    Rawson Marshall Thurber directed Skyscraper, so I'm still optimistic that it's going to be good. But damn, that's some hardcore 9/11 imagery. Also, Ghost Protocol has the greatest set piece built around a tower I've ever seen, and I don't think anything in this is going to touch it.

    It's kind of charming how Dwayne's so into this notion that his Die Hard meets Towering Inferno movie is an original concept.

    Cactus Jack 2000 totally sounds like a syndicated action show that would be on in between Pamela Anderson's VIP and Andromeda. A lot of the heat Foley had with Hunter for awhile seemed to generate from Triple H downplaying Foley's importance to getting him over and establishing him as a credible main eventer.

    I have a visceral reaction to the first few bars of Ziggler's song, but that's more about him than the song.

    Foley won the blowoff during his 97 feud with Hunter. Although even there I'm pretty sure he got wrecked by DX on their first night together shortly after that and there was no follow up because he transitioned to the Kane feud.

    Taka/Hunter is a good call. I think the HHH/Shawn title match on Raw that ended in a double pin is the best match they ever had together and the closest Hunter ever got to the traveling champion vibe he was trying to conjure up at the time. The Punk/Cena title match that went to a draw was another one that I thought was pretty excellent, and probably their best on a technical level.

    Taker was also stuck with a rogues gallery of monster heels that were his size or bigger, so he spent a lot of his early years having plodding hoss matches. You can see him revel in working with Bret in 95/96 and tell that he wanted to prove that he could really go.

    Gibson talked about it when he was promoting Hacksaw Ridge. It sounded like he's going to add a bunch of characters experiencing personal or political turmoil who are affected by the resurrection. I'm sure he's berating a screenwriter into figuring it out right now.

    If nothing else, this makes me want Braun's special Wrestlemania entrance song to be He's Large.

    It was so easy when it was just the triple crown/grand slam. I didn't even remember that thing on his head was the KOTR crown. I thought it just contributed to the silliness of the picture.

    Speaking of EC3, I hope he and Spud get to work together again at some point. They're magic together. Their hair vs hair match is one of my favorites from TNA.

    Yeah, but Jericho also put over Fandango at Wrestlemania and hadn't rehabbed his perception as a Legend/JTTS with the List. It was actually treated like a big swerve when he went over any up and comer at the time. AJ actually credits his work with the Miz as the point where Vince was sold on him. He talked about it on Edge and Christian's podcast.

    Vince thought AJ's Rumble reaction was a fluke, so I don't know if he's going to make much out of Cole being over in Philly.

    The saddest part about the Bryan thing is that all of his offense was convincing and he didn't have to keep up the dumb shit that got him hurt. Finn could look like he belongs with bigger guys without crippling himself, it's just that nearly everything he does looks bad (at least to me.) Although, as has been pointed out, he's way over so it's not like he has to change anything.

    I was against this idea for the Rumble, but this would be a fine time to do the Santina gag as there are basically no stakes.

    Selling her first appearance as a wrestler is going to be a priority for Mania, so I don't think she'll work publicly until then. I'm curious after WM which woman has to be the gatekeeper and cuts the "You Don't Belong Here" promo before putting Ronda over in her first singles match. I guess it'll be Nikki.

    The story at Mania is a celebrity athlete transitioning to pro wrestling, so it's a little different than a wrestler who has an MMA background. I expect that she'll get some more training in the next couple of months and be fine for some good spots in the tag match. After that she can spend plenty of time at the PC to get polished. I do agree with whoever suggested she'd need a mouthpiece, at least to get started.
