So the latest Kayfabe Commentaries interview with Cornette paints a pretty sad powers-that-be picture as far as Ring of Honor goes. Apparently some idiot who does the merchandise went to HR in Sinclair which put the stop to Adam Pearce returning as color commentator in 2011, over some heated words said when Pearce was booker in 2009. Along with a bunch of other idiot decisions made by the "office guy" Really fascinating and fucked up insight into how Ring of Honor was (is?) being run.

I enjoyed this show. AJ and Bully was really fun sloppy brawl, and the right guy went over with no screwy bullshit. Was really shocked by how good that BroMans vs. Gunner/Storm match was. Some great near falls. Ultimate X was a bit underwhelming, and Angle/Roode could have used less ankle lock/crossface stuff, and the finish sucked. Magnus/Sting, if only Sting were more mobile I think this would have worked a lot better. Magnus deserved better though. EC3 was fine in his role. Missed the Knockouts match.

I'm highly interested in 4, 6, and 7. But the main event really does nothing for me. I'd hope Lumberjack Death Match means Tanahashi and Devitt grow beards and show up in flannel, but sadly I think I'd be wrong.

If it was the finish and the booker cleared it, then it should be the booker's fault. If (for some god awful reason) it wasn't the finish and they didn't bother clearing the spot ahead of time, then it would be on the shoulders of Whitmer and Bennett for even coming up with such a spot. However an update has been released stating his CT scan came back negative and he can be released from hospital today or tomorrow.

Some scattered thoughts from tonight's ROH show...London/Elgin was fantastic....The Whitmer bump was terrifying.... Wolves vs. Hooligans was exactly what you'd expect in the main event spot. I didn't mind it and thought it was fine, and Davey getting the most heat of the night for teasing a ring apron double-stomp on Romero..... Jimmy Jacobs showed up in the ring during intermission and said since ROH didn't put him in the tournament or let him sell merch. He brought a backpack and sold autographs and his own t-shirts during intermission.... Kevin Steen is still ridiculously over in Toronto.... Even Tomasso Ciampa/Silas Young was a fun match of two guys just beating the dogshit out of one another for ten minutes.

Got the new Chimaira album Crown of Phantoms (Fan Edition) in the mail yesterday. After a few listens, it's definitely a Chimaira album and losing half the band, may have been an improvement if compared to their last album. Worth a listen, I'd say.
