So the restaurant I was at was initially confused but once realizing it was Pierce of all people they erupted. That was easily my highlight of the game. Ravens fans love chanting that for a penalty they think was BS. After them doing it so many years I'm not surprised they finally found a way to deal with the chant.

That's much better, thanks. Plus that skit's awesome. And sorry for reacting at it like that, time heals and all but that's still a sore spot. -

I get what you're saying and all but my father-in-law died from that so I'm not a fan of this line. Instead, how about these? -Colon overload -So many colons, so little time -Wow, look at all those colons! That aside considering how poorly received the Suicide Squad game was I don't think I would even consider it for free. But Stanley Parable is a fun one. -
I tuned in just in time to see things get batshit insane. Holy shit.

After catching up on the last couple weeks of Raw and Smackdown I'm liking where things are going. Their debut on Netflix is looking to be must-see and that's before factoring Roman/Solo which feels like a big-time cherry on top. I know everything is largely pre-approved/talked about in segments like this but it's still weird to hear Seth mention not only Colt's podcast but Punk referencing Vince when talking about Seth. I'm sure it didn't take much for Punk to go all "The fuck did you just say?" in his face on the former and the latter got a nice "Oh, shit!" reaction from the crowd. If we're looking at points made I felt Seth came out better as he made Punk sound like a quitter. Though the stuff about arrows and all that balanced it a bit. The weird thing with the debut is Punk/Seth sounds like it'll be the main event but unless it's a fuck finish Roman/Solo sounds like the one that should main given the year-long story. I won't be mad either way but unless Punk/Seth has an all-timer to remove my doubts then I'd rather have seen the other match main.

Video Games 2025 VIDEO GAMES CATCH ALL THREAD
NikoBaltimore replied to RIPPA's topic in COMPUTERS & GAMES & TECH
What I played in 2024 that aren't simulators and dumb little games: -Hades II early access-Did damn near everything there is and waiting for next update. -UFO 50-Can't say I beat any of the games or even checked all 50 yet but damn are these fun. -Balatro-Never-ending game but I'm treating it like the roguelike it is and trying to get all the Jokers I can. -Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection-Punisher game rules as do the other games. -Black Ops 6 campaign-Fun campaign but don't do multiplayer. -Indiana Jones and the Great Circle-Still in the Egyptian area but like Uncharted 4 my wife has to be around for the cutscenes and helping with puzzles. -Madden, MLB and College Football games-All fun, went through multiple seasons in various modes for football though haven't done The Show. -Wrestling games such as WWE 2K, AEW's game and Fire Pro-Mainly exhibition matches. All in all it was a fun time gaming. With more top-tier games coming next year to Game Pass that will mean more time using that service and as mentioned I'm hoping to have a good time with Helldivers 2 in the coming year. -

I honestly don't know if I mentioned this but while at Celebfest years ago (before Bray passed away) Rowan was at a table. I was elsewhere but my wife loved his tattoos and wanted to meet him mainly for that reason. Not sure how long they spoke but she said he went over the ones on his arms and explained why they all have meaning to him. She said he was such an incredibly nice guy and when she saw him show up for the Brodie tribute she just felt awful for the guy. This is one person's account told to me but I can't recall one bad thing said about the guy. He just seems like THAT DUDE that you just want to hang out with and have a few beers. The only thing I wish was that I had a chance to meet him as well but I'm glad she did. -

*starts slow clap that builds into an intense standing ovation* I'd say you got more than your money's worth on that one. I had Balatro on PC and while fun it didn't suck me in like it did others. Then I got it the Saturday before Christmas while waiting at a Hallmark and it was at that point it all came together. It's the perfect thing for me to use while either stuck in line or watching a video/show my wife put on that isn't doing it for me. As for Steam only thing I got so far from the sale was Helldivers 2. Which is odd since I don't have friends that play it so it'd be all random people but why the hell not. -
I can't pretend to know or understand what you're going through but wanted to single these out to highlight the positive things about what you're going through. I see things have been tough but you're a lot tougher than you might give yourself credit for sometimes. With all that's happened I'm sure it'd be easy to give up and let things go where they take you. But you're doing the work and it shows every time you're giving an update. Even if the progress feels minimal it's progress and nobody can take that away from you. As always you're much loved over here but I wish more could be done to help in any way. Even if it's something small like an online gift card one can get to some thing or place you like I can't speak for others but I'd be happy to help with that. But no matter how small things feel with the positive parts of it all hold onto it tight and use that to build to more positive things in your life. It's worth it and so are you. My wife and I love you, mate and Happy New Year.

The theme is done by Creepy Nuts (yep, that's their name) who also did the opening for Mashle. That song and dance blew the fuck up big-time so it's not surprising the one for Dan da Dan is doing the same. Though in all honestly I don't like the opening song or dance nearly enough as much as the Mashle one and of the shows so far I find I like Mashle more.

Merry Christmas, everyone! Thanks for all the awesomeness through the years (and a Bah Humbug to the fools I had to ignore!) Hope you all had a good time wherever you were. As for what I got the standouts were Baltimore Orioles merch which I'm always happy to receive. Got some Ravens stuff too which was cool. My wife got me a Godzilla Minus One figure that looks really cool plus a ticket to Magfest so I'm a pretty happy sumbitch here. I know this sounds mushy and all but while gifts are great the thing I appreciate the most is the happy times spent with the family.

December 2024 Wrestling Discussion

Along with the magic in the ring Macho and JR were king-sized themselves on commentary. The enthusiasm felt genuine and it made Kid a made man, at least for one night. It's weird that this match doesn't get talked about as much as other Bret matches but it really should be. -
Last time I went to DC was that arena and while it was concerning how small it was I was impressed with how into it and loud they sounded. Tempting as it was though I held off on going last night as I had Christmas wrapping to do (all finished! It's a new personal record) While I feel I made the right call especially for financial reasons watching the show I regretted not going. I mean, you had Mercedes finding her groove in AEW and having a helluva match with Anna, Shelton looking like a goddamn star against Mortos and the MOTN in Darby/Ospreay. Darby being Darby lent itself very well to Ospreay's style and led to what felt like organic ways for the wacky stuff the happen. Only thing is I wish this was the main and not the 6-man tag as while I know story-wise it's more important it would have been worlds better for the crowd to end the show on a high and not what it was. Also, when Ricochet got cast aside in-ring I was imagining he'd be really pissed and essentially nuke Ospreay on Saturday to win back their favor. Then the backstage part happened and threw that way out the window. If this is how he's gonna be going forward then it's best he hangs in the midcard until they figure out what to do. And since he was in their Swerve with the reaction he got I would have called an audible and had Swerve go in the ring to cut a quick promo or something. He had the biggest reaction of the night and it wasn't even close.

The Viceland Wrestling Documentaries
NikoBaltimore replied to Nice Guy Eddie's topic in The PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING
I'm surprised they haven't done a Dark Side of HIp Hop though I'm sure those stories have been covered elsewhere. But I just wanted to add the new Body Count album is a fun listen. Ice T does the cop shows, Car Shield commercials and whatever reality stuff that makes you think he's chilled out. Then you hear the album and think "Ah, there he is." -

NikoBaltimore replied to Nice Guy Eddie's topic in The PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING
I don't think I can watch the Daffney one. Even for Dark Side that'll be too sad of a watch. Not to get on a moral high horse but I feel Vice is leaning very hard into the Dark Side shows and it's pretty much become their gimmick now. It started with wrestling but I see ones for the 90s, reality TV, comedy, football and others I'm forgetting. Feels like too much to me and wish Vice had more to it than that. I get it's considerably cheaper to do these instead of a show about a guy traveling the world trying psychedelics but it would be nice to see more than just Dark Side shows when looking at the guide. -

Now what dastardly fiend would go and do that? *checks admin list* Hehehehehehehehe.... Love ya, Natural but I could use some new emojis on there. -
Since I was not able to watch it all last night due to being busy hosting friends I saw it all just now. I not only stand by statement from last night but also felt match-wise they put their best foot forward. Great action throughout and for a notoriously quiet Long Island crowd they seemed vocal through it all. I did detect a bit of crowd sweetening in some parts but it wasn't needed. And Jesse found his groove and it was a delight hearing him again. I loved it all. I wish they put the pre-show promos in the opening and hope they consider that for future episodes. That aside In the past when they had old school nights it was jarring and hokey yet this had the perfect balance of old and new that felt so, so right. What stuck out more on re-watch were the entrances with the narrow aisle and single camera shot allowing wrestlers to show their personality. I feel some took advantage of that more than others with Io and Chelsea in particular nailing their presentations the most. But the overall presentation fucking ruled and made me one happy sonofabitch. And because it's that damn good I just have to do this: WINGED EAGLE, MOTHERFUCKERS~!!!! YEEEESSSSSS!!!!

2024 Game Deals, Subscription Services, Etc.
NikoBaltimore replied to AxB's topic in COMPUTERS & GAMES & TECH
I did the pre-install deal for Indiana Jones on PC Game Pass and it errored out at 99% when trying the install. Kept trying many times with the same result before I just gave up and uninstalled. It worked just fine however on Series X and I was able to install another game tonight so hopefully it resolves itself. -
I saw a couple episodes and liked it a lot but we kind of forgot about it after that. Might have get back to it at some point.

Awww, I was hoping for Captain Carter but I did love Agent Carter a lot so I can't complain much.

NikoBaltimore replied to RIPPA's topic in COMPUTERS & GAMES & TECH
It's still hard for me to wrap my head around a poker game being GOTY contender but while I'm not addicted to it I can definitely see why it's getting all the love. Now the question I have is if one game is worth getting a PS5. I would like to know of a few games I want to play on a system but if this one game is all I need then I might need to make some room for it. -
Upcoming Video Game Releases (2024 & Beyond)
NikoBaltimore replied to RIPPA's topic in COMPUTERS & GAMES & TECH
I didn't know how much I wanted a game like Intergalactic until the trailer hit. I'm sure it's a long way from even having an announce date but I'm all in. Dispatch seems pretty fun and my wife is gonna lose her goddamn mind for the Okami sequel. Even if a chunk of these games aren't my style I appreciate how Keighley treats these announcements like they're the greatest thing ever. It's mostly carny salesman stuff but I liked it just fine. It really stuck out to me last night how much the "Video games are art" mindset over the years has drove this and similar events to be taken seriously. When shows like this first happened years ago it was more tongue-in-cheek and would be on an MTV-type channel. It was mainly for laughs then someone like Miyamoto would show up and people would lose their minds not expecting a legend to actually show up. With TGA though it felt a lot like the Oscars but for a medium I pay more attention to. I'm glad it's come this far and it still feels like people have a good time with it all. That said when they opened with Harrison Ford coming out to join Troy Baker and Todd Howard I should have expected it but was elated all the same.
