  1. I'm pretty sure they have mist of the elements for single player DLC. The actors did record some new dialogue IIRC. I just think Rockstar didn't anticipate how popular online was going to be and how long it would last. There's no reason for them to spend time and money on single player content when online is still making so much money. I am surprised that they haven't pushed anything out since the election though since they like to use the game as commentary/satire about the US.
  2. The racing in The Lost and the Damned was pretty much Road Rash. I was really hoping they would have done a DLC for GTAV around the Lost, the stuff with Trevor/Johnny in the story mode really hinted towards it.
  3. I am now a daddy. Damn those first few poopy diapers are gross.
  4. You can probably just flip it on eBay. They're already going for $200+.
  5. I do them in Las Venturas using the Rhino. If you trigger the sub-mission on the freeway, most of the criminals are on the freeway or on the on/off ramps and you can use the Rhino's cannon as a turbo boost to speed around the freeway quickly.
  6. The RC planes aren't that bad unless you're playing the original PS2 version. Just don't use the gas button too much. I have a lot more hate for the Catalina missions than the Zero ones. Especially that one with the fucking ATV, which has the worst handling of pretty much any vehicle in any GTA game. At least you can skip the Zero missions if you want and you don't have Catalina yelling at you constantly.
  7. I have MGSV on my backlog pile. Are the cutscenes skipable? I have a baby on the way so I'm not gonna start something I have to watch 45 minute cutscenes on.
  8. GTA 5 is baby mode compared to the original trilogy, but the paramedic stuff is really easy if you do it in Angel Pine (small town after you get out of Los Santos at the base of Mt Chilidad). All of the pickups are within the small town limits and you can get through it in about 20 minutes.
  9. Add me into the hate for the new Hulu design. They also changed the subtitles (thin small yellow font) so that they're basically unreadable unless you're watching something letterboxed.
  10. I've been getting into Rolling Thunder lately at Dave & Buster's. Great game. I have the Genesis sequels also. I assume they had to edit Splatterhouse to get around a M rating. Did the edit the mask as well? I finished Mad Max - decent game, nothing too exciting though. Really did feel like they followed the UbiSoft formula of padding the game with a lot of side missions/collectables. Debating which game to start next, as my wife is giving birth in about 3-4 weeks and the gaming time is already pretty limited. I have mostly been playing oldschool games. The Arcade Archives on PS4 finally released some non NeoGeo stuff. Picked up The Ninja Warriors and Haunted Castle (original Castlevania) over the past week.
  11. The PS4's media player capabilities aren't good. PS3s are much better. You can either use it as a media server or play media files off of USB thumb drives.
  12. I hope they bring out some of the other Digital Pictures FMV games. Would love to have Supreme Warrior again, as that was one of the last things filmed in the Shaw Brothers "Shaw Town" backlot. Also a filter so you would have the OG terrible quality Sega CD FMV would be fun too.
  13. I forget exactly if it went to F2P or the level cap for the demo got pushed very high, but basically it's free now on PSN.
  14. Also, the PS4 controller's battery life isn't great and the sensor light in the front can be annoying if you're trying to play a game in a dimly lit room.
  15. Most of them are still working, mostly on Mainland China wuxia TV dramas, because the local Hong Kong movie industry is pretty much dead at this point.
  16. I think Starz/Retroplex has the cable rights to the Sho Kosugi Cannon ninja moves. I think they're also on Hulu.
  17. American Ninja marathon on today. Already put off going to the gym and grocery shopping to watch part 1.
  18. IIRC it is also David Chiang's birthday. FYI there is a new streaming service Tubi TV that has a pretty decent martial arts section. I watched Police Story in widescreen HD in Cantonese yesterday. The films do have ads though.
  19. I look forward to not even seeing one of these of store shelves, just like the NES Classic.
  20. We live in a time when kids on tricycles need helmets and knee/shoulder pads. No way would a day care let them use a slip n slide, that's just a lawsuit waiting to happen.
  21. I saw them last year. Not on this current tour but the same bands. Volbeat played about 40 minutes, about 30 minutes for soundcheck, Avenged Sevenfold played for about an hour, another hour or so for soundcheck, and then Metallica played for close to two hours. Not the best show I've seen them at (don't really like huge football stadium shows) but they were really good, Sounded great (as well as could be expected for a football stadium), had a lot of energy, and played a lot of deep cuts like Leper Messiah. I was going to try and see them in either Iowa or Chicago on this tour but I'm going to Iron Maiden (tonight!) and those tickets were pretty expensive plus I 'm throwing a trip to a brewery and hotel room into the mix.
  22. You can't use Spotify or the USB player with it?
  23. The game is STILL in the top 10 for sales, it literally will not die. So I don't see them stopping new content anytime soon, as long as they're still making money off of it. RDR may cause some players to leave, but TBH I don't see your average 14 year old named Smokealot420 being too excited about running around on horses and shooting people with six shooters versus having tanks and rocket launchers.
  24. By the early 80's, the Shaws weren't so concerned with the Mainland market. They started to make films more specifically for the Hong Kong and international (western) markets and that's when you saw a lot more exploitation elements, because HK people thought that the old school Mandarin drama heavy kung fu movies were pretty corny. Hong Kong actually didn't have a formal movie rating system until the late 1980s, after politicians felt pressure from parents who were concerned that their kids were imitating gangsters like Chow Yun Fat in A Better Tomorrow.
