  1. I just noticed Hawkins claps for a second, then looks around awkwardly. He's looking around like "I'm thinking to clap, but I'm done now." and stands there. Kind of stuck out to me.
  2. Just have to say that the network on PS4 is sublime. On PS3 it would take about 2+ minutes to load up a show, even if it was the live feed. On PS4 it takes a tad over a minute, sometimes less. Even if searching for shows it loads up lightning fast. Best experience I've had watching the network (it should be since it is a next-gen system) Does anyone have an Xbox One, and if so how well does the network work on it?
  3. Holy fucking fuck, this movie was amazing. It had a ton of comedy, and the action/story was there to balance it out nicely. The characters were about what I expected and then some. Dug Starlord, but preferred Drax and Rocket Raccon over him. Batista was great and Bradley Cooper delivered. Didn't really sound like him which helped me disassociate him from Rocket. And Michael Rooker was pretty fucking cool, he plays that type of character very well. The only time I was taken out of the movie was: We all enjoyed the movie a ton, and pretty much cheered when
  4. What tied it all together for me is the fact that Ian Zeering gave everything he had and then some into both movies. I feel pretty great seeing him so into this, especially the speech when he's about to go to the roof. Bless him, he should at least be considered for more roles. And Vivica A Fox was a welcome edition to the movie. Hell, even Mark McGrath somehow was bearable. I had to laugh seeing footage of a Mets game and it cuts to an obvious not-related-at-all shot of the cast in part of the crowd. It was so blatant that only a small amount of people were there for the movie that I absolutely loved it. And yes, Lauer's final shot ruled. Defending himself, realizing they're still rolling and saying goodbye was hilarious.
  5. I just read the last couple pages while the opening scene from Sharknado 2 was playing. The music is intense and you know bad shit's going on. Fits perfectly with these posts about TNA.
  6. I'm not going to talk about details (though Bald Bombshell's post made me go apeshit) I'll just say this: I'm going to see this at least two more times. One with my wife who had to sleep (thank goodness for DVR) and one with friends for a drinking game. I'm so looking forward to these times. And I kind of need it too, as there was so much goodness I need to see it multiple times to catch it all and process it. Holy fuck, holy fuck.
  7. Oh, man. It kind of hurts to see the beginning of that video, and how awesome TNA was. Take out the crap, and they had some quality moments, like Joe/Angle. Once it starting going downhill, it really went downhill.
  8. I'm at this weird point with Guardians. I'm very excited to see it, yet have no idea why. I never knew them from anything Marvel-related, and don't know much if anything about the story. Yet there's something about it that draws me in. Part of it is the cast, part of it is Rocket Raccon paired with Groot. Hell, part of it is just because it's wacky enough to amuse me. Either way, I'm sure I'm going to enjoy it.
  9. Can't be AAA, they're coming to El Rey Network in October. At this point any indy company with their shit together would be an upgrade. Just a damn shame that the past couple weeks of TNA have been good to great, and it's still not enough to undo the damage.
  10. Glad I decided not to wait to get Entwined. What a beautiful, beautiful game. So far I finished the sixth chapter and was in complete awe of how it looks. It's different from Journey, but man this is a blast to play. Gameplay is simple, just use the sticks. But it's all about themes and story. It's well worth checking out.
  11. Watching certain parts of Raw again, I really liked this show. I could use more of serious Cena, that was awesome. Heyman was great, wasn't feeling Cesaro's promo. Slow, but great match. I fucking loved the Swagger segment. This has to lead to a flag match, hopefully for Summerslam. When Rusev stomps on the guy's back he should hold it there for a few seconds and scream. Miz backing up to save his face was hilarious, as was HHH fake laughing (the gif of him going across the screen as it zoomed in on Steph was top-notch) And for Goldust/Stardust, all this cosmic key stuff should hopefully lead to Neil Degrasse Tyson coming in for a segment.
  12. Yessir. And Y2J going back to what he used to call Steph ("Filthy, disgusting...etc") was excellent before the cutoff for PG reasons.
  13. I'm drunk as fuck (yet edit my text because I'm a legit grammar nerd) but I adore the Bellas. I usually agree with the main posts about the show, but the Bellas are pretty damn great. Nicki as the sympathetic face is so lovely to watch, and Brie is just killing it in her role. I didn't give half a damn about them before, but for whatever reason I adore them I'll leave it at that until I sober up, but the Bellas are A+ in my book. I'll add more thoughts when sober, but I'll leave it at that right now (that damn Ouzo is playing with me, man) Oh, right, Cena's promo at the open ruled. I loved it, Cena going damn near weepy ruled. The match with Cesaro ruled. And on top of that Cesaro showing he's still friends with Heyman was cool. In TV land him and Heyman split, but I saw them as united as ever.
  14. El Ray to air 255 Shaw Brothers movies starting October 1. I'm beyond excited to know this. I'm really hoping for Piranesi's sake he gets this by then. https://www.facebook.com/notes/el-rey-network/el-rey-network-and-celestial-pictures-boost-multi-year-partnership-to-bring-view/531065216997912
  15. I wish they'd not try and negotiate and end this. Just...end this now. Air the NYC shows, then for the remainder of the contract show best of TNA shows. Get stuff from the X Division at their peak or something. Even if they somehow stay on Spike they're still screwed no matter what they do.
  16. Well, I ran out of likes on this thread alone. Great stuff, guys. I'm laughing at the incompetence on Dixie and Russo's part, yet am a bit pissed off at them. Lots of talented people got fucked in this. I imagine guys like Joe will go back to ROH or Japan. Him in Bullet Club maybe? Those that held out on WWE for TNA probably feel like shit right now, and it wasn't their fault. I've been forgiving many times for Dixie and enjoyed her heel character. Didn't expect her incompetence was this real (I've heard the stories in the past) How in the blazes she can do that and thing she got away with it is beyond me. As for Russo, fuck him. I'm biased due to his shit in the past, so even though he wasn't the only one to blame fuck him. The only time I didn't hate him was when he broke down talking about Owen on Austin's podcast. But other than that fuck him. Fuck it, kill the company, man. Jeff takes who he wants for GWF, and the rest go where they go. Fuck TNA.
  17. I laugh everytime I see this, yet don't know where this is from. I'm hoping it's a PPV or SNME so I can see it on the Network. That, or a Youtube search by me will do.
  18. Yay, Weird Al! So glad he finally topped the charts, he really deserves it.
  19. That song will sadly be meme-tastic, but I don't think many people will get that it's actually making fun of sports fans. It's going to be played so damn much during football though. I got the album and after hearing it it's so goddamn outstanding. Yeah, it'll be about the main ones like "Tacky" and "Word Crimes", but the other songs are amazing. Songs in the style of Pixies or Foo Fighters are ones I love so much. Got a huge kick out his song in the style of "Sparrow". Yeah, the last track won't get the laughs the others do, but I appreciate him making fun of love songs like that. It's weird, but hopefully is appreciated by many. I was so happy to pay $10, I'd have gladly paid a little more if need be.
  20. Because everything is wrestling to me, when I saw this on CNN I thought of that. I think if things get worse with them (and it's really horrible what's been happening) there might be pressure to stop this story. Maybe not from fans, but from sponsors.
  21. I know this isn't exactly wrestling, but I regularly watch Shawn Michaels's hunting show MRA Adventures. I have no interest in hunting or other hunting shows, but for wrestling's sake I watch this one. It's been pretty good, but this season is a bit more personal about Shawn. It's cool to see how he is at home. The most recent episode was about this deer that he's been going after for 3 years. It showed him getting pissed off and having a close call with it. Just tells such a great story. It's like the hunting equivalent of him trying to break 'Taker's streak. And: It's on Outdoor channel, and on some cable carriers is a premium channel. But if you happen to have it it's well worth checking out.
  22. I just love Weird Al. Can't say enough good things about what he does. Not a video per se, but him doing polka to hit songs got a big laugh out of me: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O6i_MXp9Dfs
  23. FUCK I missed Evo! I am so saddened by this. I don't know if I care to see the whole thing, but I am up for at least checking out key matches. Won a court case recently and got my check today. After paying for a noble cause (nice way of saying paying bills) I splurged and finally got a PS4. It's just lovely, man. Also got EA UFC and Playstation Plus for a year. The guy at Gamestop mentioned that for buying the PS4 I can get Watch Dogs for $10. I thought he meant $10 off and when he actually meant $10 period I was beside myself. That's a sweet deal, and if you're into getting a PS4 this is a helluva time to get it. Unless you're waiting for the Destiny bundle then by all means wait for that. I borrowed the PS3 version of the game and played for an hour and a half. But I'm more than happy to quit that and use the PS4 version. As for EA UFC, it looks amazing in every way. The sponsors are missing from key fighters which is weird (Rouse and Silva come to mind) but I'm loving it. The gameplay is still a bit arcadey to me, but after a couple matches I am getting into it. Wish you could download created fighters like the last game, that was always a cool feature.
  24. I'll be mainly playing PS4 from here on, not sure how much I'll do online. But if you're up for adding DVDR folks, my PS4 name is NickMD. I am playing EA UFC, so I'm up for getting my ass kicked if you want to boost your stats. And by that I mean I suck in online matches, not losing on purpose.
