  1. I've been listening to "Word Crimes" over and over and I hope his video has the same women from Robin Thicke's video dressed as schoolteachers. It's an easy slam dunk there.
  2. You summed up why I hated this game. I'm not looking to Platinum'ing this at all. Demon's Souls and Shadows of the Damned's Platinum runs were/are better than this. Hell, I'll play Jak II again.
  3. And while we're on Justin Ross Harris, fuck her wife too ("thanks I already did" sez the peanut gallery). The freakozoid woman upon seeing her husband after his dumbass gets arrested asks him, "Did you say too much?" (OK, if you have to ask that, you obviously have something to do with it) and says she wouldn't 'bring her son back, even if she could' not to mention every reaction she had in response to her son's death was/is the opposite of normal. And she's nonplussed that her husband was sexting which a normal woman would have kicked his douchenozzle crappy dispatcher who lucked into a real job ass out. But they are made for each other, so they'll both be in prison.
  4. They won't, trust me. But the ending will make you want to smash the game with a hammer.
  5. And Tony Gwynn died. If that doesn't make me want to leave San Diego for somewhere else, I don't know what will.
  6. Fuck you Justin Ross Harris. First you leave your son to die in a hot car while claiming to have 'forgotten about him' then you did 'sexting' to women the day he died, you looked online for 'how long it takes for a child to die in a car' and asked about cashing in your son's life insurance and your stupid cop ass managed to luck into an IT position that many serious IT professionals would have wanted. And you would think him in such a role would cause him to realize that you don't look up that information at work, especially if you're about to commit a crime. Also, you had a lot of my Facebook friends convinced you did nothing wrong when I could tell from looking at him that he was/is a complete douchebag. It always pisses me off that former members of law enforcement get to work in IT when many of them can barely power on a computer nor have the actual computer skills to handle the job.
  7. Word of caution about Sacred 2 Gold on PC: It will install but not run.
  8. I ended up buying a lot on Steam & GOG during the sales -- off the top of my head, I got on GOG, Phantasmagoria 1 & 2, Empire Earth, Master of Magic, Master of Orion 1 & 2, SimCity 2000, BioForge, and Anvil of Dawn along with various free games (like Omerta, Torchlight & MagRunner). On Steam, it was a lot of course. The highlights for me were Age of Mythology, Company of Heroes 2, Goat Simulator, Nidhogg, Baldur's Gate II Enhanced Edition, One Way Heroics, Payday 2, and Age of Wonders 1 & 2.
  9. If you need the Supreme Court to confirm your beliefs, perhaps they weren't very strong to begin with. There's a phrase that my dad uses: "Jesus wouldn't be a very good politician." I just know that I will have to be wary when I walk into any business owned by a person of Arab descent because I could be refused service due to 'religious beliefs.'
  10. Keep in mind with Dead Space 3 that it is nothing like Dead Space 1 and 2. BTW, you probably need to play Dead Space 1 first. It seriously is one of the best games I've seen from PS3/360 gen. It's basically RE4 in space. Go.
  11. Wait what...you had me at "Fire Emblem" and "TRPG." Must have it now.
  12. It's OK. I also have bought a Wii U. The reason? Friggin' Wonderful 101 & Zelda: Wind Waker HD.
  13. GOG did the smart thing by having a summer sale at the same time as Steam's. Although I bought about 9 things on Steam (including Beyond Divinity & Divine Divinity, Payday 2, Van Helsing II and Unepic), I sorta feel 'done' with the sale this year. Unless Starbound shows up as a daily deal.
  14. There are at least a few other games I'm more excited for than R6: Siege. I still want Patriots damnit.
  15. Oh, damn. Goodbye, expendable funds. Nothing for me today in the Steam sales. Freespace maybe, but I wish Descent II & III were on 75% off.
  16. I would be interested if you have a PS3 copy. I'm no longer XBL member (and I never will renew).
  17. I played this by myself and I'm not really sure I'll get Destiny. Unless it's to hear a very bored Peter Dinklage.
  18. I'm cautiously optimistic about Rainbow Six: Siege. It looks really great, but given how multiplayer communities for games dry up very quickly, I hope that Ubisoft has part of the focus be on the single player campaign too or at least allow vs AI bots for multiplayer too. Otherwise, if it's like most multiplayer games I've played where there are trolls ruining the experience, people not paying attention, playing music over their headsets, arguing with someone in the room about going to work, etc., it's going to be a long game. EDIT: I also was pleasantly surprised by Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. There were lots of little bits that didn't feel like Call of Duty, but felt like other games such as Killzone: Shadowfall
  19. I somehow got that the first time I played online. I ended up boosting the rest with a group from various trophy tracking sites. What's weird is I'm turning more into a trophy hunter. Why? Games aren't getting better necessarily and it's better economically for me to do that. Next-gen games seem to be very similar to games that came out in 2013 (and 2014) -- look at what's coming to PS4: GTAV, TLOU and Tomb Raider earlier this year. I wouldn't be surprised if a Beyond Two Souls PS4 Edition was coming and a 'director's cut' version of BioShock Infinite was coming too. Most of the truly next-gen games are coming in 2015 (at the earliest). I still will play games without trophy support (like Folklore, Valkyria Chronicles, R&C Tools of Destruction, Heavenly Sword, Genji, etc.) The problem is if you stay up for hours at nights/weekends doing it, you feel more tired during the day (like I do).
  20. For those who haven't gotten the online trophies for GTAIV (which I hadn't until recently), Rockstar's recent patch removes Gamespy's online leaderboards. The problem? You can no longer obtain "Cut Your Teeth" or "Wanted" trophies. You'll earn cash, but it will not level up. I'm so glad I got all the online trophies for GTAIV earlier in the month, but that's such a bummer. I guess I need to do GTAV's online trophies too....
  21. I got a really strong Raoul Silva vibe from the villain in Far Cry 4. I kept waiting for him to tell the main character about his grandmother owning a mountain. And The Division is even more foreboding than The Last Of Us somehow. I just hope Ubisoft doesn't screw it up. I'd rather it be a single player game than have tacked-on multiplayer. Maybe just have it be a co-op campaign.
  22. Dude, those were masterpieces. That's pretty much like saying, "Why don't wrestlers just be as good as Ric Flair?" Those things don't come around often. And obviously this console cycle isn't as much of a drastic step-up as other console cycles have been, so those days of being knocked on your ass like Halo and Gears did are pretty much through. But Microsoft did exactly the opposite of what they did last year: they showed games wall-to-wall. Just games, games, games. I'm sorry more of them didn't appeal to your tastes. I guess I shouldn't be that hard on them and you're right -- none of them appealed to my tastes. But neither did Sony's games either. I guess I'm going to be playing PS3/360 games for a long time with the occasional PS4 game (like Destiny, LBP3 and Uncharted 4) thrown in.
  23. I've watched a few of the trailers afterwards (been at work all day yesterday) and there are very few that excited me enough to want to play/get them. LittleBigPlanet 3, Sunset Overdrive, and Ori & The Blind Forest excite me....just not enough to get a Xbox One or to get LBP3 on day 1. I would want to play Sunset Overdrive because it actually looks like fun and like the next generation in Ratchet & Clank gameplay but with multiplayer too that may work. I'm pretty much disgusted with Microsoft. This is their chance to show something completely new and different that defines the Xbox One (much like Halo defined the OG Xbox and Gears defined Xbox 360). Instead, they are re-releasing Halo 1 - 4 for Xbox One -- if it ain't broke, don't fix it, but with Halo 2's campaign, it was broken at the start. Sony really didn't have to do anything to win (or not lose). I realize that it is very early in the current gen to make any judgments but both companies need to switch things up. Having more realism isn't the answer -- having better gameplay is. And I think it's over for The Last Guardian and Agent. They are never coming out. Also, Mortal Kombat X, R6 Siege (I still want Patriots damnit!) and Rise of the Tomb Raider don't excite me one bit.
  24. I would love to see Nintendo announce Majora's Mask 3D for the 3DS. I'd also love a remake/complete version of Oracle of Ages/Seasons with the missing third part.
  25. A little more of a balanced list but again I don't think the #1 pick is the GOTG. Especially since if it weren't for the game at #14 and its success, the #1 pick wouldn't exist. To me, the game at #15 should be GOTG since every game after it is described as "_____"-like.
