  1. Weren't Matt Cardona and Brian Myers portrayed as brothers when they signed with WWE?
  2. He absolutely was. But he couldn't do a southern accent so Vince cut him off at the knees.
  3. But how familiar with AEW is he? Because I could see him looking at the roster and thinking "Man I wouldn't mind working with Omega. That Hangman kid is pretty good too, we could probably tear it up." and so on. Him and Christian vs the Bucks, one more match with the Hardys, one more match with Jericho. Plus, and someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think he ever worked with Danielson or Moxley in WWE did he? My point being, there's plenty of interesting things for him to do in AEW assuming he feels physically up to it.
  4. When a talent has problems with as many people as Punk has (seriously how many guys has he publicly beefed with, 10?) they're not worth keeping around no matter how talented.
  5. Sting is 65. Billy Gunn is 60. Jeff Jarrett is 56. Jericho is 53. I'm sure Copeland could work a handful of matches per year and still last 3 or 4 years
  6. Double post so here is the hilarious story of how Terry Funk became a fan of the Insane Clown Posse: https://twitter.com/JamieOD/status/1412436178050105355
  7. During the Chainsaw Charlie days, my friends and I were driving up to Vancouver BC from Seattle to go to a WWE house show. As we cross the border, one of my friends starts frantically yelling at me to pull over so I do. He says he saw Mick Foley and Terry Funk go into one of the customs offices. We go inside and I hang back a bit because they were being delayed crossing the border (presumably because they had a barbwire bat and chainsaw in the trunk of their car lol). Anyway after several minutes, they finally turn around to leave. I don't wanna bug them because they've just been dealing with customs and are no doubt stressed out. My friend has no problem bugging them and approaches both to ask for an autograph. By this point it was pretty well known Foley was a nice guy IRL but I have to admit to being somewhat surprised when Terry Funk flashed the warmest, brightest smile I had seen in years and put his arm around my friends shoulder while Foley signed the autograph. This was pre-smart phone, the internet wasn't near the behemoth it is now. Both guys could have blown him off or even been rude and hardly anyone would ever have heard about it.
  8. Terry Funk was, still is, and will forever remain my all time favorite wrestler.
  9. Octopus will be right back with Regis Philbin!
  10. When I turned 40 I still had a full head of hair and 20/20 vision. Now..... *sobs quietly*
  11. Seeing as I just turned 46, boy is this a hard disappointing truth
  12. You remember correctly. I even used Stewie as my name on an older version of the board
  13. It'll never happen but man would I love to see Swinger beat Kenny King. King does nothing for me.
  14. Wesley Blake. I only remember because at a NXT show I went to the crowd started a dueling chant of "Which one's Mur-phy?" and "Which one's Blake?"
  15. Spent most of the day packing lol. I'm moving in a week.
  16. To throw one out that hasn't been mentioned yet: Jake The Snake's first promo when he came out and called Cody "Caesar"
  17. If ever there was a time to bring back Defend Your Life...
  18. So what if Nemeth was a strong NCAA wrestler? Punk is a trained MMA..... sorry I can't finish that without laughing.
  19. I'd sooner hear "Alien Nation" or "Hit Between The Eyes" personally
  20. On Ethan Page's newest vlog, there's a fair amount of interaction between him and Jake Roberts at a convention. What's funny is you can plainly see Sgt. Slaughter right behind them multiple times. Isn't Sarge still on a WWE legends deal? Anyway, best part of it is when a bat somehow gets in the building and starts flying around. Page and several fans are all ducking, running etc from it while Jake and Sarge don't move a muscle. Also the new Hey! (EW) with Big Bill is a riot.
  21. I enjoyed the first 3 seasons, but by the 4th you could tell they were running on fumes and had no money.
  22. This is why I don't listen to the radio anymore. I live near Seattle, and both our rock stations pretty much play the same thing every hour: AC/DC, Led Zepplin, Metallica, Alice In Chains, Nirvana, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Foo Fighters. 10 bucks a month for Sirius XM is worth it (though I could do with not hearing Jose Mangin prattle on endlessly on Octane at least 3 times a day)
  23. What was the deal with that team anyway? Wasn't Keirn only there for a few weeks?
