  1. That video had me fall down the rabbit hole of CFL crazy plays and the XFL and USFL should really steal the rouge and onside punt rules.
  2. The Kahn's have a deal with Wembley for Jags games, so it'd be more likely and amazing karmic payback if they blocked Vince from using it. Would the WWE have WM at the smaller and less prestigious Tottenham Hotspur Stadium? I think that's the only other place that can have a non soccer event in March/April.
  3. My take on Indiana Jones and The Dial of Destiny, it was alright but way way better than Crystal Skull, it really misses the Spielberg touches when it comes to action scenes, they're ok but all seem to be missing something, Phoebe Waller-Bridge was good but... Force 10 from Navarone popped up on some streaming services last week, as a kid I always treated that movie as "what Indiana Jones did in WW2.
  4. They could easily use the course Indy Car just used in Detroit, they’d probably double the crowd.
  5. NASCAR running in the rain and fog in Chicago has me hooked.
  6. He was great in everything he was in, his scenes in "So I Married An Axe Murderer" are hysterical.
  7. The Superdome match with Reed was July 16, JYD’s last match in Mid-South looks to be a tv taping on August 1st and his first WWF match on August 10, pretty much everyone who jumped to the WWF gave no notice. Also, Dog was working in multiple promotions in 1984, Mid-South, JCP, Georgia, World Class (Ft. Worth shows), and Florida, I wonder how much of a cut Watts was getting from that.
  8. These shows really make me dislike Jim Ross even more than I did before, his whole spiel on JYD leaving Mid-South and how could he do that to poor Bill Watts was gross. He was acting like the Dog was the first wrestler to move to a high paying territory, that had been happening since the 50's, and it's not like Watts would have kept JYD around and paid him that much if attendance started to go down.
  9. This seems like it'll be interesting, seems like no one currently with the Stern show is in it.
  10. Am I the only one who felt back then and now that it was insanely stupid?
  11. They’ve had these kinds of games before.
  12. There was a ton of behind the scenes stuff that most likely caused the change from 6 to 5 episodes, 80% of the show was shot by Amy Seimetz but Levinson and The Weekend felt it had "too much of a female perspective", she got the boot and they took over.
  13. That in 2023 states are still using silly alternate names for certain types of gambling is so silly, these “electronic pull tabs” are basically slot machines, but you can’t call them slots since it might piss off some Puritans and Snake Handlers.
  14. So this song has replaced the Ozempic song in my head, with lines like “pinched off a porcupine” I can’t really complain.
  15. I always thought the Orndorff as a back up is blown out of proportion, Andre was working that much no matter what. Looking at the card and roster who could Mr. Wonderful even work with?
  16. I know I've seen it a few times but can't remember where, face Andre eliminating himself in a Battle Royal when the final three are him, one of his babyface friends and whoever the face is feuding with, always thought that was cool way to get someone else the win. Also, on a Coliseum Video there's a Battle Royal with the final two being Tony Atlas and SD Jones, since they're friends they have a coin toss to determine the winner, Atlas wins the toss and gently eliminates Special Delivery.
  17. He was one of the better snobby 80’s movie villains.
  18. He was arrested in a different state than where his license was issued, he’s going to spend a few weeks in the Allegheny County Jail and pay some fines. Huggins was arrested a few blocks from the Taylor Swift concert, he could have easily killed someone.
  19. Huggins thought he was in Columbus, Ohio.
  20. Watched Creed III the other day, it was fine but the training montage was pretty weak and those should be the highlight of any Rocky universe flick. They supposedly want to do more but I'm not sure where they could go, part of me wishes they'd go the animated route with a movie built around past their primes Drago and Clubber Lang fighting at Foxwoods in the mid-90's.
  21. Savran never did regular play by play for the Steelers, just pre-season games when WTAE-TV had them, but he hosted pre and post game shows for all the Pittsburgh teams over the years. He was a great sports talk host be it radio or tv, hence him being on air from 1976 until 2023.
  22. The oil bust was one of many factors in the UWF’s downfall, it gets the most mentions purely due to the Jim’s(Ross & Cornette) pushing that narrative. The UWF had the syndication network, but either never ran or didn’t draw well in towns outside of their territory, what’s the use of paying to have your tv on in a market if your not going to run shows there. The UWF also had way too many guys at the top of the card whose Japan dates were a priority, that hurt at the gate in the main UWF towns.
  23. JCP buys UWF if there was no accident, Ross and Watts combined carny powers were no match for a mark like Jim Crockett Jr. Everyone needs to remember that Crockett wasn't some great business mind, he was the oldest son who took over the family business after first being passed over for that position, he made a lot of bad decisions before the accident and would have still made them if there was no accident. I can't see them keeping Magnum as a long term champion with Flair still around, sure the chase would be amazing business but then what? Magnum would need the belt for 2 or 3 years while being booked in the Bruno/Pedro/Backlund style of champion, how could they do that with Flair still around?
  24. Wait the that stadium is going to be in Jacksonville not London?
  25. That is one of the funniest sketch’s of all time.
