HULK HOGAN DUMPSTER FIRE THREAD
Michael Sweetser replied to Kevin Wilson's topic in The PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING
Swapping Giada for Gianna would definitely make cooking more interesting. -
Global Force "Amped" TV Tapings Spoilers
Michael Sweetser replied to DreamBroken's topic in FEDS JUST TRYING TO MAKE A BUCK
I've managed against Reno Scum in the distant past (they were actually the first team I managed against in DOA, after I formed the Elite). Damn good workers, both of them, and I'm glad they got a shot. And of course, glad the Bollywood Boyz finally get another shot on a big stage after they tore it up in Ring Ka King. -
HULK HOGAN DUMPSTER FIRE THREAD
Michael Sweetser replied to Kevin Wilson's topic in The PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING
That seriously just blew my fucking mind. I think I need to lie down for a while... I'm out of likes anyway, I now know the pain. This truly might be the best thread in this board's history, and that covers a lot of ground. -
20-0 should've been Cena.

HULK HOGAN DUMPSTER FIRE THREAD
Michael Sweetser replied to Kevin Wilson's topic in The PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING
Knowing WWE booking these days, the 25 guys would go over clean, including a tag team title win over the PTP. If you thought Freebird Rules were complicated with the five guys in the Spirit Squad... -

Suddenly, that random "I think Booker T is great" chapter in Hogan's book makes a lot more sense.. -
TNA/GWF MEGA THREAD OF DOOM~!
Michael Sweetser replied to RIPPA's topic in FEDS JUST TRYING TO MAKE A BUCK
The best part is that TNA has made such a habit of trying to work their own people backstage and work the Internet for no reason that nobody believes anything their drones have to say. And yeah, fuck Bob Ryder. The very definition of a wannabe hanger-on. He's like the worst possible Brutus Beefcake, but at least Brutus was smart enough to latch on to a main eventer. -
The Wrestling Book Thread
Michael Sweetser replied to The Green Meanie's topic in The PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING
It pretty much covers everything evenly, and some good insight into his ROH run and his struggles figuring out how to approach his title reign and spot in the company. -
The Wrestling Book Thread
Michael Sweetser replied to The Green Meanie's topic in The PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING
I whipped through the Bryan book yesterday. Part of it is a recap of his WM30 weekend from third person (the WWE.com blog reprinted, I believe) with the rest being in his words. Not really a ton that you haven't heard before, but his childhood stuff is interesting, and of course he's got a great story. I'd give it a read. -
Worst wrestling card you've attended
Michael Sweetser replied to cwoy2j's topic in The PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING
The worst non-indy show I went to was probably a WCW house show in Spokane in June 2000. The only serviceable match was the opener. The only pop of the night was for The Wall dropping the name of the town. Main event was a Dusty Finish with a bumped referee and a lot of fans around me saying they'd never bother with WCW again. They wouldn't have long to bother. WCW never ran Spokane again and was dead less than a year later. The Raws I've been to in Vancouver and Tacoma were pretty bleh, too, but I give a bit of a pass to TV tapings - they're not done for the live crowds. I got into a Tacoma Raw as a seat filler and never actually got called to move anywhere - and the seat filler seats were better than most of the others in the building. -

I was going to go that in Northern Virginia but my wife's water broke as I was walking out the door. Disgusting. You gotta think of the business, kid. -

I know who you're talking about, and it wasn't, believe it or not. They're just really shitty bookers. -
He'll fit right in with the Gawker people.

TNA/GWF MEGA THREAD OF DOOM~!
Michael Sweetser replied to RIPPA's topic in FEDS JUST TRYING TO MAKE A BUCK
Not really how it works. You can't just put anything in a contract and expect it to be enforceable. Its why WWE could not stop Brock from working in UFC. Yes, but it cost Brock literally millions to get out of it. Most don't have millions. -

Like TNA workers could afford bullets at this point. -
Why do you think they're bringing in Lyger?

He's a pro wrestler. Much like Sterling Archer, lying is like, 95% of what they do. -

How is it a dick move? TNA's lucky they're not getting sued right now. Getting a C&D to not air the stuff with Hernandez is getting off easy. LU could've taken them to the cleaners on this one. TNA could've resolved this situation before it happened with one phone call to find if Hernandez was telling the truth and was still under contract. Instead, they barreled ahead anyway, hoping they could beg off or buy off whoever complained. Not this time. -

To be fair, everyone's first bumps pretty much go this way. -
I like the fact that even though it's WCW-era Savage, the belt used is obviously a WWF eagle belt.

There is indeed orally ingested testosterone, but it's not nearly as effective as the injected version.
