    Alright, I think I'm going to try some online for the first time tonight. I'm BurroOul on the PS3. I should be on around 8-9 Central and I have a headset if anyone wants to get up to some shenanigans/brutally murder me.

    Watched Bucks/Wolves last night, which was apparently played in a high school gym. I was skeptical about the Giannis pick, but I think he might be able to contribute this season. Dude is an absolute physical freak. He had a couple of chasedown blocks that were incredible. Seemed to have a good instinct for getting after rebounds, too. He's still not very good at basketball in general, but he'll be a useful wildcard off the bench and has some potential as a wing stopper on a team that badly, badly needs one. Henson looked good, too. For a young guy he's got lots of sneaky little moves in the post. Wolters seems like he'll be a perfectly competent backup PG and Ridnour was shockingly spry. This still won't be a good team, but they'll be fun to watch. I'm crushed that V-Rad's retirement has gotten nary a mention in this thread. You all disappoint me.

    I finally beat the story last night. I ended up at around 40 hours and that was with skipping most of the side-missions and not doing property missions, races, etc. Some end of game thoughts: All in all I'd call it the best GTA in a walk. The highest compliment I can pay is that as soon as I finished it I wanted to play it again. I guess it's time to dive into GTA:O, although that might not happen until I get my PS3 back to my house.

    Yeah, gonna have to disagree with you on that one... So who do you find funny? I understand not liking their comedy, but I find it a little facetious to deny their talent. Can you name two women who have been funnier over the last 5-10 years or so? So, you are saying they are kinda defaulted into the slots of the funniest women? Fey didn't catch on until Sarah Palin came around and Poehler is at least 5 kinds of annoying. Buh? Fey had already spent 7 years as head writer of SNL, written Mean Girls, and won two Emmys for 30 Rock by the time Sarah Palin came around. I'd say she had caught on just fine. I would have been fine with South Park ending six or so years ago before it just became Matt & Trey "tellin' it like it is."

    I'm guessing the Sixers told him "You know what? No hurry coming back from that knee injury. Can I get you another slice of pie?" Pretty stoked that the guys from The Basketball Jones got a deal with NBA TV. They'll still be doing the daily podcast plus an hour show on the network.

    Yup, that was incredibly satisfying on every level. I did not expect them to nail it that completely. Much like Jack, I need a cigarette.

    It took me weeks of trying to finish SA's the first time. Although oddly enough when I replayed the game I blew threw it on the first try. I made a choice that forces me to take Michael through flight school and the helicopter controls are so fucking janky that I can't make it through the first course in time. I reeeally don't want to go back to a previous save so I'll keep banging my head against it for a while.

    I joined the crew. PSN is Burro Oul. I probably won't be touching GTAO much but I'll be curious to see what kind of shenanigans you crazy kids get up to. I'm finding Flight School to be just as infuriating in this game as it was in San Andreas.

    GTA Online won't be up until 10/1 like FSW said and there will most certainly be a DVDVR crew on 360 even if we have to starve our families to afford a copy.Our first bank job is sooooo going to be like the one in Heat. I am stoked!Like Heat, but if every character is Waingro.

    Fuck the homicidal maniac shit dude, let's just sit in our car, watch the sunset, and listen to the radio. My girlfriend, who has never seen a GTA game before, has been watching me play and often chides me for being so boring. So I end up saying things like "I will go kill those guys when this goddamn Bob Seger song is over" a lot more than I ever thought I would.

    I don't know what it is, but I am absolute dogshit at driving in this game, especially with sports cars. I am running into everything even with Franklin's special skill. Still loving it, though.

    I have a Steam key for Crusader Kings 2 burning a hole in my account that I gotta get rid of. First person to DM me gets it, so long as you agree to 1) Actually play it and 2) Tell us about the misfortunes you get into. That went fast. I also have a key for Europa Universalis 3, which is good if far less entertaining than CK2. Claimed!

    32. So far my thirties are kicking the shit out of my twenties. I'm know more and have more money than I did then. That's a fair trade for sore knees and less hair. I've been here for at least 13 years, so about 40% of my total life. Jesus.

    I am also too old for a midnight anything or to spend my precious vacation days on the video games. Buuuut, the GTA V release happens to coincide with my girlfriend being laid up for 4-6 weeks recovering from surgery, so I have a decent excuse for spending my non-working time playing at her house.

    Yeah, I ended up vastly preferring the console version of Torchlight to playing with mouse and keyboard, so I'll probably give Diablo 3 a try on PS3 once the price drops. Using sticks and buttons felt more visceral somehow than then endless clickclickclickclick. I'm being gifted a 40" HDTV just in time for GTAV and (later) basketball season. It's a happy damn day in the Zimbra household.

    Bah, didn't even think about that. Added a warning. I'm staying away from story spoilers, but I'm wicked curious about the mechanical changes they've made. Everything I've heard points in the direction of them making it a more varied and (most importantly) more fun experience than IV.
