So, how the hell do we post YouTube links?  I see YouTube links, but when I try it never works.  I just want to post a cool Frankie Beverly performance to commemorate his passing, but it doesn't work.  Maybe, if we get some instructions here we won't have this issue going forward.  Thanks.

There is no magic bullet. I just had to posted that via my phone because none of the three browsers on this desktop I am sitting at would embed it.

Part of that is due to the way Invision's fucked up code hates embedding (See *waves arms* all the other posts about this)

Things that I do to have more success than failure. Others will have tried all of these and none of them work. Technology is fickle mistress and it was a mistake to embrace it.

- Make sure to copy link via "share" on a Youtube. Just copying the URL out of your browser frequently leads to problems

- Chrome is probably the worst browser for embedding. If I am on an actual computer - Firefox works for me about 90% of the time

- POST IN PLAIN TEXT (this goes with any media someone is trying to post)

- If you have the ability - posting videos via a mobile device almost always works

That "almost" is doing a whole lot of work.

Meanwhile, i've just given up, as I can't get it to work on any browser, mobile or pc.  Which really hurts me, since I work in tech.

If it was wifi I could get it to work!

What I find works is using Firefox and making sure to go to the website with the address as "http" instead of "https." Chrome will automatically change the url to https which then leads to problems with the Invision setup having http references.
