  1. Just adding some more love for The Acclaimed. I think both dudes are awesome in completely different ways but as stated before it's the perfect combo of steak and sizzle. I mainly watch AEW through Dark and Elevation along with Dynamite clips on YouTube, so I see them pretty much every week. Bowens is great as the muscle and Caster is such a weirdo. They both have tons of charisma. It seems like Caster's goal every time they're on TV is to get Bowens to crack up at his shenanigans. I was never big on Punk but that would be huge for AEW. I would be way more hyped for Bryan, though I see no reason not to bring in both. They are the biggest names from the past decade outside of Cena or Batista, and I can see a lot of people give AEW a look again and sticking around.
  2. Civ VI worked great on my PS4, haven't tried it out yet on my PS5. I have too many new games to finish and Civ can make a weekend disappear fast.
  3. It's nostalgic to hear Jim Ross open up the show and run down the card but he brings nothing else to the shows at this point. As a casual viewer he just seems so disdainful of everything around him. He has little interest in the action and doesn't really fill a role on commentary. He may not be a racist but as someone who's lived in the South their entire life he rides the line with his comments about black wrestlers. I'm surprised he didn't get more heat when he referred to some wrestlers as "orientals" last year. Cut him loose and let him do as he will. I think he could serve a purpose as a interviewer/ big match announcer but it seems that's not what he wants.
  4. That's an impressive collection of games there. I've mentioned beating Mortal Shell and making a little progress in Bloodborne this year, but now it's all on hold because I finally found Demon's Souls on sale. I had a rough start but rolled a new class and am doing quite well for my skill so far as Royalty class. I've learned to embrace the occasional cheesing of enemies and will hopefully wrap this game up before trying to dive back into Bloodborne. I should probably jump back into Returnal too but I'm having too much fun with the Soulslike games right now.
  5. I would totally be down for Leyla Hirsch to join Team Taz. She's a perfect fit with her skill and shit-talking. She's also one of my favorites in AEW so it would be nice for her to get in some bigger spots on a more consistent basis.
  6. Braun was one of the dudes that got me sort of interested in WWE again. The Roman matches and that 4-way at Summerfest made him look so legit, and then they just had Brock squash him in a few minutes. I'm honestly surprised he hung around for this long after that epic heat-killing. Any time he built up steam after that loss he would instantly get jobbed out again. He was toast after that stupid Nicholas tag team match at WrestleMania 34. One of many reasons that was the last WWE event I ever watched in full. As badass as I thought he was though I have no interest in him coming to AEW.
  7. I overall enjoyed the show. Match length wasn't a huge issue for me this time, but the full show was way too long. By the time the Stampede match started I was already checked out. I knew Omega would win but I still bit on some of those near falls. I really wanted to see Mox/Eddie win the tag titles. The finish seemed really weak, just terrible looking knee strikes in an otherwise great match. Two for two so far on AEW ppvs so I'll probably be down to get the next one if it's on a Sunday night.
  8. I bought Revolution and it was my first AEW PPV. Just Double or Nothing and am most looking forward to the Men's World title and Women's World title matches. Orange Cassidy is my dude so I'm excited he's in a big match. My main complaint last PPV was match length and I'm hoping the reign it in a little on some of these matches. Hangman/Hardy was a good ten minutes longer than it needed to be, as were a few other matches.
  9. As someone who recently grew their hair long for the first time I know I'd sure as shit tie it back if it was a legitimate competition. Makes a lot of sense why they wear it down though, something I never really thought about before. Also I'm a day late but I'm glad I'm not the only person who remembers the May 19th stuff. I forget family birthdays and important dates but I'll always remember when See No Evil hit theaters.
  10. I actually found the Roach controls in Witcher 3 were way better than the horse controls in Red Dead 2, though I am definitely in the minority there. The combat in Witcher 3 was not my favorite but the total package of the game makes it one of my favorites to ever play. Both DLCs are awesome too, especially Blood and Wine. It's bigger than most regular games I've played.
  11. Did CW Anderson have any connection to Ole or Arn? I remember seeing him wrestle at a few Southern Championship Wrestling shows in NC twenty years ago and I remember him using a spinebuster.
  12. I actually finished all the dungeons and the final boss of Mortal Shell, way more than I ever thought I was capable of. I don't think I ever would have picked it up again if I didn't notice the free PS5 upgrade. Time to play a less anxiety-inducing game for a while before I try Bloodborne again, I feel skilled enough to take on that challenge now.
  13. I haven't had a chance to watch the whole match but I did watch the highlights. I agree that the camera work was just off on that Jericho fall. That cage is ridiculously tall but it didn't look like it was that big of a drop. Still lots of good stuff but I agree with what lots of others here said and they've got to up the production a bit for these matches. Excited for the potential of an Orange Cassidy World title match but I don't think he'll be the one to end Omega's run. I'd be totally fine if he did though.
  14. I'm only a couple hours in but I'm enjoying it so far. I've never really played a rogue like or lite before but the setting and tone have already got me engaged. The controls are next level. Months after I bought it, and sucked at it, I also restarted Mortal Shell with the PS5 upgrade and am actually making headway now. I mentioned my bad experience with it here before. I've always been terrible at these kinds of games but it's finally clicking. One day I might seriously try Bloodborne again.
  15. I'm excited for Returnal, it looks pretty interesting and something out of my comfort zone. I've hardly used my PS5 for any PS5 games so that's also driving my interest.
  16. What's My Name is one of my all time favorites and that would sound so badass as an intro for Kingston
  17. Did Paul Wight ever have a non-embarassing shirt? I own a Steve Blackman shirt and tons of corny WWF crap but I remember everything Show had was so stupid.
  18. He just said on Twitter that it's not "Jane" so I don't know what it will be.
  19. I just got mine last week and helped a friend find one by following @mattswider on Twitter. He frequently posts in-stock alerts and they're always accurate. The Digital Edition seems to sell out faster but the Disc version package deals on Best Buy and Gamestop stay in stock the longest. I ended up stuck with a game I didn't really want, but it was way better than overpaying for one on eBay. All that said it took about three solid months of near misses before I snagged one from Gamestop.
  20. Besides sporadic WWE network subs this was my first PPV purchase since WrestleMania 23. I don't regret my purchase but it did seem like every match was about 5 minutes too long. I thought I must have missed something during the explosion, what a shitty way to end the show. I was at Royal Rumble 2006 and the ending of the show pissed us all off, but it at least looked good on TV.
  21. Saturday night ppvs make way more sense but I'm always off work Mondays and Tuesdays so I'm thrilled Revolution is on a Sunday this year. It will be my first purchase of an AEW ppv. I get up at 2 am every day so I'll probably need to take a nap if I want to make it to the Exploding Barbed Wire match. I'll probably watch it through the Bleacher Report app on my tv unless y'all have had bad experiences.
  22. I've never played a Final Fantasy game outside of a demo disc of FF8 I had on PS1 or PS2 over 15 years ago. Looking forward to giving the FF7 remake a shot, though I've seen mixed-ish reviews
  23. I thought Brock's undefeated streak when he debuted in 2002 was wrapped up pretty well. He looked so awesome tossing Big Show around at Survivor Series that the title loss and screwy finish didn't seem to matter. They also didn't constantly bring up his win/loss record so it didn't become part of his identity like others mentioned
  24. Kept on hearing that Mortal Shell was an easier way to get into the Souls like games and it is absolutely kicking my ass. I get a little better every time I play but it's starting to get frustrating that I just can't nail the combat. I'm at least lasting longer than I did in Bloodborne, hoping it will all click soon.
  25. I was a huge Brock Lesnar fan when he debuted in WWE and was obsessed with tornados when I was younger. It took me at least a year before I made the F5 connection. I legitimately thought his finisher was refreshing the computer, so don't feel bad. To add a little to the discussion, I love reading this weekly thread for all of the different opinions. I've enjoyed Dynamite every time I get to watch but can also admit that they do some stuff that I just don't care for. I give them more leeway because they're not exactly like WWE but they have put some real crap out there, there's just generally more good stuff overall. I will say I don't like a decent chunk of their midcard guys. Dudes like Sydal, Spears, Sabian and Janela to an extent seem like such scrubs. I just don't care about them at all.
