  1. And he got his arm "broken", feels a bit like he is getting written out. Anyway, I felt like the show nothing special outside of Edwards/Callihan part. Generally speaking I don't like hardcore stuff and I wouldn't mind if I never saw another hardcore match again. But, I think that it did what it had to do and progressed things further. And I liked that. Overall match quality was decent, but these days decent just doesn't cut it.
  2. Is it just me or do these new belts look very similar to each other? And by very similar I mean that I can't tell them apart by simply scrolling thru those images, at one point I thought that it was same tag team belt photographed from different angles.
  3. I don't even understand why he has to keep comparing everyone to someone else.
  4. Shouldn't Zack be on his way out considering that he signed with NJPW?
  5. Don't forget Mexico. I was surprised a bit when ZSJ signed with NJPW due to that. I don't really know anything about NJPW's higher ups (and I don't really care), but I wouldn't be surprised if many of them turned out to be on the right politically.
  6. I think argument could be made that Bullet Club with Cody + Golden Lovers being a permanent thing combined would be hotter than Bullet Club with Omega.
  7. Yeah, one would think that showing something on TV would be a bigger problem than talking about it somewhere. But whats up with this Sinclair boogeyman in the first place? From what I remember some time ago issue with Sinclair was that it didn't care about RoH at all while now it looks like whenever something bad happens with RoH (or something that someone doesn't like) Sinclair gets name dropped immediately.
  8. So yeah, another Road To Show in the cans and Elgin picks up a win against Yoshi-Hashi making me feel more convinced that we are moving towards Elgin title match. And who else keeps getting wins in tag matches? Taichi against Ropongi 3k. So maybe White/Elgin and Goto/Taichi at Dominion?
  9. One thing that I noticed now looking at the cards is that Elgin is in good position to challenge either White or Goto for Dominion. White is 99.99% sure to retain so maybe Elgin/White? Would kinda make sense to feed him to White, I think, since after Page and Finlay he needs to get someone a bit more credible. And Elgin obviously needs to put someone over while people in Japan still care about him, doing that for White makes more sense than doing it for Goto.
  10. Might be a work, if I'm not mistaken he has done that before and nothing came out of it.
  11. Probably should go to general thread since I think nothing hints that Bone Soldier is returning on this tour? Either way Captain Japan was pretty bad and everyone, including NJPW, agreed on that so it would be really, really weird if they brought him back so someone new as Bone Soldier makes sense. On the other hand nobody cared about that gimmick so it doesn't really make sense to give it to some new guy either... So my money is on Taguchi playing around for couple of shows, like he did with that horse wrestler thing during Road To WK.
  12. Sorry for double post, but I got brilliant idea while washing dishes and kinda have to share it: Nick Aldis versus Okada in champion versus champion classic that goes 60 minutes time limit draw. Amazing, right?
  13. That will put butt into seats. Could explain it as Cody's asshole act being a bit of facade and that deep down he wanted to be the leader and liked. Because frankly at this point there isn't that much point to continue their feud, but Cody might still go after Omega if he thinks that despite all he did (and won at RoH) everyone still prefers Omega over him. He won, but he lost.
  14. Well that was fun to watch. Match itself wasn't of very high quality, but atmosphere was there and it felt like a big deal. I wonder if second round finish was a botch? It looked like there was some confusion for couple of seconds, but I liked it even more that way. Mistico going full heel is best for business. Also, I can't speak Spanish at all and know only few words, but it looked like commentary team was referencing Ingobernables a lot. So yeah, I'd love full heel Mistico in Ingobernables. Rush, Terrible and Mistico. Thats a cool trio.
  15. Yeah, it is weird thing. I think it could work if Okada isn't the champ by that point, otherwise entire premise of the show feels compromised. But even then, you can't really talk about indie wrestling being over when you are using ace of the second biggest promotion in the world. Last thing we need now is NJPW logo appearing on that All In banner. But I saw some comments and people don't really give a shit, they are excited for Okada and already hoping that maybe Suzuki and Naito could be there too. Its like deep down nobody bought Cody's bullshit in the first place.
  16. But he isn't Muslim as far as I know. Or are you implying that Vince couldn't tell the difference?
  17. Well lets hope that they don't turn him into some evil Asian stereotype or chicken shit heel. Unfortunately I suspect that Asian Mist is unavoidable. I probably would have had more faith in this if Nakamura won the title due to his heel turn rather than it coming after he lost already. To me this suggests that he will get pushed down the card.
  18. Two popular guys delivered a whatever match instead of instant classic so now we have people rationalizing why it was great anyway or how they were fucked due to WM being too long or whatever else. If it was opener we probably would have same people complaining about how WWE didn't have any faith in them and obviously WWE didn't allow them to steal the show since they were opening it.
  19. If I'm not mistaken amount of wrestlers that WWE has hired is growing so even splitting it into two days is only a temporary solution. I wonder how they'll try to cram everyone on those smaller PPVs now that they are not brand exclusive? At some point I think that their approach of "everyone needs to be booked" will have to be changed.
  20. So based on RoH Supercard results I suppose it is safe bet that Cody goes over Ibushi and we have a stand off between Cody and Omega once he beats Page? Would make sense right? Another thing that would make sense, and I think was written by someone here in some thread, would be GoD/Fale turning on Golden Lovers during that 5vs5 match for maximum heat potential and throwing Omega out of Bullet Club. So far makes sense, I think. But here is the weird part: 1. This pretty much guarantees that we are getting either Naito or Suzuki against Okada in Dominion. Ibushi doesn't really have any momentum due to being third wheel in this storyline and Kenny might be busy with Cody at Dominion. And even if he isn't busy with Cody then he doesn't have that much momentum either with loss to Cody and being thrown out of BC. 2. Doing Cody/White and Omega/Okada would be good for next USA show, but if Cody/Omega is happening at Dominion then it would look rather stupid, I think, if both of them would get title shots considering that one of them would have to eat a pin before that. 3. Will Japanese audience really care that Cody beat Omega in RoH show? Basically, would it make sense to give another win for Cody over Omega? Part of me says yes, because Omega eventually beating the shit out of Cody, at say KoPW or even WK13, would be way bigger moment than him just picking a win at Dominion, but at the same time it means that Omega is 99,9% unlikely to get a title shot this year. And Ibushi is getting fucked over by proxy. But maybe they don't have anything planned for Ibushi (which sounds crazy) and this is better than nothing.
  21. This weekend was unique experience for me because I had the opportunity to watch new Jeff Cobb match and new Matanza match on the same day. Sure, Matanza was in mediocre 3vs3 match, but still... I liked him more than your regular Jeff Cobb. Is it just me or is Jeff Cobb missing something? He looks good, he wrestles well, but he doesn't really have a presence in the ring. When he is Matanza this problem seems to go away, at least for me.
  22. I'm not sure what RoH can really do. Sure, they are based in USA and NJPW/CMLL want to be bigger in USA, but RoH is still a little brother in this relationship. Is RoH in essence a Bullet Club show because Delirious wants this or because NJPW wants that? Is one of their top guys, Lethal, eating a pin in tag team match because Delirious wants it? Or because NJPW ain't giving them Tanahashi otherwise? Did Delirious come out with this brilliant idea of RoH trios champs getting beaten clean in SSE opener by a team that has somewhat flopped in NJPW? As for getting excited for Tanahashi/Jay vs Briscoes, well I think everyone knows that Tanahashi isn't going to stick around so the outcome was telegraphed the moment that match was announced. In theory I can get behind the idea of putting Omega/Cody in semi-main because this is NJPW program and it isn't ending here so positioning your world champ on the top and have him beat another guy, who is becoming NJPW-guy in everyone's mind, might make sense. But on the other hand maybe you shouldn't be doing this big course correction on your biggest show when it was already built around being Bullet Club big show?
  23. I guess thats best possible outcome they could do. Nobody else was really booked as credible threat to Aries asides of Cage and I'm sure that they don't want to do Aries/Cage this soon so doing a triple threat rematch that Aries lost makes sense.
  24. I think that bringing in Jeremiah Crane character (if LU allows obviously) would make sense for Impact and further build up Sami as basically insane person with split personalities. So yeah, they should totally reference this event.
  25. Hopefully a Zack/Suzuki tag team and maybe Zack/Suzuki singles match at WK for the leadership of the stable? But for now I suppose a feud with Ishii is in the cards? Winning it would probably cement Zack in NJPW. And with those UK shows coming up it sound likely that he'll be position as main guy there.
