  1. This is why I think that Bryan-Punk will main event Mania next year. Story tells itself, and Punk acting as a jealous bastard will be normal to him (and I love the guy).
  2. Sucks to see Fulham go down, as they always been good to U.S. players. I was hoping that getting Holtby would shore up their midfield and that Mitroglou (a colossal bust) could put enough goals away to keep them up, Hopefully their younger guys in the pipeline can step up and get them back into the top division.
  3. The Carlito gimmick was awesome and should have led to a long run in the upper card. A shame that the guy behind it did not give two damns and never allowed it to flourish. Given that it was almost a decade ago when Carlito was introduced, and there was about 12 years between Razor and Carlito, I would not mind if someone else got that gimmick again.
  4. Always a personal favorite http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5xokm_wcw-chambers-of-horrors-match-stupi_sport
  5. Boston in 6 NY Rangers in 7 Chicago in 6 Anaheim in 7 1. 2 2. Over 3. 8
  6. I agree that Mad Men has gone on about two seasons too long, and it sucks to see this version of Don. Had hoped that he would make a triumphant comeback this season, but Don is now a sad shell of his former self. It may be more realistic, but I am perfectly willing to suspend disbelief and Don would Hulk up to his old self. It does not help the show that Breaking Bad ended at the right time and all good shows will now be compared to the great final run of BB.
  7. St. Louis's best season in over a decade and it ends in the first round. Things are very right with the world.
  8. Classless players have classless fans. If there is anything people from St. Louis can preach about, it is certainly class.
  9. How about a Seabrook game and series clinching winning goal on Sunday? I think that would be the perfect conclusion in sending the Blues back home where they belong.
  10. Because everyone not from or living in Raleigh realizes that the Carolina Hurricanes should be the Hartford Whalers. I hope/expect that mistake to eventually be rectified.
  11. You're going to hell. If we can choose mythological places, I'll take Atlantis instead.
  12. Just watched the replay three more times, and stand by every damn thing I say. Only reason people think it's dirty is that Backes was not expecting to be hit. However, that is not Seabrook's fault that the guy made himself vulnerable in open ice. It was not even called a penalty until they saw Backes stumbling around, and then the refs overreacted like typical NHL where results trump intent/actual action. Of course, most people here do not recognize how good Eddie Olyczk is, so they will dismiss his point about no penalty being called initially as well. Just hope that justice is served and this fires the Hawks up to bring the Cup back home.
  13. Or absolutely none of that. Seabrook was simply going for a hard hit, leading legally with the shoulder. Shame the dude ended up knocked silly, but that happens sometimes in hockey.
  14. Seabrook never left his feet, did not hit him from behind or along the boards, and only injured Backes cause he lowered his head bracing for the hit. It was a hard, clean hit that only went bad cause the dude ducked his head at the end.
  15. Nice to see Brent Seabrook essentially miss four games on maybe a two-minute penalty because Backes lowered his head at the very end. Fuck the NHL and Gary Bettman.
  16. Funny, I think Batista is showing signs of being an actual force in the ring again and not a creepy grandpa in skinny jeans. Yes, Sheamus is very good in the ring and almost always money in hoss vs. hoss matches, but Batista kept up the pace and looked like an actual main eventer. And hell, if we're going full force with Evolution for a minute, Sheamus should be the fourth guy. It would further deplete the face roster, but Sheamus is a perfect future Daniel Bryan opponent and needs a fresh turn anyway.
  17. I did just watch '88 again and it is a fun match. I still prefer 1990, but I will take Matt D's advice and nominate 1988 http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6y9tf_hart-foundation-vs-demolition-summe_sport
  18. My nomination is Hart Foundation vs. Demolition SummerSlam '90 http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x4026w_demolition-vs-hart-foundation-tag-t_sport http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x402i0_demolition-vs-hart-foundation-tag-t_sport After almost three years between title reigns, the Harts are back against the team they lost to at SummerSlam two years ago. Demolition has just added a third member, and have held the belt for the better part of the last two and a half years. The Harts lose the first fall, then battle back to win the bout. I may be a bit biased here as a huge Bret Hart fan, but I have always loved this match.
  19. West Colorado in 7 Chicago in 6 Anaheim in 7 San Jose in 6 East Boston in 7 New York Rangers in 6 Pittsburgh in 6 Montreal in 6 Bonus 1. 4 2. 8 3. 14 Five Point Bonus: Boston
  20. It's the new Kofi vs Miz. They should be through with running it weekly, one variation or another, some time in June. I am going to channel my inner Gregg, but I actually think that the "funny" Cena promo is a futile attempt to not succumb to Bray's powers. Even after winning at Mania, he cannot escape Bray's power over him and is desperately clinging to past tendencies. Bray was not fazed, and now will expose Cena's inner monster and show him that he cannot be the same monster as Bray.
  21. I enjoyed the Dolph-Barrett match, and hope that Dolph eventually gets another IC/US title run. Also, I am loving the Cesaro-Heyman pair and think they work brilliantly off each other so far. I do believe that the Evolution reunion works very well for the storyline, as HHH (the character) desperately tries to rely on the past in trying to hold down the present. Not an off the charts memorable Raw, but it works well in continuing to push the key stories.
  22. Glad I found this, as I have to recommend the Wrestle War '91 match I referenced last night http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x17qfvc_lex-luger-vs-dangerous-dan-spivey-wcw-united-title-part-1_sport http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x17qfxe_lex-luger-vs-dangerous-dan-spivey-wcw-united-title-part-2_sport
  23. In WWE I liked the Tatanka KOTR '93 match, the Yoko Mania match, the Tatanka SummerSlam Match, the Allied Powers vs. Yoko/Owen tag, and a random IC title match against Diesel. In his second WCW run I enjoyed the Savage match at World War 3, the match against Johnny B. Badd where he won the TV title, the Outsiders tag at Hog Wild, the match he won the title against Hogan on Nitro, the triangle match at Starrcade '95, and a good number of other tags with both Sting and The Giant as partners. He was not quite as motivated post 1992, but still a good worker and strong character much of the time.
