Oh, man. THE WALKING DEAD is the worst ever when it comes to all that headshot bullshit. People are constantly running around, firing wild, clearly unaimed shots and scoring headshot after headshot. Zombies are absurdly easy to kill on that show. You have to be a fucking idiot to get killed.

I actually think RichRod would've been alright at Alabama. I think he's proven at Michigan and now Arizona that he can conjure absurd amounts of offense anywhere. Defense is his weakness, but at Bama, he would have had immediate access to far better athletes on that side of the ball than he's ever had. He wouldn't have won at Saban's level, so I'm glad it worked out the way it did, but he would've won an SEC title or two and had a chance to win a natty.

Man, everybody wants to win a Super Bowl. But the NFL ain't for everybody. From all the reports at least, it sounds like Harbaugh is learning what Saban did at Miami: Having other people involved in making decisions about your team sucks ass. As does having to deal with multimillionaire grown men as players. It's WAY better to be a god in college. But even that's beside the point - which is that Michigan just needs to WIN. If Harbaugh only sticks around for 5 years before going back to the NFL, so what? That's about as long as coaches last anywhere in college football these days. And you can bet your ass they'll be 5 awesome years. And he'll leave the program in an awesome place where any decent hire can keep it rolling. WORTH IT.

But seriously, somebody is fucking up if Michigan doesn't make a serious play for Harbaugh. It's obvious his situation in San Francisco is untenable and isn't going to last. Make him an offer he can't refuse, and there's a pretty good chance he'll jump at it. If they actually care about winning in football again, they will pay him the dollars and give him whatever else he wants. Anyone who so much as wrings their hands over it should be fired immediately. Failing that, I dunno. Maybe if LSU has another down year, the time might be right to make another pass at The Hat.

I mean, Vince Gilligan was always completely transparent that they didn't even know what they were doing episode to episode, let alone season to season, on BREAKING BAD. They never explained how Brock was poisoned in the show, and nobody gives a fuck. JUSTIFIED had no clue who Drew Thompson was when they set up that mystery that the whole season was built around.

That's not how TV shows get made.

I think the lesson of LOST was simply not to overpromise. If they hadn't gone on every media outlet and claimed that they had answers for everything, I doubt you'd have people still pissed off because they never explained who was on the outrigger or whatever. Pretty much everything they said AFTER they got ripped for the ending is what they should've been saying all along.

The actor did a fine job with what he was given, but by the end, I didn't think the writing had any grasp of who the Penguin is. The preview for the next episode had him randomly knifing dudes in a car, so I'm not sure it's getting much better.

What a terrible week of games. The only Top 25 matchup is tonight, featuring two obvious pretenders from the Pac-12. When ESPN is putting a Notre Dame game that isn't against a team from Michigan in the ABC night slot, you KNOW it's shit. The 9-game SEC schedule can't happen soon enough.

As I recall, according to one of the documentaries on the big DVD release many years back, Burton was reluctant to do the sequel, so Warner explicitly told him "don't make a Batman sequel, make a Tim Burton movie," and that's what he did.

So, GOTHAM. Whoo, boy. I'm going to give it a few episodes to see if it can figure itself out, but I was not a fan of what I saw in the pilot. They're going to have to dial back the foreshadowing by about 1000% for this to be tolerable going forward. Pretty much alll of the dialogue between Gordon and young Bruce made my teeth hurt. And I don't think I'm gonna be able to handle episode after episode of Bruce standing precariously on ledges, holding his hand over an open flame, rubbing a pencil eraser on his forearm, or whatever other banal shit they come up with.

Um...That's pretty much the consensus opinion on him these days.

Garrett Dillahunt is in, too. Because by some clerical oversight, there are still DEADWOOD alumni who haven't yet appeared on the show, and they only have 13 episodes to get that cleared up.

Just flipped over to HBO at about 7:50 ahead of BOARDWALK EMPIRE, and I can tell just by the dopey ending credits that THE SECRET LIFE OF WALTER MITTY is a piece of shit. There's just no way that movie earned a credit sequence so saccharinely sentimental.

So this turned out weird.

Whoa, I just beat the fuck out of Caius. Most of the guides say you're not supposed to be able to beat him at the point in the game I'm at, but I gave it a shot. First time out, he squashed me pretty good, but I noticed that I made a serious dent in his HP by spamming overclocks and heavy slash when I was near death. So next time up, I maxed out one of my schemas to have the highest possible strength rating and just started the fight spamming overclocks and heavy slash and it WORKED. He was finished before he even got off the Mega Flare he opens the fight with. Badical.

Well, the thing you have to keep in mind is, while 2008 doesn't seem like that long ago, it might as well be an eon ago in terms of how Hollywood views superhero movies. There was no guarantee of a sequel while they were making TDK. There was no Untitled Batman Sequel already scheduled for 2010, or Untitled Batman Spin-off set for 2011. Also, keep in mind that BEGINS was a hit, but it wasn't even one of the Top 5 movies the year it came out. No one was penciling TDK in for $500 million years in advance. Add in the fact that they took a huge gamble with an unconventional take on the Joker and a somewhat controversial choice for an actor to play him, and you've get a recipe for a lot of uncertainty. If it had underperformed, you can bet WB wouldn't have hesitated to pull Nolan off the franchise. Nolan legitimately didn't know if he'd get to make another one, so he followed the old addage of TV showrunners "don't hold anything back for next season, because you never know when you'll be canceled." He's said in subsequent interviews that if he'd known ahead of time he'd get to make another movie, he would've saved a lot of the Harvey stuff.

I FORGOT: Southern Miss beat App State for their SECOND win of the season. 21-20. On a blocked extra point. With :06 left in the game. STILL COUNTS. Might go 2-10, but that's still improvement! And if we keep doubling our win total every year, 2017 is shaping up to be a very promising season.

Bama turned the ball over 4 times, and Florida scored 3 TDs off of them. You can't do much better than that. Florida's problem right now is they're putting too much of the game on Driskel. Lesser QBs have won championships. You just can't put it all on them, which is what they're doing. When they were so successful in 2012, they were running between the tackles with power, playing opportunistic defense, and letting Driskel get in wherever he fit in. There's no reason they couldn't be doing that now (they actually have way more talent at RB than they did then). But of their 55 plays yesterday, only 16 of those ended with the ball in the RBs hands. That's not how they're going to win games.

The 2nd Ghost Rider is one of the ugliest movies I've ever seen.

I'm kinda glad FSU won. I'd rather see them taken down with Jameis playing than get cheaply knocked off without him.

I hate to use this term, but I can't think of any other that fully captures it: Jameis has gone full retard.
