  1. That in 2023 states are still using silly alternate names for certain types of gambling is so silly, these “electronic pull tabs” are basically slot machines, but you can’t call them slots since it might piss off some Puritans and Snake Handlers.
  2. So this song has replaced the Ozempic song in my head, with lines like “pinched off a porcupine” I can’t really complain.
  3. I always thought the Orndorff as a back up is blown out of proportion, Andre was working that much no matter what. Looking at the card and roster who could Mr. Wonderful even work with?
  4. I know I've seen it a few times but can't remember where, face Andre eliminating himself in a Battle Royal when the final three are him, one of his babyface friends and whoever the face is feuding with, always thought that was cool way to get someone else the win. Also, on a Coliseum Video there's a Battle Royal with the final two being Tony Atlas and SD Jones, since they're friends they have a coin toss to determine the winner, Atlas wins the toss and gently eliminates Special Delivery.
  5. He was one of the better snobby 80’s movie villains.
  6. He was arrested in a different state than where his license was issued, he’s going to spend a few weeks in the Allegheny County Jail and pay some fines. Huggins was arrested a few blocks from the Taylor Swift concert, he could have easily killed someone.
  7. Huggins thought he was in Columbus, Ohio.
  8. Watched Creed III the other day, it was fine but the training montage was pretty weak and those should be the highlight of any Rocky universe flick. They supposedly want to do more but I'm not sure where they could go, part of me wishes they'd go the animated route with a movie built around past their primes Drago and Clubber Lang fighting at Foxwoods in the mid-90's.
  9. Savran never did regular play by play for the Steelers, just pre-season games when WTAE-TV had them, but he hosted pre and post game shows for all the Pittsburgh teams over the years. He was a great sports talk host be it radio or tv, hence him being on air from 1976 until 2023.
  10. The oil bust was one of many factors in the UWF’s downfall, it gets the most mentions purely due to the Jim’s(Ross & Cornette) pushing that narrative. The UWF had the syndication network, but either never ran or didn’t draw well in towns outside of their territory, what’s the use of paying to have your tv on in a market if your not going to run shows there. The UWF also had way too many guys at the top of the card whose Japan dates were a priority, that hurt at the gate in the main UWF towns.
  11. JCP buys UWF if there was no accident, Ross and Watts combined carny powers were no match for a mark like Jim Crockett Jr. Everyone needs to remember that Crockett wasn't some great business mind, he was the oldest son who took over the family business after first being passed over for that position, he made a lot of bad decisions before the accident and would have still made them if there was no accident. I can't see them keeping Magnum as a long term champion with Flair still around, sure the chase would be amazing business but then what? Magnum would need the belt for 2 or 3 years while being booked in the Bruno/Pedro/Backlund style of champion, how could they do that with Flair still around?
  12. Wait the that stadium is going to be in Jacksonville not London?
  13. That is one of the funniest sketch’s of all time.
  14. Both seasons were really good, if you haven't seen it binge it now since there's a 97% chance it'll be off Max in the next few months.
  15. I would think if they're still members the Scott Baio and guy who played syndicated Hercules in the 90's types.
  16. When you're taking the bloodiest of money, it's best to keep it on the down low until the last possible second,.
  17. I don't really follow these things, why is Oppenheimer a summer release? I just don't picture people running off to the theaters in July to see a movie about the man who became death and destroyed a world. I've been interested in the Manhattan Project ever since my grandmother told me she worked in a factory that made wiring for both bombs(had a letter signed by Harry Truman thanking her) and I have no desire to see this movie.
  18. Apple is going to give them an insane amount of money for a few more seasons, spin off, and/or movie, that has to be why it was listed as a Season Finale and not Series Finale. It seems like everyone involved is smart enough to make it work, they could do two separate shows, one with Ted back in Kansas City and the other with the Greyhounds and the start up of the Women's team.
  19. Having actors in make-up or CGI'ing in aliens cost money, that's why they're all humans.
  20. Couldn't the Empire have had just "humans" at that prison, since they were the best suited for the work they were doing? Wookie's would have been at another prison doing another job, Greedo's at another and so on.

    30 For 30

Co-signing that Part 1 was really good, way better and different than I was expecting. Apache Dan was all over the Showtime doc about early MMA in Pittsburgh, really hoping he shows up in Part 2.
  22. There were multiple reasons the WW(W)F ran the main event before intermission. The building curfew, OT for arena workers kicked in after a certain time. At MSG and a few other arenas it gave fans time to catch the last train or bus out of the city. Ticket sales for the next show started before the last match on the card, whatever angle happened in the main event would hopefully entice fans to buy tickets for next month that night. Crowd was less drunk, so less inclined to riot before intermission. Allowed the main eventers to avoid cheering or blood thirsty fans after the show. I grew up in Pittsburgh and they also did the main event before intermission, but for most of 1983 the "main event" went on last with Backlund defending the belt against second tier challengers, Don Muraco defending the IC strap got the slot before intermission since those matches set-up the draw for the next month, more than half the crowd would be gone when Backlund hit the ring.
  23. King Rat is on tonight at 8, if you’ve never seen it check it out!
  24. Same, but that's my issue with a lot of podcasts.
  25. The Brady Bunch house is for sale, the interior was remodeled to look like the original set a few years ago. https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/11222-Dilling-St-North-Hollywood-CA-91602/20025974_zpid/?utm_source=zillowgonewild&utm_medium=zillowgonewild&utm_campaign=zillowgonewild&fbclid=IwAR0VKYi7Nl0v9MzoTDb4DK2ml9gs_4IkDTSLlWU3KiYM6bWJxiybFbX7PPA_aem_th_AbLT2J3cU7gWdA-pHkCsfF12l7fYtbCv7qmPAmsj_Z4ua14LRhIk_qAUykw7aEKtx0U
