  1. That pretty much was the Bret Hart-Jerry Lawler feud. It was awesome.
  2. Ideally, all at once. But if the limit of eight at a time still holds, that would be acceptable.
  3. Except he's not blonde.:)
  4. I wasn't sure at first whether you meant "A mopey dope who dressed like Henry Cavill played Superman" or "Henry Cavill played a mopey dope who dressed like Superman", but either works.
  5. On a positive note, thirty-seven women on the roster has to be a new record. Any word on whether we'll be able to do a women's Royal Rumble in this one?
  6. Nothing against Aiden English, but I'd rather see Rusev as a singles champ.
  7. What I want to hear is the kayfabe explanation for Primo being almost fifty spots ahead of Epico.
  8. I actually thought the bit with Rowan as a vintner and classical cellist was pretty funny. I'll concede nobody else did, so objectively I guess it was a failure.
  9. Badly. But I actually think he could pull off a face run now. I don't see any reason he should, but he probably could.
  10. They're evil shoes. They're supposed to make you boo her.
  11. Echoing the thanks to Yo-Yo's Roomie, this was a good read. But I have to question the reference to the New Day's title reign as "impressive". I assume that was in reference to their ring work and not the booking? Because IMO their record-setting title reign was crap and made the tag team titles look like crap (but it wasn't New Day's fault).
  12. Pretty sure that was Nikki.
  13. I'm surprised it's as close as it is.
  14. That would put him more up-to-date than this board. We still think it's Seinfeld.
  15. Fair enough. Since that isn't what I was saying, it seems we have nothing to argue about. I'll have the internet shut down.
  16. Yeah, I was going to point this out earlier in the thread when somebody was speculating that Thanos would have done better/worse in that fight if he had more/fewer gems at that time. It was a really well laid-out fight IMO. Not sure exactly what you're saying with that last point. Do you mean the Gauntlet was specifically designed to wipe out half the universe when its fingers were snapped, and that it couldn't do any other cosmic-level effects? That's possible, but it seems unlikely, given that we saw Thanos use the unfinished Gauntlet to do all sorts of things. Or do you mean it could only effect a cosmic-level change once, and that burned it out? That does seem more likely, and I suppose it refutes my calling the Gauntlet "in play". But... well, see below. Sure, I don't disagree with any of this. My point wasn't "Thanos is unstoppable" or "Wanda isn't powerful". My point was simply that if they feel they need to hit the cosmic reset button (and they kind of have to), the heroes obtaining/repairing/modifying the Infinity Gauntlet seems much more likely than Wanda suddenly being able to do it. They could have Wanda do it. They could also have Hawkeye suddenly display previously unknown cosmic power and do it. But either would feel like a gigantic asspull IMO, whereas the Gauntlet and its power is now well-established in the MCU. I didn't notice. Was it a Shield Flying Car?
  17. You're not wrong, but I wouldn't say she's head and shoulders above their other top talents, which is where the complaints come from. And I agree with the general consensus that Charlotte is a better heel than face, which makes Becky turning on her rather than vice versa annoying.
  18. I could see it too, but I like the idea somebody else posted better (which I can't find now to properly attribute). Miz beats AJ for the title by bullshit chicanery at the Rumble, Bryan wins the Rumble, Miz-Bryan at Wrestlemania.
  19. As a kid, I had no idea who Aretha Franklin was. When Mean Gene would start the Wrestlemania III hype segments by saying "Aretha Franklin will kick things off with America the Beautiful", I thought that was a match featuring two wrestlers I hadn't heard of.
  20. I've seen this suggested before, but it seems unlikely. Number one, she's nowhere near that powerful, either in the comics or in the MCU so far. Number two, the plot of Infinity War already revolves around a macguffin that grants complete omnipotence. Why would they use Wanda for a reset when the Infinity Gauntlet is in play?
  21. Anybody you're able to repeatedly murder can presumably continue to show up after you're finished.
  22. IMO, the argument that Vince prefers to push blondes has merit; it's just when you phrase it as an absolute rule rather than a tendency it becomes ridiculous. According to Wikipedia, 16% of the US population is blonde. Wherever you personally put the dividing line between "heavily pushed" and not, I suspect you'll find more than 16% of the former are blonde.
  23. My problem with that triple-threat match was that it exposed how stupid the "no DQs in a triple-threat match" rule is. Why did they spend twenty minutes fighting unarmed if they had carte blanche to use weapons? Made Cena and Ambrose look like giant idiots, and Styles like only slightly less of an idiot for taking so long to figure it out.
  24. Wait a minute - that fifth-to-last post was only tangentially related to James Gunn.
  25. Roman successfully dissuading Braun from cashing in by staring him down would be pretty awful. Owens would work in that scenario.
