From this week's NXT: Basically, from what I can see here, at the WWE Performance center, there's a poster on the wall telling them that, whatever they do, they should not let Dave Meltzer in if he comes to the back door.

What did they change? I saw there was an update but I couldn't tell much difference. I always forget how much I hate the early parts of every Disgaea game. Just let me be ungodly powerful noooowwwww. It costs Hero Points instead of iso to get the All+3 and Allx10% boosts now. All others are now 200+ iso. Thor's been nerfed pretty hard. Likewise wolverine. The PvE stuff is now a lot harder with a cost of iso (or maybe shield/event points) to skip that or PVP matches. Also the drops of boost have been secretly nerfed.

Point #1: I kind of wish Hero was still employed so that they could just pretend he was CM Punk. Point #2: I'm not actually interested in watching Colt Cabana wrestle but i'm way more interested in Colt vs HHH than Punk vs HHH.

Just how many Blue Panther vs Negro Casas matches exist on video? I have some vague hope that someday I can take three months and just watch them almost non stop.

Ducktales is one of those few NES games where you can't play it emulated well on a keyboard, for what it's worth. Just saying. I'm done with Marvel Puzzle Quest (thankfully). They made an update that severely limited a lot of the free to play options and it broke the hold the thing had on me. I wish the game had come out five years ago because I would have loved it then. I loved the original Puzzle Quest after all and if they had made it as a single player $40 dollar game it would have been great. I'm fairly deep into Twilight Princess now which is my first 3D Zelda, and I still think all the magic of the overhead Zelda's play control are nuked with the whole aiming system in the 3D stuff. I can't imagine it was much better in Zelda 64.

I think this social element is probably more likely. It's just lack of real life social interaction. We've seen what Dave's lair looks like.

Honestly? A better note would be the guys who they DIDN'T do this with. Austin. Jericho in 2000. Rock in 98. Savage, maybe? I'd be curious if people took a look at Savage. When they turned the Natural Disasters face, they still had them just killing jobbers and what not. They weren't suddenly huggable lovable guys. At the time, I thought that Michael Hayes was right and when they turned Cena, he REALLY should have given the FU to ... was it Benoit? I guess history says otherwise, but they had to completely change the way they presented guys and did business to get there?

Honestly, if you're trying to do good for all of wrestling, it's probably better to invest in Joey Mercury's house than TNA.

That doesn't count. Obviously Mark Henry is reclining in contented peace after repo-ing Orton's air, which is why Randy's starting to idly float away.

I'm putting this here even though it doesn't entirely belong here. What makes this place great and what has always made this place great is the fact that people here earnestly enjoy so much of what they follow. Yes, there's snarkiness, and bs, and gimmick posters, and whatever else, but this place was built upon the Tilde~~ and the joy of the DVDVRs and Road Reports and crazy surveys and Angle/Wrestler of the Days and it was built upon not being afraid to look like a doofus and not cool because you happen to really dig the Barbarian's fuzzy boots or the Warlord's goofy half mask, not in an ironic way, but in an earnest one. Earnestness is what makes this place shine in the face of the rest of the cold, turgid internet, and it's the people who refuse to enjoy anything except for on an ironic level that really bring this place down sometimes.

Yeah, grumpy people. I think we're watching a different show or something. The entire tone of How I Met Your Mother is occasionally bittersweet, sure, but it's also a fairy tale. The whole damn show is. It's a show where true love exists and people can get a happy ending. It might not be a perfect one (see Robin: kids), but it's still a happy ending.
