  1. Wow! Well, this was pretty much everything RAW apparently wasn't. No clear challengers for Kross yet, but the Women's division is indeed on fire. I don't mind Raquel smiling more, as long as she keeps threatning to shove stuff up her opponents' asses! So far, Dakota showed zero signs of jealousy or envy, but it's early days. Indi and Dexter has the potential to be the next Otis and Mandy - saga, although this will probably actually lead to a real conclusion. NXT hasn't attempted anything like this before, right? The results so far have been promising, but it may end in tears. That can be a good or a bad thing, though. So, are Ciampa and Thatcher going after MSK, or Imperium? Ciampa was talking about the titles and I don't see him wanting anything to do with WALTER again. Kushida was the way to move Escobar to bigger things and they will probably now use Devlin to establish Kushida as the top cruiser weight. I expected this to show up on the Network yesterday, but apparently I have to wait until Thursday, like it was before.
  2. What would be the give or take mathematical odds of an asshole running into other assholes all day? *paging Prof. Steiner*
  3. I'd be all over that shit right there! ...then again, I was all over Camp WWE, so I guess that should go without saying.
  4. Well, she bought it, unfortunately! And the way Hogan sold it (when he was told the cameras were rolling) it was like she had fallen off one of the actual Twin Towers! Maybe she WAS convinced she needed to self medicate for more than a decade after the fact?
  5. The one bump she took during Twin Towers vs Mega Powers Saturday Night's Main Event must really have been an all-time motherfucker!
  6. Lipsynch or not, Poppy had far and away best performance of the week.
  7. Titus needs to give Mandy some pointers on how to live this one down! Poor, poor Mandy!
  8. Night 2 was not quite as good, but still enjoyable. As far as opener goes, is it fair to assume that Sister Abigail gave The Fiend the no-selling powers and can take them away at will? Bazler & Jax retaining was the right move and makes Night 1's result look more sensible. Sami vs KO was fine, but no real shits given. Riddle vs Sheamus was good but with a couple of brutal botches. Ending was gnarly. The Nigerian Letter Fight was what it was and with a name like that Big E was expected to be screwed out of his gold. Good for Rhea to be finally getting the entrance she should have gotten last year. Asuka and Bray probably have interesting conversations on how WrestleManias suck! I paid zero attention to this match, and I don't see a scenario where I'm going to give it another go. Main event was very good, but the way it was building up, you could tell that the sensible finish was indeed Reigns retaining.
  9. Maybe because our souls aren't dead...quite just yet?
  10. Damn, that's telegraphing whether he's gonna hit or not, then! If that's the case. Also, if he's running and doesn't hear the choo-choo, he should automatically hit the brakes, because he's about miss or crash!
  11. Seems legit to me ? That's the level of snuggness I like in shirts. Of couse, material needs to be very stretchy. Peeling the shirt off is the shitty part.
  12. Man, Night 1 was really good all around, weather delay be damned!
  13. Did it go something like: "We take wrestling seriously makes me think of Davey Richards vs Davey Richards in a Davey Richards On A Pole match, Inside a Steel Davey Richards?" I don't recall the exact wording, but the gist of it was something to that effect.
  14. Pelago family's parents are dicks! Unless the guy changed his name in college, or something?
  15. This should probably go to some WWE threads, but the individual show threads of last week are closed already. Anyway, Finnish television is apparently giving wrestling a shot, once again. RAW and SD (seemingly these are week old episodes, so much better than the 4 week delay on the Network) are airing 11PM on Friday and Saturday, respectively. One way or another there has been a way to see wrestling on television (cable or satellite dish homes, anyway) in Finland since '87. There's always a few years when it's not on, but it creeps back in, despite the general populations' deep indifference or disdain for it. The same channel that gave it a chance in 2001 is now giving it a shot in 2021. I would think the fan base has shrunk to much less than what it was when they last decided that it was no longer worth the channels' time. Well, I'll be intrigued to see how long it lasts this time around. I did inform a couple of lapsed fans about it.
  16. They way that GIF ends, it would seem like a good and surprising way to end a match. Obviously leading to a no-count outs rematch, later.
  17. Just started Night two, and Vince wins after all, with Triple H giving us Poppy performing Stand and Deliver! As far as night 1 went, Gonzalez did it and covincingly at that. Her rise to the top has been one of the most unexpected, welcome surprises in past couple of years. I'll comment on other matches later, if something important comes up. Will refrain from reading this thread until then. Yeah, both nights had their moments. I wonder who will step up to challenge Kross? O'Reilly? I see Kai slowly turning on Raquel, but it's doubtful that she'll be the first challenger. She might be the first serious challenger, though. I really thought Jordan Devlin was going to get the cruiser titles, so Escobar could move on without being pinned. I wonder if GYV will get the tag titles at some point, but another big win for MSK. They have really been pushed right out of the gate.
  18. Wow, that IS pretty shameless! I've never heard this one before! Ay-o, DMX!
  19. If the said match would have ended in a double count out after that spot (with both guys knocked out on the floor), would it have been remembered as a cool finish instead?
  20. Well, according to the general thread, they will most likely throw bags of urine at you!
  21. Lex beating Flair at WM IX when he missed out on doing so at GAB'91, would probably have been cathartic, actually!
  22. Ok, time for an update. I think I just about reached 200 lbs before going back to work, but I slipped back down to 198 in couple of days. Went for a little jog/brisk walk on Tuesday and decided to try to climb a flight of stairs the town has built on a side of small hill, for public exercise purposes. I jogged them up and walked them down as fast as I dared, twice. Then jogged and walked back home. No more than 3 miles overall, and my thighs were stiff af for three days! I'll definitely start going there regularly, once the diet begins. I returned to work on Thursday and was supposed to start with trapbar, but my legs said no. So I did upper body instead. Usual stuff with bench included. Did 6 x 3 x 264, 12 and 8 x 220 and 22 x132. I'd rather want to do 3x6x264, but that wasn't going to happen, so I take what I can get. Today, it was Trapbar and shrug day, as my legs were finally feeling better. Did 10 x 230, 6x 352 and 5, 5, 6 and 5 x 430 and a bunch of shrugs. Ab stuff at the end on both days. Only two days of work, so only two work outs, but that's fine by me. Let's see, if next week I'll be back in the groove?
  23. There are so many worse things than having Land of Confusion stuck in your head that I don't even know where to start. Ok, I'll start with a fork stuck in your head, for instance, but I'll stop there. ...I love that song, btw...
  24. Ok, how many seconds after pic was taken, does Bivens do his best "Eddie Murphy in Beverly Hills Cop"-impression and fly back first through the glass on the door, when WALTER chops him out of his shoes?
