  1. I loved the pick up and throw mechanics. Mighty Final Fight (NES, also on Gba and 3DS) This game came out when the NES era was nearly soon done. It's somewhat of a port but yet a new game compared to it's Arcade parent it's based on. The game features cute chibi sprites and impressive backgrounds. It's bit more surrealistic in style and the story is too. Belger (who's now a cyborg) wants Jessica out of love instead for example. Unlike the SNES Final Fight version you can choose all 3 main characters. With special weapons too. (Gamers had to go to blockbuster and get the other SNES version to play as Guy.) Poison is in and uncensored in Mighty Final Fight, she was replaced with dudes for the SNES. The progress system or levelling up system makes your character faster, stronger, more health etc. And it allows you to learn new special moves, so there's a sense of becoming a better fighter with this game. (Double Dragon NES has something similar.) It's a very good NES beat them up, right up there with Double Dragon 2 NES and River City Ransom and Battletoads.
  2. Harold Meiji will continue to push NJPW in the west until sales improve. Still they need better and more TV. The more western flavor is intended to attract western fans not into puroresu.
  3. Wrestle 1, seeing how Cima is there nowadays. If he goes to NJPW he might just be in the Junior division.
  4. I've read the FirePro world interview written for Tokyo Sports...they want to add more story and might collaborate with other feds to put in the game. If I'm translating it right.
  5. Zeus retained. 30 min match. Promised to have a long reign. Yuma and Nomura retain their Asia Tag belts. But Omori wants another shot with someone else. Aoki dropped the Junior belt to Iwamoto. Hino beat Kento.
  6. Doki Doki Panic/ Super Mario Bros 2/ Prototype Super Mario Bros 2/Super Mario Bros USA/ I tried them all over the years. Doki Doki is probably badly balanced, with the Mousers taking 6 hits to kill while Wart or Mamu took 4. And you can only get the true ending if you use all 4 characters to beat everything. Anyway, I replayed and finished SMB2 today. Better game play elements added in like the run button and the boss ClawGrip and better hit balance for certain bosses. The better animations and sounds improve the game visuals that were lacking in Doki Doki Panic. The prototype SMB2 is in the middle of things, as in a transition to the final product. 4 hits to kill Wart and no run button. Might move on to Sweet Home again or Mighty Final Fight or whatever. Ghosts 'n Goblins perhaps? Seeing how I have the game on Nes mini and I own the arcade version, might compare.
  7. Ongoing is possible but no real news about that option yet.
  8. Well it's just his thing. Zeus loves old AJPW. He mentioned the same thing while facing Kento for the belt for the first time years ago. While Kento prefers to use the Pro-westling label over the Royal Road label and only cares about the future. The company itself only uses the term Royal Road for the tournament and few wrestlers. Really another ideology war similar to Nakamura Strong Style vs Tanahashi Showman Style. Plus he has actual royalty bloodline. So they decided to work that in for some reason.
  9. They're being reinserted in and ignorging nu52 versions partially. https://www.dccomics.com/blog/2018/08/22/heroes-in-crisis-1-variant-covers-by-jones-brooks-mattina-and-sook
  10. Looks like Wonder Woman snapping Maxwell Lords neck and her old costume are back in. And the Oval Batman look. Still, the brother eye parts and Ted dying in Infinte Crisis might never happened at all. Nor did Jean replacing Batman.
  11. WWF might have most likely died without the attitude era. (Very sure their financials was bad) But WCW probably might have been spared of pure Russso. ECW probably might have tapped into the zeitgeist of the times (market) even more so without the WWF around. Anyway the current wrestling industry is already a niche market.
  12. Well the PS 1 lacked the z-buffer and perspective correction. Stuff would look warped (textures or rooms etc). And calculations being done using integers instead of floating point values. Causing wobbly polygons. And no Anti-aliasing made PS1 games look jaggy. Anyway most of the games from PS1 era have already been ported or remade to PC, Dreamcast, GameCube etc with better results.
  13. Cleared these today. Been a long tine I replayed them.
  14. Zeus said he will be the champion of the new Royal Road in essence.
  15. Not sure but Psylocke seems to have reverted back to being British cacuasian. Old man Logan is gone too.
  16. I didn't expect them to sell out the budokan for that show. Might be more likely to sell out the finals, which most people buy tickets for.
