Cheating! At the Curling World Championships! https://www.thecurlingnews.com/news/china-caught-cheating-in-curling

I guess it didn't make the show but they also taped a fun Marina Shafir squash that was just her doing a bunch of sick judo throws on some poor local. Also I have now seen two generation of Blooms wrestle live.

AEW TV - 4/9 - 4/15/2025 - Welcome To The Hotel CaliFTRnia
Zimbra replied to Dolfan in NYC's topic in ALL ELITE WRESTLING
Hell yeah, we get a big, dumb 8-man tag: Will Ospreay/Speedball/Briscoe/Kevin Knight vs Ricochet/Andretti/Lio/Mortos. Winning team gets $400K and Ospreay and Ricochet are the team captains for some unexplained reason. E: Also, too: Mox/Shibata -
They also fired their GM What the fuck?

Damn, I'm sorry and I hope your knee isn't badly hurt but I also have to admit that the first thing I did was Google the homer to see if they caught you falling on TV.
-
Please don't do this to yourself. I turned it off halfway through and I'm someone who willingly watched Love & a .45 twice.

Shit, Val Kilmer died.

They announced John Wick 5, plus an animated prequel and a spin-off about Donnie Yen's character from 4 directed by Yen.

Hell yeah, had to cop the autographed edition. -
Steve Englehart's Dr Strange run is a really great advertisement for Drugs.

AEW TV - 3/26 - 4/1/2025 - Brody (You're A Fine Girl)
Zimbra replied to Dolfan in NYC's topic in ALL ELITE WRESTLING
Besides Collision there is a Kid Rock concert and a Warhammer convention in Milwaukee today and let me tell you there is just every kind of dude walking around -
Maybe, but I do think there has to be more to it to jettison him this close to the playoffs to replace him with someone with less than a season of NBA experience.
-
Will they even let you watch Boondock Saints outside of a dorm room or weed dealer's apartment?
-
The Grizz just fired Taylor Jenkins as HC. That is a profoundly weird move for a playoff-bound team. E: Also no mention of a replacement. This is going to be some shit, isn't it?

WRESTLING ON THE INTERNET NOT FROM THE NOW
Zimbra replied to RIPPA's topic in The PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING
Those are the 90s wrestling yearbooks that somebody (Lynch maybe?) put together years ago. Like 20+ discs for each year of the best stuff. -
Upcoming Video Game Releases (2025 & Beyond)

The revealed lineup makes me hopeful we'll get Adam Warlock -
That would make sense. I wasn't sure what all was new outside of the Fisk/Vanessa stuff.

My big beef with Muse is that after 5 episodes of "what are our duties to each other in a time on institutional rot?" throwing in "serial killer who paints murals with his victims blood" feels like something out of a whole other show. Maybe this is just one of the visible seams from when they completely reworked the season.

Yeah, that job was definitely not helping me be my best self. I did remember one more funny story: the owners freaked out when they found out the office manager was stealing and had the IT guy pull the browser history for every computer in the store, I guess to see if we were visiting embezzling.com or whatever. So I had to explain to the very angry owner what deathvalleydriver.com was and why I was visiting it when I was supposed to be working.

Only one Thunderbolt not announced so I guess we know who doesn't survive that movie. I wonder how they'll deal with all the X-Men being in their 50s-60s, but I'm guessing the answer is just 'CGI'
-
Oh, it had the most rancid vibes imaginable. All the managers hated each other and everyone hated the owners. And then (spoilering this part because it's real sad)
-
Hell yeah, Swordsman! Two kinda nothing episodes. The Muse stuff isn't interesting to me and doesn't seem to really tie in with the overarching story or themes of the show, but they still have time to square that circle.

Matt Watches 1989 AJPW/1986 NJPW on a Treadmill
Zimbra replied to Matt D's topic in The PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING
Matt do you happen to know if any of Tracy Smothers' 88-89 NJPW tour is on tape? All I've been able to find are a couple of JIP tag matches.
