Why being shocked? There are a couple of sports where I am personally abolutely certain that there is hardly any way of being competitive on world class level without doing some kind of doping and track & field is on that list. Or at least many disciplines. There are some technicals events I would exclude, like high jumping, pole vault, triple jump or discuss throwing. I am not sure about decathlon / heptathlon as I would assume that doing certain PEDs might actually hurt in certain disciplines (e.g. roiding up for 100 m or shot put will hurt in pole vault or 1500 m). Anyway the Russian PED bubble is hardly the first of its kind, thinking about the reports of doping in GDR that came out in the mid 90ies, BALCO, some stuff I saw about Kenyan long distance runners etc.

Don't you have the same problem with absolute zero as well? According to Heisenberg's uncertainty principle if you know the exact momentum of a molecule / atom / ... (which you would since absolute zero would indicate a momentum of zero) the location of the particle could by anywhere (or in mathematical terms delta x = inf since delta p = 0 and delta p * delta x >= h/2; though of course inf * 0 could be anything).

You are correct. I really liked the first season and two episodes into the second season I am ready to quit.

If a doctor had looked at Cormier between rounds 3 and 4 he probably would have stopped the fight. Cormier's look was completely glassy, he probably had no idea where he was or what year it was.

And yet the judges still scored two rounds for Nelson. Also, is there any reason why Hirota/Ishihara didn't get their fourth round? The officials forgot just like the last time they should have done a fourth round (DJ vs. McCall I). The UFC had their third string crew in Japan so there wasn't anyone there to remind them. Wasn't the problem with Mighty Mouse vs. McCall that they someone screwed up calculating the scores and they announced DJ as the winner even though it was a draw and when they found out about the error backstage when it was too late for them to get back for a fourth round?

Has anyone here seen the season premiere of How to Get Away with Murder? I thought that was an A+ effort in shark jumping.

"My" Austrians are also quite close to seal the deal. With 3 games to play (including a home game against Liechtenstein (in addition to away games against Sweden and Montenegro)) only one point is missing to qualify.

Solid? There were some awesome moments here: "It is true, Zaman is insane. He's planning to launch another missile on Israel. I keep telling him that our goal is not to obliterate Israel. It looked kind of cool and the actors were good but the material was terrible. That's probably more to the point then my rambling attempt. That variation of the theme song posted above is great.

I updated yesterday and so far had hardly any problems (choosing the option to not take over any data or programs might have helped). The only thing that did not work at first was sending mails via Outlook, which seems to be a common problem, but I quickly found a solution for that (solving the Outlook issue, not installing Thunderbird or something like that ). Browser wise so far I have sticked to Firefox, only played a minute or so with Edge.

So I watched the second half of the season over the last couple of days. To sum it up: art's wise (cinematography, music, design etc.) I would consider it as a full success, acting also was pretty good. However, as everybody here seems to think as well, the writing was so bad, both on a macro-level as well as on the micro-level (to me it seemed that they really tried to see who could write the worst monologue for Vaughn).

I have no problem with switching my brains off for comic movies or TV and can deal with the pseudo-science as well ("hydrogen proton") but for this episode it would probably have been better to amputate my brain and bury it 6 feet under. "We could destroy the whole world for the off-change of saving one life." - yeah, great perspective, heroes (disregarding any potential paradoxes or causal loops).
