  1. I checked in on The Simpsons last night and it was pretty good, Skinner and Superintendent Chalmers go on a road trip! The entire episode is centered on them and I think that's why I enjoyed it so much, have they been doing that with the secondary characters recently?
  2. They could do a 10 part series and still not scratch the surface on The Reagan’s.
  3. I wonder if they’d boot the Steelers-Ravens to next week then give their opponents Washington and Dallas byes, all four would play 15 games and “week 18” would only go down if needed for playoff scenarios.
  4. Sorry, I always get those two teams confused.
  5. As they should be! The had their actual bye week taken away because the Texans couldn’t handle their shit and now they lose the mini-bye after playing a Thursday game due to the Ravens being super spreaders. Also with how many Ravens are coming up positive don’t be shocked to see the game moved to Monday or Tuesday.
  6. Italian-Americans portraying Native Americans in media was pretty common back in the day, with the biggest example being Iron Eyes Cody aka Espera de Corti.
  7. From the look on Switzer’s face, I have a feeling this picture was taken right after he got word The Boz failed a drug test.
  8. This was the Steelers third straight road game, that’s sandwiched between two division rivals, and a backup QB. Those things have always been the Steelers kryptonite even back in the Chuck Noll days.
  9. Notre Dame is going to regret not going for 2 at the end of regulation. Also with the reviews and injuries SNL is going to start really really late.
  10. Was everyone else's reaction "oh no, who?" then a few seconds later bust out laughing when you realize who he meant?
  11. As a kid when I first started watching I really hated Bob Backlund, I remember at one of the first house shows I went to some guy got pissed that I was cheering Blackjack Mulligan to the point he tried to start a fight with my dad and uncle, I was a few months shy of 8 years old. I actually liked Hogan the first 6 months or so when he won the belt in 1984, once the feud with Piper started I was all in on Hulkamania being destroyed.
  12. There was a threat of the Orioles moving?
  13. No one on "The Vipers" needed their arm twisted to snort some coke, but I can see Jannetty and Snuka teasing Michaels for only doing two lines.
  14. Duggan needed someone "foreign" to feud with, even though Glens Falls, NY is closer to Montreal than it is NYC. Also Perfect was still pretty new to the company, Race wasn't even King anymore and Rude was in limbo before the Warrior feud started up at the Royal Rumble.
  15. They really missed the boat by not doing some sort of segment where the captains and in 1988 co-captains picked their teams. They could have built a little bit of tension with Savage and Hogan with Macho not being that excited with Hogan wanting Hillbilly Jim on the team and Hogan not happy that Savage pushed for Koko B. Ware.
  16. I think Heyman would have been a better fit than Cornette who seemed so out of place in the WWF along with managing a monster like Yoko. Remember that Heyman idolized and was mentored by the Terrible Trio of Albano, Blassie & Grand Wizard and their bread and butter was talking for monsters who couldn't talk.
  17. In 1988 they did co-captains and the Andre-Dino Bravo team was bad ass, those two along with Perfect, Race and Rude. I guess the Jake-Duggan team had the auto-draft on for the late round picks since they ended up with over the hill Ken Patera and jobber Scott Casey to go along with the always dependable Tito Santana.
  18. To me at the time and now viewed Hogan's team as weak, sure he has Bigelow but Muraco, Ornfdorff & Patera weren't over as faces and borderline unwatchable in the ring. Now if it was a legit ass kicking contest that team would be one of the best, even if all Hogan could do was counter someone leg diving him ala Verne Gagne. Savage's team in 87 was loaded but Honky's team was pretty bad, Davis was a jobber at that point, Bass was low card but got the bump since he was willing to get his head shaved, I always liked Herc but he was all rest holds in this time frame, Harley who would have carried the load for this team was eliminated pretty quickly.
  19. I re-watched The Great Train Robbery about a year ago, it’s a fun flick that’s really good. Connery and Donald Sutherland were a great combo and it’s a bummer they weren’t in more movies together.
  20. Hogan wore the “mystery” belt at three house shows in mid October 1986.
  21. 3 was good but 1 & 2 are all time classics for me.
  22. This season of Fargo is good but nowhere near seasons 1 & 2, I kind of wish I waited to binge it after they all aired on FX. Good Lord Bird is great!
  23. Lawerence is good enough to not have it be that much of a strike against him, plus the owners and GM's of actual functioning franchises know the Jets are a total mess that should be avoided by any decent player.
  24. I wonder how they're going to explain Screech and Lisa not being there "when the gang gets back together."
  25. I can’t see them picking up and moving to Vegas plus aren’t the MGM and Mandalay Bay arena’s used for boxing? I bet they move up the road to Jacksonville and use their arena, they don’t have a NBA or NHL team and even in Florida it’s going to be along time before concerts are back.
