Later I saw his stand-up comedy and his part in Young Ones. He was (and still is) hilarious. RIP. "Five minutes to go till the most important party of my life and half the house has been wrecked by a gigantic sandwich!" I now leave you with his fine and very memorable poem: "THATCHER!" I was never particularly a huge fan of Mayall or the Young Ones, but I loved Bottom which IMO is one of the best sitcoms of all time. RIP Mayall.
