Oh god, I had forgotten how far off the rails My Name is Earl goes after the second season. I don't mind the prison stuff, but everything with Alyssa Milano is really bad.

It's pretty good, gameplay-wise, although it's held back by some wonky controls and a refusal to explain some of its complex systems. What it does do better than any game of it's ilk is in giving you a problem, a big box of tools, and letting you adapt your own solution. The story is, like all Metal Gears, hot nonsense but they at least tuck most of it away in tapes that you can ignore. I'm also an idiot, so hit me up if you want to play sometime. Everyone else I know who has it is already level ridiculous and I don't want to stand around while they kill everything. BurroOul is my PSN name.

I love the weight and the ambiguity of the choices you make. It really blows away everything Bioware has done in that regard. There's a really great sense of place in the setting, too. I just wish the actual gameplay was more enjoyable. I'm not really feeling the combat at all, although the animations are nice.

I work in a plant that makes APIs and had to sit through GMP document training today even though I don't create, handle, or review GMP documents in my position. Pharma documentation is so mind-numbing.

And it's funny because I think you can definitely argue that TNC doesn't always thread the needle between academic and popular writing and that he could stand to have his pieces tightened up a bit. But for it to be Jason Whitlock, one of the shittiest prose stylists, and for him to come at it that way will get him half a bar every time.

The screen sucks up a ton of power. I find that turning down the brightness even a bit nets me a pretty large increase in battery life.
