  1. The best part is I actually had to check to make sure Hanson was drafted after Sanders.
  2. Selig (or any other MLB commish) has never attended an arbitrator's hearing such as this ever. He's not required to do so, and it has never happened before. A-Rod indigence over that is pretty much utter nonsense.
  3. I managed to get Switzerland, USA, Cameroon, Russia. Which seems about as gentle as it could get though is still a tough group to call. That draw also had a ludicrous Group A: Brazil, Mexico, France, England.
  4. Yeah that kid is epic. Pierre Thomas is sort of quietly having an amazing year, for a guy that only gets to play half the offensive snaps.
  5. Jagr is the best player at forward the Devils have this year, which is probably bad since he's, you know, 41. In their defense, Kovalchuk just walking out on the NHL hurt them a lot. But still, they've got problems.
  6. Oilers are currently on a 14-0 goal run. I've heard of hot and cold but this is pretty ridiculous. Even if it does come against Calgary, Columbus, and Florida.
  7. I'm partial to the Dragon/Black Tiger one myself.
  8. Matt Ryan just basically got punched in the face for no flag, if you find that subject exciting.
  9. I find it interesting there's not a single QB on the ballot, currently. I can't imagine that happens all that often.
  10. Funny I was going to say it's amazing that A-Rod is the only idiot in baseball that can make people side with Selig. Not a chance. I'm all in for A-Rod. I hope he mops the floor with baseball in court. To be honest I'm happy to say they sort of deserve each other, long may their marriage endure.
  11. One of my laptop's fans has started acting very strange. A couple of times now randomly it starts making a *ton* of noise. Luckily turning it off for a few minutes seems to solve the problem. I keep a temp sensor running all the time and the first time it spiked like crazy too, so it might just be clogged I guess. I have never opened a laptop before (was inside several desktops in the OLDEN DAYS), the idea terrifies me thus. But looks like I might have to dive in. At least I have an external hard drive to back shit up just in case it explodes or something. Such a good investment for at least some peace of mind. But even having to buy a cheap new laptop would really bite right now.
  12. I once got hit turning because in an area with no traffic someone decided leaning on the horn was preferable to using the steering wheel or breaking at a red light. Big fucking shocker: they had no insurance.
  13. Funny I was going to say it's amazing that A-Rod is the only idiot in baseball that can make people side with Selig.
  14. Yeah I'll bet you felt better after that.
  15. This entire generation sounds hilariously awful. It's like all the worst parts of Steam multiplied by infinity.
  16. Thursday, November 21 New Orleans at Atlanta Sunday, November 24 NY Jets at Baltimore Pittsburgh at Cleveland Tampa Bay at Detroit Minnesota at Green Bay Jacksonville at Houston San Diego at Kansas City Chicago at St. Louis Carolina at Miami Indianapolis at Arizona Tennessee at Oakland Dallas at NY Giants Denver at New England Monday, November 25 San Francisco at Washington Tiebreaker #1: Making it's glorious return, GENO SMITH TURNOVERS 2 Tiebreaker #2: Total points in Den/NE game 61 Tiebreaker #3: longest field goal kicked in Ten/Oak game 43 yards
  17. I imagine Dierdorf and Tim McCarver sitting somewhere quiet having a couple beers, bitching about young people everywhere.
  18. I should start looking at the weather forecast for the game. All I know is in rural central Alberta it's -25 right now. If that blows into Regina in a few days... lol.
  19. If you can use the words "roll the dice", "weather", and "flying" together, someone has made a bad choice somewhere. Unless you are flying cargo planes in the arctic, why?
  20. Nelson had 117 yards and that Boykin guy like 90-something last week even with Tolzien, so why not.
  21. They were. I've actually gone very easy on refs in all sports in general since seeing that. It was astonishing the difference, not just the calls (which we all knew would be terrible) but how difficult it was to handle keeping the game moving at a correct pace. There were some nearly 2 hour first halves during that ref strike, it was atrocious to try and watch. That and near the end, how openly abusive players were getting towards the replacement refs, some of it bordering on physical intimidation which you'd never think to try on a regular ref. It was a gong show.
  22. http://youtu.be/LtT9jDd_UGQ I busted out laughing when I saw this for the first time tonight.
  23. Not really surprised they found a way to stick all the most wanted cars behind an in-game paywall. That's sort of MMO in a nutshell.
  24. "It's Ok to make bad calls if they happen to teams that win a lot. We should celebrate incompetence in those situations."
