Oh Jae, thank you so so much for pointing that out. I've tried, practically begged myself to enjoy the stupidity of that movie for so many years. But that... fucking... soundtrack... What bothers me the worst is that the director did an interview with Daily Grindhouse and he seems like a decent, enthusiastic guy with some bright ideas. But not a single one of them came off. Plus they spent the entire interview basically fellating the film when it deserves to be burned and buried. And that... fuUUUUUUUUUCKing... soundtrack...

Yes to both of these, though yeah... the kid's eye is something you tend to forget about. Season Two is crucially underrated. You have to have it to get the background on the drug trade, that as somebody in the series (I think Omar) says at one point, that there are Games beyond The Game, that the whole thing is bigger than the Westside of Baltimore. And not just the drug trade but the economic struggle of almost the entire American populace. I can understand why it disappointed people at first -- Michael K. Williams' own original opinion was disappointment, feeling like it diminished the primarily black-oriented outlook of the series. But go watch it again and it's a piece of the puzzle that is impossible to remove.

I hate to say it and some of you are gonna be mad. It wasn't horrible. But the song is way better than the movie.

Awww, I was so gonna post "Flash". I guess I can understand having some nostalgia for the film but the disparity between quality of film and quality of song is so stark. Insofar as Judgment Night is concerned, I've seen it from about halfway through and dug it; Denis Leary is pretty vicious in it. The soundtrack though! because of course I am going to post the Exploited cover medley I would also like to give an honorable mention to Cannibal Corpse's "Hammer Smashed Face" being both 1. one of the only decent Barnes-era CC songs and 2. being on Ace Ventura which really does not stand the test of time.

There are two of those (which I guess you know); the first one is the choicer but the second one has Hunchback of the Morgue. I got most of those when they were individual releases (the two packs) but never saw Hunchback anywhere Oh, and I went to two separate Dollar Trees looking for Robocop to no avail. Oh well

Kenou's hair (and work, obviously) is epic. I haven't seen the dude since that match with Fujita Jr. Hayato in M-Pro and all of the sudden (well, many years later) he's fighting for the GHC Heavyweight title, against some guy I've never heard of, and has the greatest haircut of all time along with working like a junior version of Tenryu? Sign me up.

They probably think kids can't pull one off whereas just about anyone can piledrive someone. Which reminds me of the shoulder injury I got as a kid when a trio of kids ganged up and power bombed me on the junior high track...

Never thought there was anything wrong with Lord Alfred. As a runner up to the Heenan/Gorilla or Gorilla/Ventura teams you could have done way worse, even if he got smoked in retrospect.

Taue/Kawada is one of those "where has this been all my life?!" matches. From the first chop you know it is gonna be good then it just gets better and better. Features: - Taue faking a plancha (?!) and Kawada falling for it - Kawada deciding to torture Taue with assorted painful carny holds, including a Swastika (I think) hold that looks like Kawada is trying to castrate him - Taue almost suffering Misawa's fate on a German - A powerbomb that rivals the greatest ever No quarter given, mercy is for the weak. Check that one out for sure.

Marty, we understand and there's nothing wrong with that. But this guy looks like every single US PE teacher and/or football coach in the entire country, facially and haircut-wise. It's just too easy of a joke to pass by. It was literally the first thing I thought of when they said this guy was the NWA champion -- "that coach must be a hell of a wrestler". Which makes it even funnier knowing he is actually a teacher.
