ALL IN - 9/1/2018 - Post-Show Thread

After his match with Cody I came out a bigger fan of Aldis, He seemed like a great representative for the NWA and I havent seen much of his work since probably the Beat Down Clan era of TNA. I hope he gets more work in the top Indies like ROH because he deserves it. -

LU is in its own universe, its a TV series that features wrestling matches and 95 % of the talent that arent luchadores have different gimmicks or new names coming in. Place the angles make sense and are constant no matter how off the wall, which you barely get from WWE. I'm not a fan of Joey Ryans gimmick either mainly because he is so talented in the ring that he doesn't need it to get over. He was one of my favorites in PWG from 08 to 09 when I watched constantly. Its plays in to that sleaze role that he has, I get it in that sense but its one of those things that is funny the first time you see it if you like comedy stuff but It gets old pretty quick. I think he should get credit for getting attention from media outlets ouside of the wrestling circles as an Independent talent that was never on WWE roster. He helped lead the way for a show like ALL IN. He's a guy that shouldve been signed by WWE before he even started that gimmick. If he had this wouldn't be a talking point -
Makes sense but I hope it comes up by tomorrow so I can watch on my day off

Podcast Potpourri (aka Not Austin, AOW, Talk Is Jericho....)
Ziggy replied to Rev Ray's topic in The PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING
I decided to check out Robbie E's podcast , I started with the Marty Jennetty episode and I really enjoyed him telling his side of alot 9f stories. I know he's had his demons but alot of things have happened out of bad luck. I hope he writes a book because he seems to be very honest and has a good recollection of things. He's a very smart guy and I think other people like Shawn and even WWE created a narrative of Marty being a screw up which I dont think is true. -
AUGUST 2018 WRESTLING DISCUSSION.
Ziggy replied to The Natural's topic in The PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING
When I first saw him in WCW, I thought he was a lame manager with a cheesy evil heel gimmick, when he came to ECW I realized he was probably the best manager in the Industry at that point, definitely the best mouthpiece. The Unholy Alliance of Tajiri and Whipwreck was probably the best thing in the company before it ended. Listening to Kris Zellners Podcasts makes me want to see his Smokey Mountain work -

This was my first time watching 205 in almost a year. I love how alot of the angles have been building up for months. I been hearing about Buddy Murphy tearing it up on 205live and Im glad to see him get this chance to really show his potential. Im still really behind Tozawa even after they ended his push for the Title and run with Titus. He has the Tajiri type of presence, no over the top gimmick but all business in the ring. He and Lio will tear it up eventually. I might have to make this the one show I keep up with weekly. I want to see KENTA vs Alexander next week. I like my tv tv wrestling to keep me excited about the next week. I need to feel like i can invest in a show week to week rsther than just expect good match or because someone I enjoy watching is on it almost every week.

When I first started watching WWF in 96 he just started his run, as a kid it was a cool visual seeing him vs Yoko I didn't know about his WCW and Japan run till later. I know his WWF run has not indicative of his career at all but I remember his KoTR Qualifier match vs Ahmed Johnson on RAW that is one of my favorite matches from that era. He had a good match against Davey Boy in the European title tournament on Raw that was good too. Getting to watch his WCW and Japan stuff was no shock how good he was. Sure he ran into politics in WWF on top of having to water down his style. He also started that run with a screwed up shoulder too. Im sure Vince did see money in him but we all know the stories of Shawn. Japan was the best place for him and Germany too because he didn't need to worry about politics

So is Braun gonna Challenge Brock and win, A Monster shouldnt be teasing cash ins it'll make him look weak.

The Cody Rhodes/YB All In Show Thread

Imagine if FOX had gotten into Wrestling 20 years ago, it would be a different game. You could argue that the All In audience is the same as the NXT audience. I think it will be very good.- 906 replies

The guys lives his gimmick obviously but yes that song was trash but I'll give him credit for doing something like this. This was just days sfter Lio Rush actually put out a serious music video where he was actually very good a rapping and it was a project outside of WWE. I guess Enzo will be getting projects outside of Wrestling, now that he wasnt charged, I hope he becomes more than just a rap groupie, he sucks lyrically but that videos was decent production wise.

I know but atleast the Women seem legit honoured to get the chance to partake in these matches and such but you know its taking away to the actual angles and such.
-
When does this first time ever shit get old with the women's matches we get it. Its like like winning a match isnt important as long as im apart of gimmick match A I am apart of history by proxy.

Is it going to be shown on Axis TV or will I have to get NJ World

The Cody Rhodes/YB All In Show Thread
Ziggy replied to ChesterCopperpot's topic in FEDS JUST TRYING TO MAKE A BUCK
They went against the grain and did a Wrestlemania weekend type of events outside of wrestlemania its amazing. If the top Indies worked more closely together this probably could've happened 10-15 years ago but either way, these guys pulled it off. It shows the power is in the talent and I think that is important to show that guys can creat a buzz without the Machine of Vince.- 906 replies

They should've went with Tozawa instead of Enzo, the Titus worldwide was so over they didnt go all the way with on Raw anyway plus everyone was ready for Tozawa to beat Neville and it wouldve gave Neville more legs as a heel
-
I listen to Austin's podcast & he talks about guys going out there and getting themselves over, he tried to do something different and he got heat for it if its true. You can see why guys are afraid to go against the grain

Wouldn't that be the goal ? -
Why in the beginning of the HDtv era did Vince not mandate that the guys go backto speaking Carny when calling spots, its a lost art now but im sure a few guys still knew the language.
-
Well in that case it would've been worth the deposit
-
I could see Bryan requesting to have Strong in there to work will I'm sure he has enough pull by now especially since they want him to resign
-
If he didnt have the fallout with Vince in sure he would've worked a few MSG shows for a few more years.
