goodhelmet
If there are any problems, report them here. In the meantime, finish up the AWA!!! Phil is posting the matches for the lucha set so feel free to post your thoughts on those but save those thoughts on a word file to be safe. Matt D
After I pay my quarterly taxes on Monday, I'll start to work out the rest of my AWA ballot. The middle will be murky but i had the beginning of the end mostly worked out, and that's what matters most. Some things will move (Hennig vs Hansen) but not much. The one match i need to actively rewatch is the six man with the women.
goodhelmet
Ultimately, we won't release the AWA results until we have enough ballots to make the results valid. Keep watching those sets and sending in ballots.
JerryvonKramer
Will the old posts be coming back in viewable form? Would appreciate a firm answer one way or the other so I can finalise my ballot. Just need to know before I put some time into re-ranking the earlier discs. goodhelmet
There is no firm answer. They may be available tomorrow. They may be available next year. It is why we are stalling on AWA.
Matt D
I found my disc rankings that I had e-mailed to myself during the times of great instability. Obviously my opinions are the best for this stuff so if anyone just wants to cheat off my list, I would be okay with that.

goodhelmet
No. Still working on watching lucha. Portland or Puerto Rico will be next.
Matt D
Watching lucha is tough. Everything's long and you have to give the thing your full attention and then some because the announcing doesn't help (Well doesn't help me with my crappy high school spanish). Curt McGirt
I don't see why it's any different from watching Japanese wrestling. You learn the styles visually. The knowledge or lack thereof of the language doesn't matter.
Matt D
I imagine it's not. Wait, they wrestle in Japan?
Curt McGirt
Hardy fuckin' har. Quit making excuses.
Matt D
To be fair, I've only done the AWA set and I don't really watch a ton of Japanese wrestling (thus the running joke) or wrestling without English commentary. The lucha set is a stretch fo rme.
Curt McGirt
Okay, I can see that then. I've never been much of a fan of lucha commentary honestly but I love Japanese commentary. Part of the appeal to me of watching wrestling in a foreign language is that you have to rely on the wrestlers to tell their story to you entirely without any aid. Matt D
I don't mind that at all but it raises the level of difficulty in watching and the time it takes.
Curt McGirt
That's why we have OJ with us Honestly if anything the clipping and VQ impede my viewing more than any commentary issues, identification of wrestlers being the main problem.
