  1. Maybe his true colors came shining through?
  2. JT!!! BLR!!!! C'mon, C'mon RIIIIISSSEEE UUUPPPPP!!!!!
  3. Or the screenwriters had just seen Wag the Dog. Which, if you're a screenwriter, is never a bad idea. This deserves all the likes. You heard?
  4. True story though. So "Sports Cliche 101" or not, it works. True story filtered through Sports Cliche 101. What you get is a good movie, not a historical transcription.
  5. Eagerly awaiting this as I have a long weekend. I've gone from Critters 2 to Q: The Winged Serpent, so it feels like I'm rising up the card.
  6. It's decent enough but not in the class of the others already mentioned. It does get big bonus points for naked Cynthia Gibb though. Hockey movies don't have a Chariots of Fire in their midst. so pretending like their is such a thing as a classier hockey movie is silly. Slap Shot is Bad News Bears for ( or more obviously for) adults. Miracle is Sports Cliche 101. We are united in naked Cynthia Gibb.
  7. What? No love for Youngblood??!! For shame!
  8. About a year and a half ago, for financial reasons, I sold my car and, for health reasons, I started riding a bike to work. Because I live in close proximity to my gym, two grocery stores and an international market, a movie theater and my favorite sushi place, I have been good with it. Riding the 6 miles to work and back on the mean streets of Las Vegas can be quite the adventure. But a recent trip to Portland, in which I missed my flight, had to catch another to Seattle and rent a car for the 179 mile trip to Portland, stirred those old feelings of love for driving. Plus, in Vegas, no car = no love life and I'm ready to get back to one of those as well.
  9. Damn, I wish I had spent more of my life chasing smoking-hot, batshit crazy women with train-wreck charisma. I'd have been a much happier fella.
  10. Ray Walston was the best thing about that show, easily.
  11. Wasn't talking about her upper body development. Not that there is anything wrong with that.
  12. Christina Ricci is A list in my book!
  13. Man, don't ruin my memories of Rae Dawn Chong.
  14. I skimmed through last years thread, but do you have a master list of the films that have been covered over the years?
  15. Moonraker. Still one of my favorite Bond films for Lois Chiles outfits and the fantastic Bond vs Jaws aerial battle.
  16. Personally, I love hacky Pacino. I love Pacino doing Shakespeare. Sea of Love, Donnie Brasco, Devil's Advocate? What is not to love? He is one of those balls out performers that can make pretty much anything watchable.
  17. So 26 votes cast in the last round and 25 so far in the final. One more vote out there with Odessa possibly breaking the tie? The suspense is killing me.
  18. That is an opinion a lot of people hold. As far as that parody list, I love a lot of them, but Life of Brian is at a different level.
  19. Confession time. I was actually one of those people that sent a letter to Warner Bros. bemoaning the casting of Michael Keaton. Oh when we are young and think we can make a difference!
  20. Out of likes but giving you one in my thoughts.
  21. Ding ding ding. I remember walking out of the theater in '89 going "Really? THAT was what everyone talked up so much?" I thought it was very, very mediocre - at best. I remember walking out of the theater in '89 with a deep feeling of relief( like I left the front door of my apartment open and my cat, who has never ventured into the outside world might have escaped, only to find my cat curled up on the couch looking at me like I'm some kind of idiot). '89 Batman rules.
