  1. I had a event resume from where I left off this morning which I found both shocking and thrilling. The Network is slowly getting better and better.
  2. You guys wanted more 2002 Confidential well they are playing a feature on Lita and her love of animals. The WWE is doing a great job pulling random matches, features and angles as time fillers between shows.
  3. Ran across this trying to find out what was in the update that just downloaded to my PS4. It is a good way to keep up with the changes to the network. www.reddit.com/r/wwenetwork/
  4. I am looking to replace an aging T-shirt collection with wrestling shirts that are not an embarrassment for an adult to wear outside of the house. I purchased a Daniel Bryan Yes! and a We The People shirt but still need to buy a few more. Am looking for both WWE and Indy shirts, any suggestions?
  5. You say the midnights didn't want to be up there but that was the third scaffold match Bobby Eaton was involved in and he would go on to work one more at the GAB 91. There is another Midnight/RNR scaffold match on the Mid South 80s project set. I doubt it is their preferred match but they had seemingly had no issue doing the match multiple times throughout their careers.
  6. I wanted to pick a show that hasn't been discussed too much since the inception of the network as well as a show I watched many times growing up. I have not watched this in over a decade so it will be interesting to see how the show holds up compared to the fond memories I have of it.
  7. Started doing a little research while watching the 6/27/77 MSG show. It appears the opening match is a rare appearance of Jan Nelson who trained in a famous AWA training camp with Ricky Steamboat and from all accounts could have had a good wrestling career but was cut short from an apparent drug overdose. According to kaybfabe memories Steamboat said in a shoot interview that he heard they found Nelson's body in the bathroom at a Rolling Stones concert with a needle still stuck in his arm. He wrestles Jose Gonzalez, the man who (allegedly) murdered Bruiser Brody. While it isn't the greatest of matches it is still interesting nonetheless.
  8. Paul E was also great in the Bash 89 Wargames where he is pumping up one of the Samoans by telling him to kill and eat.
  9. I was the big ECW mark in my high school however I do not remember seeing this show. This was fantastic with everything being good to great. I was surprised by how much I liked the Justin Credible/Sabu match. Sabu putting Justin through the table face down was crazy. Cyrus did not bother me as much on commentary, insider lingo would have fit ECW well because of the large percentage of hardcore wrestling fans who watch the shows and I it different than what the big 2 were doing. On one hand I wish RVD would have won the World Title here since he was a great ECW worker and very much over. On the other hand I remember somewhere in 2000 he ended up leaving the company for personal reasons so maybe it is good he did not get the strap in 99. It is easy to say in retrospect but Awesome should not have been the man to win the belt, but at the same time who would be the man to get the belt from Taz? My picks were either not in a position to take the belt or simply not ready. This must have been an interesting time to follow the ECW backstage rumors.
  10. WWE has purchased the library and has recently released a Mid-South DVD.
  11. I am loving some of these new glam bands that have cropped up the last few years. Desyre
  12. They seem to have gotten their act together on the PS4. Most every Raw and WCCW show they have put up is showing available and in order.
  13. When watching it this morning I think they pulled people out of the crowd and gave them a free shirt. Almost everyone climbing into the ring does not look like a worker, very awkward like it is their first time stepping between the ropes. No way they are even models.......they are all ugly!
  14. Wasn't there some battle royal where a tag team (the Road Warriors?) were in at the end and agreed to split the prize money? They should either borrow that ending or tease it and do a swerve. Have read through 5 pages and didn't see this answered yet but The Skyscrapers were the team to split the 50,000 two ring over the top rope battle royal at The Bash 89. Sid won in ring one and Spivey won in ring two and they were supposed to have a regular match to decide the winner but Teddy Long was the voice of reason.
  15. A little late on the draw finally getting through it last night. The legends matches were much better than advertised. Thunderbolt Patterson was completely over and a great fiery babyface. The Prisoner is a horrible name and the fans did not buy him for a second. Two good tag matches with a good big man power main event despite a horrible ending make this a worthwhile card.
  16. I would imagine watching it in retrospect is easier than it was to watch it live.
  17. I would actually like to revisit Russo's WCW run. I was more of a WWF fan at the time.
  18. For the little money he is most likely making, I doubt he can be selective.
  19. The big Flair/Von Erich 82 cage match is now in the WCCW section!
  20. I watched that match recently and it looks like they are walking along a plywood surface to the scaffold which should lend to good footing. Capture the flag rules is what really kills this because you know nobody is going to take the big bump.
  21. Batista in a 60 minute ironman? so 5 mins for the entrance 50 mins of rest holds then 5 mins of wrestling? Of anything to bitch about in my joke of a post you choose Batista over Miz, Gunn, Fox or Marie........interesting
  22. I hope this RAW features three 60 minute ironman matches. Alicia Fox vs Eva Marie The Miz vs Heath Slater Batista vs Billy Gunn
  23. I didn't understand all the spoilers for a topic we have been discussing in the all encompassing thread.
