  1. It depends on Fedor's intentions. Bellator doesn't mind paying big bucks to pay former fighters to show back up, if Fedor is just looking for some money and fun (ie not the title) I think Bellator could put some fights together for him that would drive interest. Royce could bulk up a bit and they could do a catch-weight.... Course if Fedor wants actual competition and doesn't want to be part of a freak show that does limit Bellator's options a bit. He may as well go to UFC and get paid a lot of money to lose a few times.
  2. Oh I completely understand why she didn't make Cyborg bucks, but basically she made less money than I do and I am just an IT Technician in a hospital. Just sucks for them that they work so hard and aren't really getting paid much of anything, that's all.
  3. Saw on the released salaries that Faith Van Duin was paid $6,000. I know she had sponsors but still, that's crazy. Even in "real life" money that is below average for two month's work (assuming that was about how long her camp was), never mind the fact she has to pay for trainers, coaches, insurance, etc. I don't normally jump on the 'pay is bad' bandwagon as I figure it is up to fighters to eventually do something about it, it just seemed like a crazy low number for a main event fighter.
  4. People on Twitter for some reason liked this more than almost anything else I've ever posted so I thought you guys may enjoy it too. Taichi being sneaky.
  5. This was mine: NWA @ Norfolk, VA - Scope - August 12, 1989 (5,000) The Ding Dongs defeated Al Greene & Lee Scott Brian Pillman pinned Norman Sid Vicious pinned Scott Hall Ron Simmons pinned Curtis Thompson (White Angel in Puerto Rico) Rick & Scott Steiner defeated Jack Victory & Rip Morgan Sting fought the Great Muta to a draw The Road Warriors defeated the Samoan Swat Team NWA US Champion Lex Luger pinned Tommy Rich NWA World Champion Ric Flair pinned Terry Funk I was only five years old (almost six) but I still remember seeing Great Muta, he was my favorite wrestler. Sting and Muta fought in the crowd and they went right by us. That's literally all I remember from the event.
  6. I bet they will stack that card to try to break their record, that would line up to about when Rousey will be ready for another defense.
  7. As a Bills fan my first reaction was to say just fire him, he's new to the team and the extra drama isn't necessary. But with the media/fans over-reacting so much the last year I am going to do the "wait and see what happens" approach as there just isn't enough information at the moment. Doesn't sound good though.
  8. What people are forgetting is that it happened before the NFL's new domestic abuse policy, which is the basis of deduction, and since the woman decided not to pursue it there wasn't a conviction to go off of. Rice was actually found guilty of something (even though the plea deal was crazy), and of course the on-camera thing really didn't help. But that is always the case, the FSU QB wouldn't have been cut if there wasn't a video, video always leads to quicker and more serious punishments. But the arbitrator can only go off of what the CBA says, blame both sides for it being lax.
  9. The rumor of course started that she was pregnant, which I think is the go-to rumor when a female wrestler takes a break, but since she plans on wrestling two more months I dunno if that is the likely scenario.
  10. I wrote about it some more here but Kana is taking a hiatus from wrestling after her produced event on September 15th. Lots of rumors as to why but she won't confirm the reason. Although she does say she is not retiring, just taking a break.
  11. I don't think I've ever started a thread in the main wrestling forum but this seems as good a time as any. Over on my website I am running a Fundraiser for ALS. My uncle has had ALS for ten years and we always raise money for the ALS Walk in October, but unfortunately this may be his last Walk as he isn't doing well so we are trying to raise as much money as possible. And this is the best way I could think of to help. All the details are on this page on my website, but to summarize, anyone that makes a donation of 5 dollars or more (directly to the ALS site via the link on the page, not to me) gets some type of prize as a token of appreciation (obviously the prize has less value than the donation so there is still a 'profit'). A lot of it is puroresu stuff but I do have some American wrestling items as well, including a bunch of WWE Funko POP! Figures and American packs of wrestling cards. I have a google docs sheet on the page so people can reserve items, I was afraid if two people donated at the same time and both wanted the same item, I didn't want to disappoint anyone so that was the best way I could think of doing it to be fair. Thanks for reading, and I appreciate any donations. If you can't donate, if you can mention it on any podcasts/forums/etc. you are on and just help spread the word I'd appreciate it. I'd like to raise $500, with $1,000 being the high-end goal. But any amount helps
  12. Imagine this, I have six retro consoles all plugged in around my PC so that I can do capture for it while playing it on my TV. It is a logistical nightmare but I finally got it done.
  13. My big takeaway from it is for two very large companies, it was so poorly presented. I mean you have fighter's names spelled wrong, using names the fighters don't go by, it is ridiculous. If just one person had gone over it they would have caught the mistakes, or heaven forbid run it by the fighters first. Not a good start.
  14. I'm glad I wasn't the only one that noticed Paige's boobs. I wish I had more to contribute but that just wasn't very good, the training part didn't do much for me, the judging was weird and even Jericho seemed off.
  15. So Oscar De La Hoya seems to be going beyond just the normal old man "I could beat that guy if I still boxed" thing by continuing to talk about having a match next year. Do boxing people think it is plausible? I guess it would still pop a buyrate even though there is no way he is beating GGG or Mayweather as far as I can tell.
  16. Car was totaled and shockingly I got $3,030 for it. I paid $3,000 for it over four years ago. Not a bad deal.
  17. I got into my first ever car accident today. I am putting it here though because it wasn't my fault (not debatable), the guy that hit me was nice/has insurance, and I already have an appointment at the body shop tomorrow which Geico has confirmed they are paying for repairs (he also has Geico) and a rental will be waiting for me. So for a first accident, as smooth as it gets I assume. Only downside is I got a subpoena to go to his court date so I really hope he just pays in advance without arguing. Poor car though.
  18. Yea all the 'fix' talk is stupid. It is a well known fact that Shamrock has no chin whatsoever and those were pretty clean shots. They wouldn't have knocked out Roy Nelson or anything and didn't knock out Shamrock either, but was definitely enough to put the 51 year old with probably permanent head issues on dream street. Not sure what else people were expecting, I told my brother it would end in the first either the first time Kimbo got a clean shot or if Shamrock was able to get a quick takedown/submission. Not that I am a genius, that was just the only realistic outcome.
  19. I don't understand why they need kickstarter, they are just losing a cut. Since Sony is helping, why not just do something similar on their site but keep all the money? Shenmue fans would find it wherever they announced it was.
  20. I still can't tell if it is real or not. Ask me in a year Having wrestlers out there live on TV trying to talk her out of it doesn't seem very real to me.
  21. I don't see the correlation between the first part and second part of your sentence.
  22. NFL teams aren't fucking around with sketchy acting players anymore, especially ones they already had issues with anyway.
  23. Hey now I didn't have Internet until I was in my teens, I remember those days. Hell I didn't have high speed Internet until I was 18. I'm not that young
  24. I am only halfway through. Nothing jumping out at me yet as overly recommendable, which isn't unusual for BOSJ points matches.
