  1. Very sad, he seemed like such a good, gentle guy.
  2. I believe that it was Patterson with the "boys need their candy" line.
  3. Don't know if you have gotten this far yet, but Poussey's backstory involves a lot of German dialogue.
  4. There were no subtitles, not in any of the back stories with Spanish dialogue, nor in the one with German dialogue.
  5. The thing I hated most about it was how it made Cersei happy.
  6. Reg Cathey. One of my favorite character actors, I always enjoy him every time he turns up. Love his voice, like a baritone sax.
  7. Dear God in heaven, Bob Benson's suit.
  8. Realizing years later that the military school commandant in The Ref was played by a young(er) JK Simmons.
  9. Glad to see him back. I was worried we might get a more protracted self-destruct sequence from Don before the big comeback but thankfully that is done with for now.
  10. That episode was the start of one of my favorite recurring gags, "everyone finds Captain Holt hilarious except the members of his precinct".
  11. Hoskins was excellent as a stone cold bastard in Hollywoodland.
  12. Didn't Don screw something up with Jaguar, which was the account where Joan had to sleep with that one guy for SCDP to land it (in exchange, she got a piece of the firm and a voting stake)? Ahh, that's it. You are right. I had forgotten that too, I always had the impression that Don was one of the few people who showed respect to Joan as a professional but I can see how she could nurse a grudge for that. In spite of her comments in this episode, I can see Peggy later teaming up with Don, united in their hatred of Lou Avery.
  13. Winner. Fuck all of the arguments for Life as a House and that one other movie about a newspaper, or whatever the fuck it was. Hayden is beyond lame. Shattered Glass. Great movie, Christensen was great in it.
  14. Phillip Baker Hall as the IRS agent in Say Anything, Don't know how many times I watched that movie before it clicked.
  15. Am I alone in that I can't stand the Lou Avery character? If they are putting him in as a placeholder to make people wish for Don Draper to come back to the agency, they are being very transparent about it.
  16. For me , the Andy Samberg character works as the guy who thinks he is funny. The humor comes from other characters not finding him as hilarious as he thinks he is.
  17. Well, he and Carell were a part of the troupe for the Dana Carvey show.
  18. The more I think about it, the ultimate conclusion of the series makes sense. But emotionally, I still feel ripped off .. as has been said before, they made both the Wedding and The Mother seem to be important to the story, and in the end they were just an afterthought to be discarded.
  19. Who was it who called that first? Because it sure wasn't me.
  20. That really pissed me off, I knew what was going on but my wife didn't and it was spoiled for her. Last commercial I saw pretty much gave it away.
