Who Would You Like To See Have Another Run In WWE?
Matt D replied to Web Conn's topic in The PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING
Hurricane was so frustrating in 09. I liked the idea of the Burchill feud and that was at the heart of WWE PG when Hurricane should have been a great way to print money with the kids, but he was just a shell of his previous self. -
The Hell on Wheels finale was a kick in the face.

You need to leverage this into enough buzz that you can become the Andy Kaufman to some local indy babyface. You can manage a masked goon called the Ax-tuary.

I still wish they had brought Graves and Zayn as the Authority's Punk and Bryan late last year.

http://youtu.be/77trzj8OCRQ?t=1h15m5s 1:15:05 Video has been yanked but the description gives enough of a story Damn I hate that the link got yanked, would fuckin love to see this show. It was great live. My one show ever at MSG. We had great seats because business was down too (hey, more proof that Brock shouldn't be in the WON HOF). The cage match is still on youtube if you look for it.

In the pre-Mania 3 lead up, was Savage/Steamboat even the #2 match?

Shouldn't he be a Mariners fan?

Austin could be a great poor man's Lawler.

I think there's a big difference between Austin and Rock.

Is finding a money mark somehow a laudable thing?
-
Brevoort's response to that was posting the covers of the last "cancellation" before the relaunch the following month. I'm pretty certain that'll happen again. This perlman stuff be damned.

I kind of love that someone thought the way to do Gotham was to remake Curly Sue

You need someone who can make Austin look good, who will at least be compelling in there with him (so heath slater is out unfortunately), and that can get some sort of rub, even in a loss. It's basically Ambrose or bust in that regard. Rollins would make him look godlike too but I think they could pass the torch with Ambrose if they wanted to. The biggest mainstream match would be either Lesnar or Batista. I think Batista wants to work HHH though. I'd probably go Sting/Taker (If he's up to it). HHH/Batista. Rock/Lesnar. and Ambrose/Austin. I guess the good news is that if they have those guys on the table, they can do pretty much anything with them. Sting/HHH works. Austin/Batista works. Batista/Lesnar works.Rock/Batista works. Lesnar/Taker II works. Sting/Batista works. Austin/Bryan works. Sting/Rock works. Lesnar/Bryan probably works too.

I find it pretty easy to relate to.

When I first moved to DC in 2006, I had no car for the first year and a half or so and after that I was pretty tightly constrained in a family unit out in the suburbs. I kind of curse that time though, because it meant I couldn't partake in DVDVR PLAYA watching parties down in Richmond or wherever. After I got a car, it was too late as the real life responsibilities had overtaken me.

The harm it does is along the lines of 1.) proliferating the idea that wrestling companies are incompetent to potential suitors and not worth the rating points relative to the crummy ad revenue and 2.) basically holding up a position in the market. I'm not saying that if they were gone, some other company would immediately fill their place, but it's likely it would have happened at some point in the last ten years and that company almost couldn't be worse as an entity no matter how hard they tried. They just might not have had so patient a money mark.

Yeah, at this stage, I'm pretty much under the opinion that the industry would be better without TNA. I don't think that's some sort of blasphemous or ignorant position to have. That said, it should be. On paper, less places to work is never a good thing. Never. So that's a special testament to the constant mismanagement and ineptitude over the years. That said, it's not really worth getting worked up about.

Bayley and possibly Zayn. I want to see the Hardys back under a RVD/Jericho type deal. I'd love to see Hardys vs Usos or Gold and Stardust. Hell even Jeff vs Harper. Also Maryse should come back and manage the Miz. Like WWE's version of Maria and Mike Bennett. Zayn is way more apt to drop selling in order to get some of his shit in during a comeback. Masters would do that shit with one arm. -
That was totally the space whale from series 6 right?

Masters is 31 and he's probably the best selling babyface in the country not named Goldust. Who's better? -

Is there anyone in the history of wrestling better at executing perfectly timed cut offs?

I can't find it right now but the idea is that a bunch of the groups would come together. (Mindscan was Saturn Girl; Rancor was Timber Wolf.. ok found it:
