I'll pick up the indie titles I'm missing off eBay when people actually have them in hand (and probably pay a substantial markup), but that may not happen.
