Are they going to fight at the end of the series?
-
Vince has always hated blood in matches. I was amazed he let it happen for so long during the Attitude era and beyond. Which is funny because didn't he end up blading like, 2-3 times in matches? Although that Gowen chairshot seemed to be legit. Everything else though. Vince bladed vs. Austin in the cage match, vs Taker, vs Flair, vs Hogan, vs Triple H when he won the title. I'm sure there are others. So he couldn't have hated it that much cause I'm sure nobody was forcing him to blade.

That match was a bloodbath though. Even Heyman was bleeding. Without Taker hitting a crazy gushing blade job I don't think the match has the intensity/drama. I mean at one point Taker's blood was dripping into Brock's mouth. We'll never see things like that in WWE again. Which begs the question, why can't they come up with a viable non-blade job way to get some blood in cage matches/street fights? There has to be something that could look decent and add some drama/intensity without the health risks.

What is this? 2006? How about watching the actual fights? You don't think this man dusts off Ricardo Lamas (#4)? Anyways, he is fighting the Aldo/Mendes winner either way it goes. Most likely in Dublin. He probably beats Lamas sure. But I have seen nothing to indicate that Edgar and Mendes wouldn't take him down at will. I'm not even saying McGregor won't be great one day, the hype is just crazy for this point in his career. If he beats the Aldo/Mendes winner the hype will be far more justified but for the level of hype he's got right now you'd think he just KO'd Aldo in 30 seconds and then did it again in a rematch.

I'm already so sick of this Connor McGregor BS. The guy is the new Nick Diaz where he's got all this internet hype and nothing to back it up. Aldo, Edgar, or Mendes starch him. The guy already has two losses for fuck sake, he's not some undefeated phenom. Let's see how he does against a wrestler before we anoint him as the future.

Did Hogan ever score a pinfall finish over Roddy Piper? And if not... why not? What's the story there? I cannot fathom Hogan not wanting to go over Piper clean at some point, after Piper beat him multiple times. Especially in WCW when he had creative control. I mean he brought Warrior in to get his win back, why not Piper...

Don't forget about Savage missing an axe-handle from about 30'. I believe that was what finally finished Savage's knees once and for all. I don't know who thought that was a good idea from a guy that was 45...

It's really gotten to the point where nothing matters in WWE. Wins and losses, titles, and now 'injuries'. I laugh my ass off every time I hear them say "John Cena is now a fifteen time World Champion" as if his number of reigns is even close to being comparable to say Ric Flair's sixteen times. The way the title changes hands now...there is no comparison to the "old school" days. Title reigns meant something back then. Now...outside of Punk's 434 days...not so much. Cena will likely retire a 25 time champion...

Reigns should be doing the Pounce instead of the Spear. The Spear ruins your neck.

It's unfortunate for GGG that Sergio Martinez got old and chose to cash out against Cotto. He was really the only one that could have legitimized GGG as the middleweight champ in many peoples eyes. Quillin would be a good win, but with the Haymon/HBO cold war that fight won't happen anytime soon. -
For a Few Dollars More is criminally underrated. It may not have the scope of TGTBATU but the plot is just as good, the villain even better, and Van Cleef is better than ever. For another epic Lee Van Cleef performance check out a semi-obscure spaghetti western called "Day of Anger". Van Cleef is just king sized in it as the villain. Just an amazing, memorizing performance in an awesome, little seen western.

Kovalev is going to smash B-Hop. Kovalev isn't drunken Pavlik (who people seem to forget Hopkins made come up in weight). If Krusher puts one of those straight rights to the body on 49 year old B-Hop... he's going down. -
For your Western binge: The Proposition It's an Aussie western, and it's amazing.

Unless Anderson got old over night... Diaz is going to DIE.

.I like this Cruickshank dude. He gonna be a star. Fun to watch yes. A star, no. 155 is way too deep. When I saw him live at UFC on Fox 5 and he entered to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" it got one of the best reactions of the night. I hope he still enters to that song and I hope it makes TV one day.

Misawa vs. Jumbo six man tags to check out: Jumbo/Taue/Fuchi vs. Misawa/Kawada/Kobashi (All Japan 10/19/90) - The first classic six man tag of the feud. Kobashi takes a brutal beating in this one. Jumbo/Taue/Fuchi vs. Misawa/Kawada/Kobashi (All Japan 4/20/91) - 55+ minutes of EPIC wrestling. The best six man of the feud. Hell, it might be the best six man tag of all time. A true classic. Jumbo/Fuchi/Ogawa vs. Misawa/Kawada/Kikuchi (All Japan 7/26/91) – Jumbo is on fire in this match. One of the best six man tags of the feud. Jumbo/Taue/Fuchi vs. Misawa/Kawada/Kikuchi (All Japan 10/15/91) Jumbo/Taue/Fuchi vs. Misawa/Kawada/Kobashi (All Japan 5/22/92) – This match is a classic and the second best six man of the feud. This is Taue’s return match after a leg injury, and everyone is at the top of their game. This is also the last time we would see this particular six-man combo. -
BJ Penn vs. Frankie Edgar III is still a pretty good FS1 main event. Both guys are still big enough names to draw a TV audience. It would have bombed as a PPV main event though. I'm sure there was curiosity about Penn's 145 debut as well.

Somebody stop the damn match!
