  1. The PS Mini can run RetroArch and can easily take USB thumb drives with no extra adapters, and you can get them in stores for $20. SNES/NES Minis are not being made any more, so they are usually more expensive on eBay/Amazon.
  2. I have a modded SNES with PS1, PSP, Sega CD, and Turbo CD games on it. It takes more work than cartridge based games because you have to get an adapter that you can plug in the back so you can use a USB thumb drive (the default storage) is only about 250 - 300 MB depending what cores you are adding) and you have to edit the bin files. But it works pretty well once you learn how to do it. I found the PS Mini even easier than the NES/SNES Classics. I have about 200 games on mine (just PS1 games -haven't done RetroArch on it yet). A lot of it comes to what USB thumb drive you're using. Sandisk works the best by far and it seems to crap out if you go past 128 GB.
  3. There are kind of RPG lite aspects to the game. You have several skills such as driving that will improve as you go through the game. Also Franklin has a special ability where he can do bullet time and slow down. It's necessary to use at least for the first part of the game until your skill goes up. The game autosaves before/after missions and IIRC you can quick save using the phone or it autosaves if you quit to the main menu. 200 games isn't a whole lot for a modded SNES Classic. I have ones with 800 - 1100 games on them from multiple systems. Check out Patton Plays on YouTube if you want to learn how to add more.
  4. How is the arcade you can buy? Are there games you can play in it?
  5. I'm late to listening to it, but Artie Lange was on Gilbert's podcast a week or two ago and it's fantastic. I was almost crying from laughing.
  6. I think she gets her video game stuff as review copies, she writes for Japanese magazines.
  7. I don't think so, he's been being a douche on SNL as well, like he refused to go to the makeup chair so he looked like shit. He also left one of his stand up shows because the host mentioned Ariana Grande.
  8. I've had them before. They actually taste kind of fishy like a sardine. It wasn't bad with a little hot sauce on them. They were fried pretty well so there wasn't the gooey texture you would expect from eating a bug. About the only food I've said a hard no to is balut, which my Filipino in laws tried to get me to eat. Chicken feet are also pretty nasty. Trying those once at dim sum was more than enough for me.
  9. I liked Far Cry 5 and the followup New Dawn is fun also. Make sure to try out the Arcade levels, there's some really good ones on there.
  10. I feel ya, thankfully we have a cheap pizza chain around here called $5 Pizza that is decent that my house uses when we have younger relative visiting.
  11. Little Caesar's has always been garbage. We used to call it "Little Skeezer's" back in the 80s. I'd rather have a cheap frozen pizza like Jack's or Totino's rather than Little Caesar's because at least I know it will be cooked and it doesn't taste like total ass.
  12. There's a lot of shit tier people like MetalJesus who are doing it just for the clicks and to drive up prices on eBay. But she's genuinely a fan of oldschool games, which makes her videos/posts a lot more fun. She has a lot of love for the PC Engine and Iron Maiden.
  13. Her Twitter is a good follow if you like oldschool games.
  14. I don't listen to Gilbert's podcast much anymore, but that episode was really good.
  15. I started listening to this a few weeks ago and like it. The hosts thankfully don't have the snark that you might expect given the subject, they actually end up liking some of the games they play though like Night Trap. And bringing up Dreamcast with no mention of PSO???
  16. She's apparently going to be hosting a reboot of Supermarket Sweep.
  17. FYI the movies aren't subtitled. That being said, there's some good ones in the list. I highly recommend Hong Kong Godfather. Beardy Leung being his most badass.
  18. The Flight School isn't all that bad. I actually did it on an iPhone using touch controls. Toreno's mission "S.A.M." where you have to fly to/from the base super low to avoid the radar is one of the worst in the game, though. For the Vigilante missions, you can steal a Rhino from the army bases and then store it at the airstrip's garage. The highways around Las Venturas are an good place to spawn the missions and you can turn the cannon around and use it as a speed booster.
  19. EA Access is on PS4 now, anyone try this out? Kind of interested in it because of the sports games, which I tend to lose interest in pretty quickly.
  20. Eh, I thought it was way easier than NES/SNES. But you are right about it being finicky about the brand of USB stick. I found that Sandisk 64GB by far works the best.
  21. Revenge has more features and a bigger roster. FYI Target has the PS Classic for $20 this week. It's worth that for just the controllers and it is easily "hackable" to add a ton more games.
  22. I think they would probably follow some sort of F2P model where you get X dollars per day. If you can gambleusing Shark Cards, that's opening a shit show. Which it probably will be anyway, since you could easily have a group of friends playing and throwing games so one person could make a lot of money and then distribute it to the group. @Raziel I would stick to solo sessions and/or spawn out in Sandy Shores and then do solo missions. It's been a while since I played, but there were a few missions that had good payouts for a few minutes of work, especially on 2X $ and RP weekends.

  24. PES is a solid soccer game. Not as many bells and whistles and the graphics aren't as good as FIFA, but it plays better IMO. I'm kind of surprised they are putting it on PS+ since they already have a F2P version out that you can get quite a bit out of without paying for anything.
  25. Dungeon Explorer is pretty good. Basically a Gauntlet clone but a little deeper and more character options. Really great soundtrack. Ninja Spirit is really fun, it's one of my favorite TG16 games. It gets nuts when you have you character fully powered up with multiple ghosts and weapons. I really like Alien Crush, even though it's not as good as Devil's Crush. I like the Giger-esque design and the soundtrack is another good one. I'm sure this is going to be as easy to mod as other minis, so you'll be able to throw on whatever games you want.
