  1. Out of all the terrible, geek indy names, that one is one of the worst.
  2. Every match I see of his, he surprises me with something new. He did that and the jumping stunner in that match. Plus, his leapfrog is insane and he has done a standing springboard thingy before on Dark. Probably some other stuff I'm forgetting. I think he'll end up being a great Jeff Hardy like sympathetic babyface.
  3. I'm writing a book on women's wrestlers, what are all the best books on women in the business? Are there any that cover Moolah and her scandals and training?
  4. I have two questions for you fine folks here. First, does anyone know how I go about submitting match listings to wrestlingdata.com? I've contacted them three times and never receive a response. I'm writing a book and going through newspapers and I'm documenting dozens of listings not in the database. Secondly, anyone know why the WWF belt changed colors a ton during Warrior's reign as champion in 1990? I did read in an Observer about them tinkering with Warrior's appearance after it was clear he wasn't drawing. Was that part of it, does anyone know?
  5. How the hell did Buff get four hit and runs? How does that even happen? Is he just smashing into things like it's GTA?
  6. I don't know if anyone really cares but you guys seem to like this stuff. I've started posting cool pictures from newspaper articles I'm looking through on my Twitter @stevesgraps. I'm working on a book and if I see some cool pics I've been sharing them. Mostly stuff from the 60s and prior but still. I figured some of you might like this kind of stuff.
  7. Thanks, I signed up for it, and watched an hour so far of the show. I don't know why but I've always been fascinated with the company since its inception. I just wish they had more older stuff to stream.
  8. This may have already been covered here but do you guys think Nitro and WCW would have done nearly as well if they had been on a different night, other than Monday? Did they really need to go head-to-head to make it work? They were already doing good viewership for the Saturday show and had a good fanbase, by 1995.
  9. Is it worth ordering a replay of the PPV from last night?
  10. Has Money in the Bank been mentioned yet? This was a novel concept in 2005 but it's been done beyond death. All it does is devalue the belts beyond recognition because they never book the case holder as a viable threat, like ever. The viewer is always left thinking they aren't good enough to hold the belt and they don't deserve it. It was cool when Cena or RVD cashed in ahead of time because I could believe they deserved it if they won. The matches themselves are so old hat too, and hell, the concept of the ladder match needs to be reworked entirely. I miss when ladder matches told stories and didn't just serve as bump fests. They do these god damn things twice a year just for MITB and we've seen every bump there is to see. We've seen dives off the ladders, ladders getting torn in half, stacked ladders, and anything else you can think of. Just retire both concepts for at least a year and call me again.
  11. Enzo looks like he's aged a century. Is he related to Charlie Haas all of a sudden?
  12. Is there a place to watch current or past NOAH stuff? I have a feeling I may have asked this question before here.
  13. Honestly, I really don't understand why more wrestlers these days aren't watching stuff like French wrestling or European wrestling for ideas for spots, etc. Some of those pins and counters are way better than just some shitty roll-up we see thirty times a week on RAW.
  14. Some of the best cowboys in wrestling (stolen from the wasteland that is Reddit)
  15. This page represents my record for dishing out the most confused emoji responses in one page.
