  1. How about a double-countout or double KO? Yeah, but it would be a fun tease in the meantime.
  2. I know that WWE has gotten better but to me it's a very hard choice between Claudio-Lard Lad and Mox-Lionheart.
  3. and by do better, he's thinking sell more tickets and PPV buys.
  4. I'll add one addendum: The WHOLE company gets one a month, and Emi also gets one a month that doesn't count against the company total.
  5. Something about being older and having to reel it in some, rely more on stories and selling and gimmicks, but still having the ability and muscle memory to pull out some surprises. And for all our griping, he’s laid down clean for Mox and Eddie and let Yuta go toe to toe.
  6. I didn’t hate the middle of the show but it did have a lot of short vignettes and a couple of shortish matches. I like what they tried to do with Jade-Rayne and they were really close to having a really good match. Brody King isn’t going to be allowed to donate blood for months after the amount of plasma he spilled. No true spurts, just a constant wave of blood pouring down his face and onto the floor for most of the match. He had a lot of thumbtacks stuck in him too, while Darby just had random cuts and scratches everywhere. A little overbooked but a fun ending, and I’m glad I got to enjoy another Darby match where he didn’t die or get paralyzed. Tornado match had some fun moments, probably the most I’ve liked Penta’s work in a match. Rush and Andrade are fantastic bases for the high flying moves. That said, I wanted a true tornado where you come in when your partner leaves/is thrown from the ring, not a free-for-all. Jungle Boy needs to watch out, they’re leaning towards a Garcia-Anna thing and we all know how wrestling love angles go... Main event was quintessential professional wrestling: a great story told by the wrestlers in tandem with the announcers, blood, a slow, steady build, believable near falls, selling, things that looked hurty, guys busting out desperation moves, heel shenanigans backfiring (kind of think Jericho went hardway at the end), and the whole time a sense of not knowing who was going to win until it was done. I was actually almost in tears (but it’s also been a hard couple of weeks so I’m prone to strong emotional reactions). I was expecting it to be Danielson so when Punk’s music hit my jaw totally dropped and I marked hard. Good lord that pop was deafening. And then the stare down. PPV sold on that image alone.
  7. Bunny could almost be a Targaryen, use her.
  8. You forgot finding a way to force "Cut the shit Tony" in.
  9. I think Red Velvet getting injured threw the Baddies angle off track and it's devolved to the stereotype. They were getting cool heel heat and working as a unit. They were catty towards other women but not each other. It alsoi allowed them to build opponents for Jade by having them have to fight Hogan and Red first, while she/MMS/Stoke "hand-picked" tomato cans. That said, she's improving a ton in the ring but Jade isn't good enough on the mic yet to go without a mouthpiece. She's becoming a very stale catchphrase spouting machine to the point you'd think she was trained by the competition.
  10. And the crowd can be pretty...listless...for women's matches at the Orlando tapings.
  11. You're being generous with 1988, Piper was pretty insufferable in retrospect through most of his WWF run, but let's say after WM1. And oof, his 90s WCW time was almost as bad as Warrior's.
  12. I can’t say I enjoyed everything the way that Dean did, but I totally agree that I now want to see a Ruby Soho-Serena Deeb match, they worked really well together. Best match was women’s trio (which isn’t that uncommon for YT shows). I can’t wait to see Athena have a longer, more competitive singles match; she did a spinning back kick that doubled Bates over and shoved her about 5 feet backward. Plus the true shotgun dropkick (one of my favorite things in Joshi). It was obvious Bates was there to eat the pin but she got a fair amount in. Second was the main. Orange Cassidy is on such a roll right now, and Anthony Henry was up to the challenge as well. JD Drake selling the beating from earlier was awesome and old school, Corny would approve. Speaking of, Drake and PPA vs the DO bigs was also very good. Wingmen Industries, Inc., UP are my fave YouTube faction and I do hope if they have dedicated ROH that Workhorsemen get some airtime and a shot at the tag belts. I liked TrustBusters more than I would have thought, and if it gives us more Sonny Kiss then I’m good with it. Sonny is very good, so athletic but also capable of being stiff. The rest was really squashy and there. Anna JAS needs to stop the teeth-clench mean thing, it looks so dumb.
  13. Him and fucking Adam Cole. One of the worst remnants of almost 2 decades from WWE exclusivity is the super long entrance sing-along song, especially for a heel.
  14. Every time I see/hear one of these while I’m out in the field, my blood runs cold and then I spend about 30 minutes trying to work through the adrenaline.
  15. But I mean they are. Wardlow has basically taken Miro’s spot, and if it came down to it you keep Wardlow. Brody King is actually looking to be the breakout star from HoB and long-term won’t really need that faction if Malakai decides to leave. They’ve never really found anything for Andrade so how could losing him really hurt? I like all those guys (but not Black’s gimmick) but if they went back to WWE I just don’t think much would change storyline or viewership wise. Losing someone like Ricky Starks would hurt. Adam Page would hurt. Jade Cargill would hurt. FTR would hurt.
  16. We're about to start seeing guys test Tony's willingness to give unhappy wrestlers their releases.
  17. Miro getting hurt right when he was being pushed towards a belt was bad luck for him. He did get somewhat lost in the shuffle once he was better.
  18. The change in leadership at WWE is going to have a lot of guys saying things to try and get pushes/raises. And I'm sure there are lots of third-party conversations going on trying to stir or elevate some dissension/unhappiness.
  19. Hell, we can even throw in Ethan Page!
  20. The definition of someone failing upward, based on an unearned reputation. Did he even have to interview for AZ? They heard QB whisperer who worked with Kyler, Mahomes, Mayfield, and Manziel. His actual record at Tech with Mayfield and Mahomes? 35-40.
