  1. When was that? This is the show that back in the day hosted such epic confrontations as Koko B. Ware vs Butch Reed and The Hart Foundation vs The Bolsheviks.
  2. It's neither. They defended against Tamina and Nia at Fastlane.
  3. People on this board really like Drew and want to see him do well. I don't think Roman hate has anything to do with it.
  4. You know, I've been in the "Baron Corbin should go away for a while and be repackaged" camp, but until that post I hadn't realized what, specifically, he should be repackaged as. Kudos.
  5. So does this mean the Marvel things that aren't Marvel things are now Marvel things?
  6. This is all true. My problems with Baron Corbin have nothing to do with Baron Corbin.
  7. I have to disagree with all the hate for the video packages. They provide necessary context, and are a lot less painful to get through than the weekly shows.
  8. I reject the notion that there can be a perfect team of Avengers. There are way too many great characters who deserve a spot, and a team of twenty to fifty Avengers would have problems. The perfect Avengers run would have people rotating in and out every few months.
  9. I'm torn as to what I want to go on last. The women deserve it, but if Rollins-Lesnar closes I go to bed at a reasonable hour.
  10. I won't give you "definitely", but there's certainly an argument to be made. Getting to be the Master Planner and the leader of the Sinister Six shows Octopus was pretty high on the villain totem pole. On the other hand, the Goblin back then had the distinction of being the only villain Spider-Man never actually caught.
  11. Bit late to the party, but can anybody explain how the Charlotte-Becky match makes any narrative sense? I'm not in the "Becky's Wrestlemania win absolutely must be one-on-one" camp, but if Becky has already beaten Charlotte to get to the match, what's the point of Charlotte being in the match? Shouldn't Becky have to beat Nia Jax or someone in order to get her shot back?
  12. I wasn't even born when Osborn died, and had given up on monthly pamphlet-style comics too when he came back. And I considered that an incredibly stupid move (still do). But it still strikes me as completely obvious that the Goblin - whichever Goblin it happens to be at the time - has always been Spider-Man's enemy #1. Marvel themselves acknowledged that when they did a count-down of Spidey's greatest foes in an annual in, I don't know, the late '80s I think. They cheated a bit and gave the #1 spot to "the Goblin brothers, Hob and Green", but the only question in my mind when I started reading it was which Goblin would get the top spot. I've seen Octavius boosters claim that Gobby's position at the top of the villain food chain was invented after and somehow dependent on his ill-conceived return, but that's ridiculous revisionist history.
  13. I'm curious, have you read Walt Simonson's Thor run from the 80s? My big problem with Malekith was the waste of potential. Yellowjacket never had any potential to begin with.
  14. Yeah, I'm a big AJ Lee fan, but I wouldn't call her an all-time great. Mind you, she didn't have much opportunity to demonstrate greatness given the opponents she had to work with, but at best I'd say she was a great might-have-been.
  15. I recommend against tiles. I have a shitload, and they're neat, but I've never found a sensible way of sorting them. Makes finding the tile you want a giant pain. Ars Magica third and fourth edition books made good reading. In the current edition they've made an effort to concentrate more on making them effective reference books for the game, which makes perfect sense, but makes them a less attractive option for those of us who don't actually have an Ars Magica group.
  16. Maybe. Introducing an entirely new threat in Episode VII would work a lot better than Episode IX, though.
  17. What is there to say? It was obvious plans had changed when Bryan turned heel out of nowhere.
  18. So did anybody else read this thread title and think Rippa had finally reversed the results of the last March Madness final?
  19. It's Cabot House that's the problem. Every time my manipulative psychopath character visits Lorenzo for more serum, she takes her hat off when she gets inside, because she's not a fucking savage. And he has a perfectly nice hat rack sitting just inside the door. But I can't use it! It just sits there, taunting me.
  20. I've searched, and there doesn't appear to be a mod that adds functional hat racks to the game. Why do we even HAVE mods?
  21. I threw together a Merfolk deck and took it to a local weekly tournament two weeks ago. Went 3-0 despite it being a 75-card first draft of a deck. Maybe Merfolk are good?
  22. I didn't understand this comment so I googled it, and holy shit. They actually printed a tournament-relevant card that isn't available in booster packs through normal channels? I thought they learned their lesson like, two decades ago with Mana Crypt.
  23. I'd question whether this style of handicap match even put Demolition at a disadvantage. As a kid and a Powers of Pain mark, I assumed it was done to give Demolition the advantage, because Fuji had to be a lot easier to beat than the Warlord or the Barbarian. And sure enough, Fuji ate the pin.
  24. Random milling like Thief of Sanity does has no effect on the probability of your opponent drawing the lands they need.
