  1. Bret was very much THE guy. Shawn was on his way up, but before he hit it big Bret was all over the place. Not Hogan over, but still in a respectable spot. Considering the steroid trial he was the guy WWE and fans wanted out there and it worked. When Shawn became champ he pretty much took over and it led to what it led to. As for all-time, I want to say Austin too but feel I'm missing out on older generations. Austin had tons of mainstream appeal yet had the skills to prove he belonged. Hard to argue against him. And goc, the ridiculousness of Sami's injury is not lost on me. I love the guy but if one has a fucked up shoulder they might want to watch how they fucking wave their arms.
  2. Gah, I so want this to be a reality now. This sounds too damn good to pass up on. I've thought more about how they interact on this show than almost anything that happened on Raw. And I guarantee we'd do a better job writing this than WWE's done with some of their main stories.
  3. Burgundy, I would watch the heck out of that show. A WWE high school drama sounds like fun times. Wonderful job! Now if you want to add some of the male roster in there as supporting characters, Sami going for Bayley but forever friendzoned is right there.
  4. I still envision a day where Sami and Bayley are the main male/female kids adore. WWE's PG era will make lots of sense once you have kids lining up like crazy to see them. And it is not that far-fetched an idea either.
  5. As soon as Bret came out I knew it was either Sami or Owens, but even before that I kept thinking how awesome it would be for that to happen. Cena is the master at turning a hostile crowd on his side, he had them loving him with that promo. Was in awe of it really. The Ole chants were a great precursor of things to come, and Heath's cameo/mic sell only added to the excitement. Didn't see until now how he hurt his shoulder. Given how amped he was he had more force on that. Still crazy to think he worked the whole match with that. I hope it's not serious, it could have been an aggravation more than anything. But who would have ever expected him to do all his main moves (save for the helluva kick) on John f'n Cena on Raw? When he did the Blue Thunder Bomb I couldn't believe what I was seeing.
  6. Okay, not really. Just wanted an excuse to post the picture.
  7. Whoops, meant Contest of Champions. Did I ever mention I'm not a morning person?
  8. I was prepared for such a question at the show and was going to just bullshit my way through it all, convincing them they're a new band. Too bad I didn't get the chance to try that.
  9. I wore this at a show at the Ottobar and was not as out of place as I feared. First shirt in a while I can wear without that whole "I'm wearing a wrestling shirt" vibe I get from others. And if Charlotte's debuting tonight then it's about damn time.
  10. Count me in the "think about it everyday" boat. Being on here definitely facilitates that, as I mainly read it during work. Not sure everything is wrestling to me, but a good amount certainly is. I could look at Conor Mcgregor and instantly think how great a pro wrestling heel he'd be, he's already got the promos down pat. Or Mayweather being quite the hugger a la Bayley. If I did a tally of how much I think about it in a day I would be either not surprised one bit or slightly depressed. I'm just glad it hasn't kept me from being productive.
  11. Yeah, the ending of Django...Kill was tremendous. Didn't know if I'd like the movie considering how awesome Django was, but it ended up being lots of fun. Keoma is just on another level. I could honestly watch that many times and not get sick of it. Aside from the epic music, I love the scene where he held up four fingers. Putting the camera on that showing him count down and it reveals the enemies was killer. It's easy to see why it deserved the awards it received.
  12. I'm pretty excited to see Guacamelee on the list, definitely downloading that. Unfinished Swan seems semi-interesting and worth checking out. Hohokum was free before and it's a fun little game to fuck around with. Not sure I'd buy it, but for free you can't go wrong. Will need to see what the other two are like.
  13. What I love about it is games like this and Conquest look gorgeous and are smooth as silk to play, yet don't require as much space on the phone like other big titles. WWE Immortals takes up tons of space (1.7GB) and it can be slow to play. They should see what Marvel's doing to accomplish this and use it to lessen the load for their game. As it is I wonder why this game's worth keeping because while it's fun and it's WWE it just hogs up the phone space. Future Fight is lots of fun, see myself going back and forth between that and Conquest.
  14. Good thing I decided not to get it right away. The Galaxy S4 has given me memory issues in the past, though using an app or two helps manage that. It sounds like it's a lot worse with the S6, so unless I want to use the app often I might hold off until they fix that on an update.
  15. Because it's the internet, Nattie wanted people to tweet cat pictures sad over New Day. Can't make this up. I'd lament about cat pictures being used to discuss a feud in 2015, but daaaawww look at the cats, they're adorable! http://www.wwe.com/inside/new-day-cesaro-kidd-natalya-twitter-cat-war
  16. Really, the only thing that's been a slight hassle is the curfew. Weekend plans have to be altered to ensure we're in, or I'll just stay elsewhere if I want to be out longer. That's a very minor inconvenience compared to the worst affected areas. But yet, it's definitely getting better especially after today's news.
  17. Yeah, living/working in Baltimore I can confirm things are going to be fine come Payback. Now if it were to turn into they weren't guilty, then no it would absolutely not be fine to have it here. Speaking of Payback, haven't bought a ticket a yet but am considering it. It's also going to be a fairly busy week at that. On top of Payback there's JR's show in Baltimore and if I can get tickets NXT in Philly Friday. My wallet might take a hit if I do all these. But if anybody's going to either B-more show let me know.
  18. That is true. But Steve was able to grill Vince just enough but found a way to make him comfortable in the process. I guess I've been spoiled by the Vince and HHH interviews, because those were much more revealing and entertaining. With Jericho's I fell asleep through the Cena one and was more interested in how Steph looked and sounded than anything she actually said. If people like these then great, I just prefer Steve's approach.
  19. Sandow's new gimmick is already old, and this is the first week doing it. The mimicking his own intro is beyond ridiculous, though ripping on Axel's intro was a little better. Didn't mind the mimicking sitting outside with Axel part as it led to some offense. But either tone it down or just stop it. And I can't believe I'm saying this, but Cameron actually looked good in her match. Not great, but good, and it's miles better than how she normally is. Oh, and anyone else catch Rollins raking his forearm on Dean? Reminded me a lot of Kenny Omega's WK9 version. I'm sure it's been done before, but it's something not seen much and it's awesome.
  20. It was pretty much a fluff piece where they mainly went down memory lane. No real hard-hitting questions, unless you count wanting Rousey for next year and AJ calling her out on Twitter. She came across as a really beautiful mom who is so damn nice. It was the least political she's sounded which is nice. But if one's looking for hard-hitting questions, this is definitely skippable. Really wish Stone Cold was doing these, but what can you do.
  21. According to Meltzer, when they say minimum settings, they mean it!
  22. I really enjoyed the episode. I agree that Sami needs to be called up immediately, but I also love his feud with Owens. It's that grudge feud they wish they had on the main roster. And Dana was much better this time around with the "less is more" approach. And Riley's popularity with some fans is still puzzling as he doesn't have much of anything going for him. The "RAAAAAAGGGEEEEE!!!!" vibe would have been kind of okay with me ten years ago, but certainly not now. If he's so full of rage his offense should at least reflect that, but he can't even do that.
  23. I might go back to Avengers Alliance for FB if it works smoothly on my Windows tablet. If so, then it'd be nice to get back into it. And there's a museum called Strong National Museum of Play which is going to do a legit video game hall of fame. They have 15 finalists for this year's class, and most of them seem like a sure bet for going in. http://www.worldvideogamehalloffame.org/2015-finalists Finalists: Angry Birds DOOM FIFA The Legend of Zelda Minecraft The Oregon Trail Pac-Man Pokémon Pong The Sims Sonic the Hedgehog Space Invaders Super Mario Bros. Tetris World of Warcraft
  24. The Springer episode was not as horrible as I thought. If anything it was nice to see wacky shit like Billy and Chuck and Mark Henry in his Sexual Chocolate days. Fun times. Foley's standup was a mixed bag. It had funny moments but he didn't have a real flow to the story he was telling. Plus, it was mainly retelling parts from his first book, which would be funnier if I never heard of these tales before. It's at least good to know despite their "strained" relationship WWE let him put that on the Network. Though more and more it's hard to believe he gets a pass for being such a creep. I could do with never hearing him mention the Divas again. Then there's also the tweet he put before the show aired that had a gif of Nikki's boobs with HHH looking on in approval. The more I think about it, the less I like the guy. But past that, it is nice to be reminded of how good he actually was. Maybe I should stick with his past matches/promos and forget his recent stuff.
  25. I was hoping Neville would win, but am fine with Barrett as KOTR. He'll do a great job being that annoying prick that reminds everybody all the time about his victory. Should lead to fun times. And it didn't hurt Neville at all. They played up he was going in with hurt ribs and put on a helluva couple matches. They could trumpet the fact that he did very well for himself and it might help him in the long run.
