  1. Was not expecting Great O-Kahn to ever pop up in Phil's column. Need to check that match out.
  2. A couple weeks ago, my knee buckled a bit on deadlifts. It was weird because it was on the down motion when I'm setting the weight back down. I took it easy for a couple days, and got back to lifting normally. I even hit a PR in my squat after that. Well, Monday, on my squats, it started happening again. It only happens on the way down. Coming up is fine. There's a twinge of pain when it happens, but no lingering pain. It just feels like something is wrong in there. And this time, it's not going away. It still feels weird two days later. I've got a doctor's appointment scheduled for Apr 12. I'm pretty bummed to have to put my squat and deadlift on hold for a while. I was progressing nicely on them. I think I've figured out a way to keep working out in the meantime without risking any more damage. Damn old body.
  3. It's fun to watch with him because he's coming in cold on everything. He has no pre-conceived idea of what should happen, so it's just pure reaction from him. He loves Penta and Fenix. Those are his guys. He's most excited for them. He's getting to know most of the roster, and who they're feuding with, so he knows that like MJF and Punk being out at the same time could lead to some action. He does not like CM Punk. I asked why, and he just said, "I don't have to like all of the good guys." Fair enough. This is reminding me that I need to get off my ass and order some AEW action figures for his birthday. He wants Lucha Brothers and Jurassic Express to be their opponents. Oh, I should mention that his favorite moment so far was Keith Lee tossing Isaih Cassidy. He talked about that for weeks.
  4. I do miss the days of the NBA having "goons".
  5. My son has really gotten into watching AEW every week (his other favorite wrestling is old Andre matches on Youtube). He likes me to show him what's coming up on the show on Wednesday morning. I showed him this match, and he said, "Oh, they're gonna beat those guys up real bad."
  6. It is! My wife was wanting me to see if the library had it, and I probably had to ask her for the title like 10 times.
  7. Based on your current username and your old one, I can say that you are very very good at coming up with usernames.
  8. All this tag team talk got me thinking. There hasn’t been a tag team break up in AEW yet, has there? I mean like Omega and Hangman just decided to stop teaming before they feuded, so not really a break up. I mean, we haven’t anyone turn on their regular partner yet, have we?
  9. Wasn't the book really popular? I seem to remember my wife buying it because the wait at the library was so long.
  10. Neidhart and Butch Reed had a really good team. As a kid, I like Anvil way better than Bret. That changed later, of course, but Neidhart was the one who jumped out at me first.
  11. Man, I used to wish that he and Stockton had at least won one ring in between Bulls championships, but they're both proving to be grade-A shitheads.
  12. This is the second time this week I've heard someone call Malone a horrible person. Some light digging shows me that he fathered children that he abandoned. Is there more than that? Not saying that's not bad enough to warrant your comment, I'm just wondering if there's more.
  13. I feel like this Cody stuff is, on the one hand, annoying to me. On the other hand, it's the most fascinating thing that has happened in wrestling in a really long time. So, Cody leaving AEW for reasons related to his creative visions failing has generated the kind of reaction and buzz that he hoped to get with those storylines, etc. Ironic? Really, is it ironic? I always get the usage of that word wrong.
  14. 100% agree with all of that. Just saying that one could see why some others might have a problem with it. I'm just reminded of a guy I worked with. He was one of those, "This place is so shitty! I can't wait to leave and tell everyone to fuck off!" guys. He was not nearly as good at his job as he thought he was. He leaves, tells anyone who will listen how horrible his time at our job was, goes to work for a competitor in town. I run into him about six months later: "Hey, are you guys hiring?"
  15. That is such an amazing picture in that ad. Man, the 900 numbers might be up there with the carniest things in pro wresting history. Pay us $1.49 per minute for us to tell you news we just made up ourselves.
  16. Not to speak for @Technico Support, but I think the point is that Cody was sooooo outspoken about tearing down everything WWE stands for. That was like his entire persona in early AEW. That's a lot different than being like, "man, it sucks working here" and then coming back later when the grass isn't greener.
  17. My wife has a Luke Perry 90210 t-shirt she wears around the house. My son cannot fathom why she owns a t-shirt with "Jungle Boy's dad" on it.
  18. Those Spring Break shows are pretty stacked.

This thread is making a good case as to why teams overspend on QBs.

I have zero recollection of Bledsoe being with the Bills. So weird. Looking at those QB lists, I also didn't recall that Kelly played up into 96 and Dan Marion until 99! Off the top of my head, I'd have thought they both retired in like 92 or 93.
  21. I'm late to the party, but man Bluey is just the best. If you've got kids and you want to put on something they'll love and you will too, this is the show.
  22. My elementary school and high school mascot was the bearcat. I only recently really saw what one looks like. Ugly little animal, really.
  23. Oh, right. Yeah, it's looking like it could pull a Green Book, and people are getting pissed I guess. Too bad. I've heard it's a good movie.

And the only thing damaged by these rumors is Meyer's reputation. So, no harm, no foul.
  25. I did see some stuff from MoM that made it a bit more plausible that he shows up there. I've got no real opinion on Krasinski and Blunt, but that's some nice casting.
