  1. They did the handcuff stip in Texas a few times through different promotions...USWA, Gary Hart's TWA, and I think maybe even Global. I believe they called it a "Thunderdome Cage Match," as opposed to a ThunderDoom, since there was no Ron Simmons or Butch Reed around.
  2. Rock vs. Brock, Summerslam 2002 "Pure Sports Build" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PjnjkK0QavA
  3. I think they've done both shows from the beginning. (We didn't get here until early January, so we've missed most of it.) From what I can see from episode guides, they're on season 11 of Knots Landing and season 13 of Dallas. J.R. Ewing might be was the greatest character in television history. Fixed that for you. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GZV3365a7Ew
  4. I'd always love the potshots Gorilla would take on commentary when the agents would come out to break up a skirmish or post-match shenanigans..."Is that Pat Patterson, former Intercontinental Champion? Holy cow, did he GET FAT!"
  5. Watching WCCW 3/7/83...why did they bring in Jake Roberts for a one-shot deal to put him under a hood as the Texan? And...have him go over Bill Irwin who was still going to be in the territory?!? Aargh. Then Jake hit the knee lift and the crowd came unglued.
  6. Watch it, or the Ravishing One will come back for the grave to avenge the name of our God. (with a joint, perhaps)
  7. Good Lord, I miss Gorilla so bad...he was awesome.
  8. WOW. I NEVER KNEW HE DID THAT. Edit, found this on MA Gateway: "The change was in Greensboro on Thanksgiving 1980, but believe it or not, in most of the towns for about a week after we won the belts…people didn’t want me to take the mask off. They didn’t want to know what I looked like. There was a lot of mystery behind it…people could see my eyes and use their imaginations beyond that. I did take the mask off, but I put it right back on…very few people saw who I was. It didn’t really affect anything. A lot of people around ringside told me they didn’t even look. But there again, I made a promise to the fans in a number of towns that I would take my mask off win or lose. If I wouldn’t have followed through and done it, they would have never believed me after that. Afterward, I often got asked why I unmasked and my response was that I promised the people that I’d do it, and I think that always stuck in their minds."
  9. A Vince reality show is something I would want to see. The Bruce Prichard shoot that just came out has a couple of stories that almost humanizes Vince with his $1,000 haircuts in New York City and feeling the need to go bar/restaurant hopping around Times Square because he wanted to visit the old haunts of back when his dad ran the Garden and their afterparties.
  10. Pillman/Budro opened Bash 90...not Southern Boys/Midnights.
  11. If it's just to slap her ass as she's walking away, it would be totally worth it. Well that settles it, I'm watching the HOF live on the Network just hoping this happens. Woohyah!
  12. I too, am a fan of the Kip Frey era in WCW. Dangerous Alliance firing on all cylinders, Sting as the top dog, Steiners throwing huge dudes in suplexes, Rude and Steamboat...and even random mid-card matches with great effort all around. Shame it didn't last longer.
  13. Former AWA wrestler and WWE enhancement talent Buck “Rock & Roll” Zumhofe was found guilty of six counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct and six counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct in Minnesota yesterday, for molesting his daughter. Zumhofe will be sentenced today. Reports are that he tried to run from the courtroom when the verdict was read but police tackled him.
  14. Yep, with Rick holding one on his shoulders while Scott climbed out.
  15. If there will ever be an actual, physical location for the Hall, that urn is going on display like Andre's boots.
  16. #1 Mugshot #2 TINEE WANGERS! #3 Laughing about said wangers...or Luger's punches.
  17. That's an interesting one...my take on it... There would be no 'committee' with 8 people (most of whom were on-air talent) on it. Sting would still be pushed as the babyface of all babyfaces. Paul Orndorff & Stan Hansen would have been hired sooner, and Terry Gordy & Ricky Steamboat would not have left after short spells. Bam Bam Bigelow would have had a longer run, as a heel. All 'inflated contract salaries' would cease to exist...it would have been performance driven. Dusty might not have jumped to WWF, he and Watts always got along I thought. Matsuda's group would never happen. Varsity Club vs. Steiners would probably be more towards the top. Great Muta would have probably had the same impact in 89. Luger would probably not be a 4 time US Champ, and would leave for the WWF to feud with Hulk Hogan.
  18. Watching the WM Rewind for WM III. I wore out my old CHV as a kid, and I've seen the main event a hundred times or more, and it was only today that I noticed just how much trash and debris was thrown into the ring for the intros and first part of the match. Poor Joey Marella. I love this network! Edit: If I NEVER hear Stephanie say "My friend, Andre The Giant" anymore, it will still be too soon. Yeegads. Revolting.
  19. Watching the one from Jan 98...Michaels was on fire trolling Taker fans the night after the casket match.
  20. You mean that tainted win because of the inexperienced Sumo ref that cost them the match?
