  1. I just watched B:BATB Music Meister episode last night. SO GOOD! Anyone who doesn't like that episode should be locked away from the rest of humanity.
  2. What more did Brown want the agent to do? Drive him to OTAs? The man got you a sweet bonus and at $2 million, best believe most of us wouldn't have to be reminded of that. I know he fired the agent, but he's going to have take that bullet himself. What a maroon.
  3. And I just saw on another board that there were no major NBA/NFL names on the Biogenesis list, to JR's point. No one is so naive as to think no one in the NBA takes PEDs, Could just be they're smarter/more self-aware on how to do it
  4. I don't wear those at all. I don't dress casually, I'm afraid.
  5. SUPER BOWL FREAKIN' XLI!!! *does Snoopy happy dance*
  6. J.T. kills dreams and maims hope. He drowns inspiration in the rivers and flings its limp body into oceans. No heart beats as loudly as when it feels J.T.'s cold presence close to it. In other words, IT WAS REAL TO ME!
  7. Yeah, if he's really ahead of schedule, I can see Kobe coming back--AND IT WILL BE A CHRISTMAS MIRACLE! (throws paper snowflakes in the air) It'd be pretty funny if LeBron turned Scrooge/Grinch to Kobe's Tiny Tim Cratchit/Cindy Lou Who and stole his crutch/candy cane.
  8. Because both football and basketball understand that if they don't talk about it, the public at large won't think about it and therefore, assume that there's no problem. It bypasses the issue easily and effectively. I'm not really talking about them. I read an article about how there are supposedly NBA names on the list. What's preventing those names from being released like the baseball players were? That's my question. Hmmm. If that's true, I don't know. Personally, I get the impression that 1.) there aren't as many NBA guys on the juice as many may think and 2.) the ones that are know to complete their cycles during the off-season. That doesn't really answer your question, though, just my two cents on the topic as it relates to the NBA.
  9. I understand putting the Lakers on TV for Christmas, with them being in the #2 American media market and all, but to waste one of Miami's TV appearances in a game like that is silly. Lakers/Warriors would make more sense, but I'm guessing the Clippers have the late PM/Pacific Time game, meaning the Lakers need to play mid-afternoon. What are the Bucks doing on December 25?
  10. Because both football and basketball understand that if they don't talk about it, the public at large won't think about it and therefore, assume that there's no problem. It bypasses the issue easily and effectively.
  11. I suppose they could do like the NCAA and retract wins in which a PED-using player participated, but what would that matter to some cellar dweller? Teams can always go to the "We didn't know" defense on this. So fines wouldn't be of much use. How can they be enforced, really. Perhaps the best way to dole out punishment is to allow teams to cut players, but the player's salary would go against the team's self-determined cap. Which is sort of like a fine, but actually hurts more (in my head, anyway).
  12. You know, you can get invested in seeing how far they will travel. Tiffany is a boss, and Nikita needs training wheels.
  13. They're determined to get A-Rod out of baseball, no matter the means, no matter how sketchy. I can almost see Brian Cashman and the Steinbrenners prodding Selig to drop the hammer.
  14. A-Rod is better than any soap opera on TV. Million-dollar contracts! Suspensions! Injuries! Quack doctors! His fellow players turning against him! They ought to sell the rights to this story and broadcast it in primetime. It'd be NBC's #1 show after Sunday Night Football.
  15. Mike Miller appears to be returning to the Grizzlies.
  16. James Lipton, if memory serves?
  17. I'm liking the Walking Deadman shirt, but I can't justify buying it. I don't wear t-shirts enough to get into them, I'm afraid.
  18. It would be interesting to see how the players' union would handle the case, if A-Rod pushed it. I doubt they'd want to help him, but it would be in their interest to do so to protect their power. Players screaming to throw him out of the league would have to think about much that could weaking their union, if it comes to that.
  19. Grandpa Huxtable as Panthro still makes me scratch my head.
  20. I actually understand Bonds' motivation. I think seeing McGwire and Sosa get all the attention in 1998 drove Bonds batty, and he became determined to prove how he was the best player in the game. Of course, had he stopped to think about it for five seconds, Bonds would have realized that the public already saw him as that. Because he was, and he didn't need a needle of horse urine to make it happen. A-Rod is another ball of wax. I think he's just incredibly vain and needy. He has to be preening in front of us, even when we're throwing rotten poultices at him. At least he knows we care in some fashion. But if he's banned for life, A-Rod would have to find another way to draw our attention. And he would. Because his psyche won't allow for anything else.
  21. Your wife was clearly punishing you for something.
  22. While ignoring that little war that went down some 237+ years ago that means we don't have to care about such things. *slaps forehead*
  23. Hopefully, as quite a few NBA players ahve gone broke on that much money. . . True. I still don't understand how Antoine Walker and Allen Iverson blew through all their money. On second thought--I do know, and that's even scarier.
