  1. Anyone remember short lived WWECW ring announcer Lauren Mayhew? I loved her announcing because she had her own cadence and she's been the only ring announcer they've had in the last 20 years that wasn't doing a bad Howard Finkel impersonation. Plus she always announced the champ as your ECW Champion instead of the ECW Champion which I love.
  2. It's depressing to think about how even with the injuries, how much better this Wrestlemania could have been with better booking. After the Rollins injury, turn Roman heel, have him become the new Corporate Champ, screwing Ambrose in the finals of the tournament for the vacant title at last year's Survivor Series. This leads to Ambrose winning the Rumble and getting this rematch against his former friend. Instead of running Taker vs. Lesnar III at last year's Hell in a Cell, save it for Mania. Have Shane face Triple H for control of the company, the guy that actually took his spot as heir to the throne. Make the giant mess of a ladder match the US Title match, and give Owens and Sami a one-on-one match for the IC Title.
  3. Owens is going to wrestle Big Show and we're going to like it. Or not. Probably not. I'd be more interested in seeing Owens/Adam Bomb, personally. There's nobody I'd rather see Owens wrestle less than Big Show; perhaps not even Kane. Fortunately, Kane seems destined for the Andre midcarder battle royal. As if the card wasn't shaping up to be enough of a wet end, I get the sinking feeling Ryback is going to be winning the battle royale. Fortunately winning it has prompted the previous winners to go absolutely nowhere. If WWE actually wanted to make the Andre Battle Royal mean something they should have Big Show win it two or three years in a row so when it comes down to the Big Show and somebody and the other guy actually tosses him out it would be a big deal.
  4. Went to the Green Bay show last night, it's been awhile since I've had that much fun at a wrestling show. They changed up the card quite a bit from the Milwaukee show, our main event was Finn vs. Sami, which was amazing.
  5. Alexa, Peyton, Nia and Eva Marie are all on the trip. Looks like Sami is on the trip too, even though he wasn't advertised. That makes up for the lack of Jordan/Gable and Asuka.
  6. Ugh, that sucks, I'm going to that show and Jordan & Gable were one of the teams I was looking forward to see most. Another tweet from him says he won't be in Chicago either. It's odd, since they're mentioned the press release as being there, at least the Green Bay one at least.
  7. Well I suppose the fact that I'm considering spending $1,500 to spend the day in NXT probably says I'm not totally normal, but point taken. Usually the first thought I have when I go to a show and look around the crowd is "This is why people look at me funny when I tell them I'm a wrestling fan."
  8. I'm strongly considering doing the Performance Center All-Access Experience. Not only because it sounds like it would be an amazing experience, but also it's the day before the Royal Rumble, which is also in Orlando, and seeing the Rumble live is also a bucket list item. Plus it's an excuse to get out of the Wisconsin winter and spend a January weekend in Florida. That said, the price tag is ridiculous. With air and hotel I'd be dropping over $2000, not sure if I'd be having buyer's remorse. Anyone hear anything about or actually go do the first one they did?
  9. They should do an actual Survivor Series tournament. 4 or 5 elimination tag matches with the survivors all advancing to a battle royal or a multiman ladder match.
  10. At the time I also hated it, but after seeing how the main event turned out, I could see it as the spark the New Day needed to become a more serious, vicious team. We'll see where they go with it, and I have zero faith that the WWE won't screw it up, but I really loved what they did in the main event, and the New Day as a dominant, heel main event stable could be awesome.
  11. That level is evil. But I'm the first person to have beaten it.Well, second, since you had to beat it to post it. But I'm the one in 55 and one. You make good levels, dude. I also enjoyed Pow! Right In The Kisser. Finally figured out the trick to this one after a ton of tries. Very nice level, evil but satisfying once you figure it out.
  12. My first attempt at a level. Tried to make it difficult but not impossible. 5B1E-0000-008C-952C
  13. The problem with Heel Cole was he didn't know how to get the talent over while maintaining his character. Cole was getting himself over at the expense of the talent in the ring, which is the exact opposite of what should be happening. I remember one instance when the Hart Dynasty were the Tag Champs and sitting in on commentary and totally bombing. Instead of throwing them a rope like a talented commentator would have done Cole used it to get himself over and just went on and on about how terrible they were.
  14. Really interesting strategy by putting the main event angle during halftime of the football game and even promoting that it will happen during halftime. Then closing the show with Henry/Rusev when the football game will be in the fourth quarter. Wonder if that will continue throughout the football season.
  15. Too bad we're no longer in the Attitude Era, a Naked Rosa gimmick would be a lot nicer to watch than Naked Mideon, plus I'd actually look forward to her matches no matter how bad they are.
  16. It's Lord Alfred Hayes, it's from the Invasion of the Bodyslammers Coliseum Video.
  17. If you don't care about outdated rosters, try to find the Bigs or the Bigs 2, fun as hell and pure arcade.
  18. There's a battle royal on RAW in the fall of '93 to crown a new IC Champ that's pretty great.
  19. The first seven Summerslams were all on Monday nights. The first Summerslam on a Sunday wasn't until 1995 when they expanded to monthly PPVs and moved them all to Sunday.
  20. Every single Clash is now up. I thought maybe they'd do a slow roll out,but they're all there.
  21. If you click on the Clash I link on the schedule it takes you to the "not available on demand until after it premieres" message. But the video is up: http://network.wwe.com/video/v32286157
  22. I went to a Raw House Show in the summer of 2003, this was after Austin retired from wrestling but was the Raw Co-GM. He and Jericho did a Highlight Reel segment and it was pretty clear the whole thing was just them trying to get the other to laugh. Jericho won after stealing Austin's catchphrase and doing multiple "If you want to see Chris Jericho and Stone Cold share a beer give me a " followed by goofy phrases, and the crowd was with him on each one. Austin was just guffawing and hiding it badly by putting his arm over his face. By far the most entertaining thing on the show.
  23. That wasn't Arn's last match, I went to a Saturday Night taping in January 1997 and remember Arn wrestling. Looking at thehistoryofwwe.com, Arn's last match was teaming with Steve McMichael against the Amazing French Canadians on the 1/27 Nitro. I actually saw Arn's second to last match in person, didn't realize that. Looking further down in the results mentions Flair saying in an interview that Arn would be back wrestling after his surgery, so I'm guessing everyone was expecting him to come back.
  24. Vader actually turned face in 1995 right before leaving WCW. He was scheduled to be on Hogan's team for War Games.
  25. Which is kind of funny, because in Jericho's second book he said Vince ripped him a new one after that Armageddon match, basically telling him he was the drizzling shits and that if he couldn't have a good match with X-Pac on the following Raw he was pretty much going to be out the door.
